The World Ends With You

[IMPLANTA Activation BGM: Heaven]

The worldwide activation of the IMPLANTAs came immediately after Xeion's announcement at Avalon. With the signal, Genesis activated every single IMPLANTA across the planet, shrouding the surrounding areas in a brilliant curtain of warm light. This included the activation of the IMPLANTAs that were placed in different dimensions such as the ones in Las Noches and, because of the dimensional hole caused by the transferring of squad nine into the human world, also spread to the entirety of the Sereitei. In short, everyone was absorbed into the light of the IMPLANTAs, allowing their souls to migrate from the physical realm to a realm beyond the bounds of the dimensions they were used to.

In a middle of a vast, white area with nothing but a single balck dot in the middle, all the souls of the people, both the dead, the ones who submitted themselves to sublimation, and the ones that were still alive, converged into that one space where the black dot was. In reality, the black dot was Xeion, standing in the middle of every soul on the planet and along with those souls, countless other souls from different dimensions came. With all those souls from Earth combined, they represented the Will of The World while the souls from the other planes of existences represented the Soul of the Cosmos. All of them surrounded Xeion as would an audience surround a performer.

"Souls of this world and the cosmos, hear me out. I stand before you now to ask for your help for I cannot do this alone even if I wanted to. At present, we are facing a terrible threat that could destroy the balance of not only this world, but of the Cosmic Equilibrium as well," Xeion said. "The Spirit King has been corrupted with prolonged exposure to the negative energies that have built up in the world through an avenue created by the negative energies left behind by the massacre of the Soul Society's Central 46."

Pausing for a bit, Xeion turned back and pointed at the vast white horizon behind him. Suddenly, a clear image of the Corrupted Spirit King, who named himself Hari, destroying the world in such a way that was only possible for a god. "Here is the Spirit King, wiping the slate clean because, from seeing the sheer extent of human violence, deemed it necessary to exterminate humanity and start anew. This is both good and bad, depending on how you look at it."

Turning back to the myriad of souls, Xeion continued. "If you allow this to continue, then humanity will be erased and become reincarnated as new beings who will live in an ever prosperous world of peace and happiness. However, in exchange for that, these beings will lack a sense of free will and will have to follow the will of the Spirit King for all time."

Raising his right hand, and image of a peaceful world, full of smiling faces and people, surrounded by a lush and beautiful garden appeared. It seemed to be the perfect society, but everyone lived according to an ultimate law dictated by a being who constantly watched over them.

"On the other hand, if you stop this, everything will be returned to normal. You will have the same world, full of strife and hardship; a world full of misery and sorrow that tests human beings day by day. However, in this world, humans are free to choose the path that they want. Everyone is free to seek out their own dreams and fulfill their potentials."

Raising his left hand, the image of a war-torn world appeared. Everyone was crying, killing, and trying to survive each and every day. However, in that image too, there was a part that shows people helping others out to the best of their abilities. It showed their genuine love, their devotion, and their heart -- something the other image did not have.

"We are but a neutral party that acts on your will for it is not us, but humanity, who will decide for themselves the path that they want to choose. You are beings who possess the ultimate power to bring about a new beginning or the ultimate end. Now, it is time to decide where your heart lies."

Xeion looked up at the entirety of the souls and gave them a gentle smile. He raised his hand out to them, gesturing that their decision was theirs and theirs alone. All that was left was for humanity to decide whether or not they shall allow themselves to be ruled under in peace and harmony, or fight to reclaim the life full of freedom full of hardship and obstacles that test them day by day.

"The world ends with you," he murmured before he ended.

The chorus of shouts coming from the countless human souls resonated even within the limitless space where they were all in. Their voices, ringing like bells on a spring morning, were loud and clear; and their lips held but one message -- to save this world with their own hands. Even in the face of such an overwhelming adversary, they would still want to fight for the sake of their impure world. While other beings may find it confusing that the human race would choose the dirty world that they lived in over the world that was about to be, to Xeion, it did not matter for he, too, shared the same sentiments as the souls who wanted to fight for the world -- he just was not able to voice it out seeing that he was, ever since the beginning, part of a neutral power.

"You have shown us your answer, human beings. Now, it is time to see it through," Xeion said as he turned around and drew Elena out of her scabbard and slowly raised it in front of him. Cosmic Energy rushed out from her core, enveloping the former captain of squad nine in a sea of powerful energies. The pure white world that the souls were in then began to shake as Xeion began to link the two dimensions so as to get the soul of the Spirit King, Hari, into a field where there would be no chance of collateral damage; where everyone can let loose with everything they have. After it was done and Hari was successfully transferred from the other dimension into the current dimension they were all in, Xeion flipped over Elena and pointed her tip directly at his own heart. It was here that countless strings of light burst out from his own body and scattered across the vast plane and connected with the hearts of every soul present there; a massive amount of energy flowing inside them via the strings.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us the most. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous, or powerful? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of The World. Your playing small does do The World any good. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory and power that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

Responding to the Will of the World, the Soul of the Cosmos entered Xeion. He gripped Elena's hilt even, smiling as he did, more before he uttered the words that made everything clear -- that one word that held so much power, yet at the same time, so much responsibility. Xeion knew that if the people decided to fight for the world, then using this was going to be part of it. However, he did not mind it. In his heart, he was happy beyond measure. For Xeion, that was enough. Now, it was time to give Hari a taste of his own medicine and show him the power of the human race; their hopes, their dreams, their wishes, and their light. Everything that made them weak in Hari's eyes will now become their greatest weapon against him.

"Ban...kai."
