Huwayda stretched, her orange fur glistening in the sun. The young cub moved slowly from her spot in the sun, over to the shadey area not to far. It really wasn't possible for Huwayda to move any slower. Some days she wished she could instantly transport herself somewhow, with minimal energy used, unfortunatly that just didn't seem likely.
Huwayda laid underneath the trees and she looked around herself. Her home was very large, and the young cub hadn't even scratched the surface of it. She wasn't allowed near the ruins yet, and she really hadn't even met outside of her family... though that was probably her fault.

Djhet was getting the lay of the land and searching for anything of interest. These days, anything in the temple that didn't look nailed down often found its way into Djhet's possession and study, provided it wasn't just some scrap of rubble. He had come quite a way, far enough to break out of the shadowed structure and out where the air was dry. There were trees in various places surrounding their home, structures he planned to climb some day when he felt the motivation. He was in need of some company now and there seemed to be a few lions mulling about in the dunes, some of them a little too far to bother with. Under one of the trees there was a girl he recognized from class. She was as good as anyone else at the moment, and he soon descended a path down to her and took it upon himself to flop down nearby.
"Hey, it's Huwa, isn't it?" He asked her casually, "What's going on?"
Huwayda raised her eyes to look at who had just spoken to her. She recognized the male from classes and she smiled warmly, her father had always taught her to be nice if nothing else. "Hello" she said her voice slow but light. She wondered why the male was talking to her, sure she had seen him but they had never been friends before or anything.
"It depends who was asking." Huwayda said trying to make a joke, it was half hearted though like most of the things Huwayda did. "Djhet" said lightly finally realizing she did know the males name.
"Well, whatever it is, it doesn't look like it's taking a lot of energy," He pointed out smartly, the corner of his maw quirking in a sly sort of smirk. Of course she knew his name! Who didn't? Maybe not some of the adults, but then, he was just getting started! Surely one day he'd be the name on everyone's tongue. "How come you're out here all by yourself, then?"
"I like being by myself, it means I can relax" Huwayda said wiht a small chuckle. "I quite like relaxing its peaceful." Huwayda didn't really know why she wasn't more interested in doing more, she decided that it was a gene she got from her father. Her father was so much like her, relaxed and didn't mind watching the world go by.
"You are out here by youself too." Huwayda pointed out to the young male. She moved to a sitting positio, she was comfortable around this male but she felt bad and like she didn't want him to judge her.
"Peaceful? Pff... I guess. Kind of boring if you ask me." Though he seemed to fluster a little as she pointed out he was alone as well. Good point! But he was fairly swift to shake it off with a shrug, simply saying, "Sometimes others just can't keep up with me, is all. And now neither of us are alone." He sat up as well, cocking his head at her curiously. "So Hu, are you up for something a little more interesting?"
Huwayda sighed, something more interesting.... she moved back on her legs. Something more interesting meant something requiring energy, energy wasn't something Huwayda had in great quantities.
She looked up to the sky, the day was already a great deal of the way through, it wouldn't be too long before she would hear one of her father's calling her home for the night. Sighing she looked back towards the male, "I suppose.' she said simply. She did need to make friends, and if this would make the male happy then maybe he would be her friend.
"I'm getting a lot of enthusiasm there," He teased her, tutting under his breath. Without warrant, he bumped her playfully with his shoulder. "Have you been to the lake yet?"
Huwayda giggled at the playful bump, it was odd for her to be girly and playful, and althoguh to a lot of others, this wouldn't seem like overly playful Huwayda was actually finding herself with little bits of excitement bubbling over.
"The lake?" Huwayda asked while she thought, "No no, the lake is not somwhere I have been... is that where we are going to go?" she asked. Huwayda of course hadn't been to many places in the pride, perhaps this was her own fault, she thought to herself. She began to wonder if perhaps she should be a go getter instead of laying about all the time, but then again she loved lounging. "Will you take me there?" she asked, as she realized how exciting a lake sounded.
"Yep, that's where we're going." He decided then and there with a no. With a confident smile her way, he nodded, "Of course I'll take you, Hu. We can look at the Shrine Ilse, just like what they talk about in class. The path is this way... I think." He began to lead her around the side of the temple, sure that if they wandered long enough, they'd find the lake. It was a stretch of water on the south side of the temple, around the Shrine of Sekhmet. "What do you think of class so far, anyway?"
Huwayda trotted behind the male cub, happy to be following him, and excited to possibly have a new friend. She kept up fairly easily with with the male cub which surprised her as she really wasn't use to moving this quickly, but she felt an urge, for perhaps the first time in her life to move.
"Hrm Classes" she huffed. "They definently aren't my favourite thing in the world. They are just so early in the morning and I want to be able to sleep in." she sighed it was fun to sleep, the most activity that this little cub got was in her sleep. "My Daddy's say that I have to go though so I will keep going, I guess." she smiled, "What about you Djhet what do you think of school?"
