Background history:
Vierlin wasn’t always this rich or successful. In fact, she was a slave for at least half her life. A gladiator, forced to fight in order to survive for one more day.
She was born in a small house. The master of arms’ daughter, trained in combat from the very childhood. And life wasn’t too bad then. Until a greater house attacked them, killing the royal family and Vierlin’s loyal mother, who died protecting them all. Any survivors were taken in as slaves. That’s when her freedom was taken away. All the abuse and molestations only made the fierce blood inside her boil more. Never getting along with the other slaves, and attacking any house authority that approached her. Eventually she was told to fight for her right to live, for the matron’s and her guests amusement. This lasted for several decades until the matron got bored of her slave and sold her off to a proper arena, where Vierlin continued her career as a gladiator for another hundred years, earning the all time champion title. She got very famous. So famous, that in fact one wealthy patron (Gelyl) decided to buy her freedom, and in return, proposed a partnership. Combining his riches and her fame in order to open their own establishment.
Now, Vierlin is one of the most famous and wealthiest people in Starless Sea and a proud owner of “The Scorpion”. Mostly spending her time in apartments with a “personal” slave or few, getting drugged or drunk. Sometimes she will go watch the arena fights, or go on trips in search of new slaves or creatures for the arena.
Combat
Weaponry: Ever since gaining her freedom, she has collected quite a few.
Her favourites are: Naginata, Sang Kauw, Morning Star, Battle Axe, Dirk, Gladius.
Always carries a dirk, strapped to her inner thigh.
Armoury: Owns two sets of armour. Black full plate, custom made; and the other is dark leather armour with metal plate parts over vital body parts.
Skills and/or Powers: Due to lots of improvised fighting in the arenas, Vierlin can handle almost any weapon she’ll come across. She has also learned parts of various fighting styles by observing her opponents and the creatures she fought before, making her a rather unpredictable and fierce fighter.
Physical Weakness: Easy to intimidate, short tempered and definitely not the brightest in the bunch. Most likely to act on instinct, instead of thinking things through. Also, most of the times she will be on some sort of intoxicant like alcohol or drugs.
