Anato'hara had slipped away from his mother's side early that morning, assuring himself that she would be there when he got back, though he wasn't assured that she would be. The elder hyena enjoyed wandering as much as her son did, which meant he'd likely inherited the trait from her. The young male smiled to himself as his paws hit the ground with satisfying thuds, clouds of dust flaring out from around his paws.
Glancing upwards, he narrowed his gaze as he spotted a strange object in the sky. Pausing in his stroll, he sat down with a thud, out in the open, without trying to find shade or anything to protect him. He didn't even hesitate as he raised himself up on his back legs, flopping himself onto his back with a loud thud. He laid sprawled on his back, eying the clouds above him.
'That one looks like a lion', he mused happily, critically examining the cloud. 'and that one looks like a dog! Or maybe...maybe it's a duck.'

Njeve was in the middle of stalking a young rabbit when she spotted the earth and fire colored hyena. He was starring up at the clouds like a silly thing. His random thud onto his back on the ground had alerted the rabbit Njeve was staking that there was someone nearby and it fled, causing Njeve's ears to fall back onto her head in annoyance. If she could not practice walking on soft paws on the rabbit, she would practice it on the pup.
Njeve walked slowly, and as silently as possible as she could towards the cloud gazing male, her tail flicking side to side slowly with every step she took. She wasn't intentionally malicious, but practice was important, and if she could get in a good scare on someone it would be considered a small bonus. All in good fun, of course.

Anato did not see the approaching female stalking him, entranced by the beautiful clouds above him. The male was a strange creature to most, as he spent more time in his own little world then he did in the 'real' world that everyone else lived in.
"Oh!" He said out loud, with a light yip, spying a particularly nice cloud. "A hyena!" He grinned up at the sky, his expression open and trusting with a look of pure delight. He wasn't referring to the female who was watching him, but to the cloud above that looked vaguely (but not really) like a hyena. In his glee, his tail had begun to wag on the floor, disturbing the dust and causing a slight dust cloud around him, which was caught in the breeze and blown away.
He was happily oblivious of anything else, except the clouds.
