Name: Azuran
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Rank: Weyrbrat/Candidate

History: Born and raised in the Weyr, Azuran has known no other life but this. Not that he minds or anything. He never really knew his parents (only having heard that his father was one of the riders supposedly) and he’s always maintained a rather loose connection with his foster mother, but all in all he’s quite happy with life. The youth formed good friendships with a couple of the others his age, and whether busy working or not he was generally pretty good at keeping himself entertained.

Appearance: Azuran has medium length black hair with longer bangs that partially cover his right eye. His eyes are a vibrant blue color, and his skin is only slightly tanned. His body is of a lean build, and his total height is approximately 5’8”.

Personality:

Troublemaker- Growing up around the Weyr, Azuran was often pegged as a bit of a troublemaker. Whenever a bucket of sand mysteriously appeared above a doorway or important tools weren’t in their usual places, it could usually be traced back to the ebony-haired youth. At least, if one were to investigate far enough into the matter. For you see, Azuran was normally never around to actually see the results of his schemes, instead just as pleased to hear about them second-hand later on. (Hey, he had to have some way to entertain himself in his spare time.) He was very careful in not leaving any tracks or clues, but not always successful. Granted, none of his pranks were ever particularly harmful, but they were certainly annoying enough to those involved. Fortunately, with age, these pranks have died down a lot in frequency.

Steadfast- When Azuran makes a decision to do something, he sticks to it. Granted, not all of his decisions are always the wisest, but it takes a lot of reasonable persuasion to deter him from his path.

Diligent- Despite his troublemaking ways, when Azuran is given a task he is quite diligent in seeing the task to completion. Even if a task is painfully boring he won’t leave it undone. Although beware, such extreme boredom tends to lead to inspiration for more "entertainment".

Courteous- Azuran is outwardly friendly to basically anyone he meets. Even if he is not particularly fond of a person, he will still try his best to at least be polite and civil. Because of this he generally gets along with others fairly well.

Reclusive- When not busy working around the Weyr or spending time with a few close friends, Azuran can be quite reclusive. So much so, in fact, that it is often difficult to find him when needed if the person searching doesn't know where to look. While he may always be polite around others, the youth is actually not very fond of being around too many people. This often makes him quite difficult to get a hold of, and even his foster-parent gets fed up with his disappearances from time to time. This seems almost to be a paradox given his occasional trouble making ways, but really those incidents are more just for private amusement than for attracting any sort of attention. Tis also why most of his schemes are rather small-scale and non-impressive.

Short-sighted- While his intentions are usually good, Azuran doesn’t necessarily always think things through. Ideas that may sound good at the time might actually not have such great results in the long run. Thankfully, he has a rather sensible friend, Maisalyn, who is usually rather quick to point out the errors in his logic.

Loyal- After all is said and done, when it is time to be serious Azuran is right there with the best of them. The Weyr and those within are important to him, and he would do anything to protect them. He dreams of someday becoming a dragon rider so that he may be able to do more to help protect and serve the Weyr.

One last, very minor thing:

Can you possibly tie in the troublemaker trait with the rest? People who cause trouble generally do it because they want attention or something from other people, and I'm not sure how that fits in with him being a recluse/someone who doesn't favour people that much. Wouldn't causing trouble draw lots of people to the scene, thus making him more noticeable to the people he's avoiding?
