 It was a warm spring morning when Hikari decided that today would be the day she would venture into the forest. The usdia had become bored and had an urge to jump into an adventure and a new area of the forest seemed like just the right way to get just that. She smiled to herself as she heard the sounds of birds chattering away in the trees. Everything here was so filled with life! Hikari halted in front of some yellow flowers that were slowly sprouting up from the ground and bent her head down so that she could smell them. Yup, the forest was filled with life indeed.

Starlet was rolling around in the field. Stretching herself out, and just relaxing. She flopped over onto her side, breathing. The air was nice. She was glad winter was over. Getting around in the snow was very hard when you're so small. Then rolling onto her feet, and getting a little dizzy from standing so fast, she saw the other usdia.
"ooh... Hey!~" She shouted, as she pranced her way over to the other mare. She had a little to much energy.

Well this was a plesant surprise! Hikari's ventures had brought her to meet another usadia. "Hello!" She replied cheerful with a big smile. The other seemed friendly and nice too. That was a good sign. She went over to meet the other mare halfway and just giggled noticing the others energy. She took it as quite a good thing. "Nice to see you here! My name is Hikari."

"I'm Starlet! I live down that path over there by the river. I've never seen you around here before. I hope you're finding the area to your liking. It's probably my favorite. I have to say that I love the grass here." She spouted out all at once. The other mare had such a cute mane style, Starlet was a little jealous, she was never able to do anything with her mane.

"Starlet? That's a cute name! I see why you were named that too," She said, noting the star markings on the other. Hikari thought they were very pretty. "Yeah I'm a little new to the area. Wanted to go on a bit of an adventure today! I was so bored before..." She looked behind her. "And I come from back there... Somewhere... Hm.. Oh well I'll find my way back later..."

Starlet blinked at her a couples times. Thats right, she got her pelt from her dad. She didn't say anything, and just smiled before looking in the general direction. "Well I do certainly hope you can find your way home. If not, you can stay with me for the night." Starlet nodded. It was important for her to make friends, because she was a friendly horse!
"I can show you to a great wading pool if you'd like!"

Staying the night with a new friend, now that sounded enjoyable. She nodded her head a few times. "Oh yes, I would love to see it! That would be great!" She said happily. Seeing new things was an adventure in itself after all.

Starlet was proud of her ability to make a new friend. "Okay! Lets go this way~" She cheered as she lead the way to the path. The wadding pool was just a pond, but it was nice for the shorter horses with no risk of sinking.
Taking the other mare to the pool was accomplished in a few minutes. "There it is!" Starlet danced about. She was excited about sharing this spot. Because now they might run into each other more often.

Hikari beamed at the sight when the two of them arrived. "Oh how nice..." she trotted up to the water and stuck a hoof into it experimently. It was a little cold but Hikari did not mind it. "This is great!" She said as she let herself go in a little deeper. Hikari looked back at her new friend. "You're coming in too, right?" she asked.

"Of course~!" Starlet wiggled her butt, and then jumped forward into the water, making a splash. The water would only go to their bellies, which make it safe. The female would bound around in the water happily. She really enjoyed the water.
"As the sun sits on it more, it gets warmer." She told Hikari. "So later in the summer it'll be very comfortable."

"Oh I see! Yeah I know some usadia are picky about getting in the water if its too cold. I don't really care. I think it's fun!" After saying this, Hikari splashed a the other a little bit as if to demonstrate. Not too much, in case the other didn't like it. She laughed and moved away, in case Starlet decided to splash her back.

Star giggled when she got splashed. "Oh it's on now!" And she started to jump around, and splash at Hikari. Starlet was by no means a dainty mare. And she loved to play around.
As the two played, the day started to pass by quickly.

By the end of their water fight, Hikari had become drenched in water. Her mane and tail were dripping as she made her way out of the pool of water. She giggled as she shook herself off in an attempt to get dry. "That was a lot of fun!" She announced and smiled bak at the other. "Thanks for showing me this place."

Starlet was in the same situation. She was soaking wet, and tried to shake herself dry as well. "Oh its no problem really. It would nice if came once in a while so we could play again." The mare nodded. "But I guess its probably time we get you on the right path home, right?"

Hikari nodded her head. "Yeah probably.. I'm kind of tired. I'll definitly come back here sometime so I'll see you again for sure." She turned to leave but looked back at her new friend one last time. "Bye Starlet! Thanks again!"
