So this psycho American woman went to Canada and apparently caused some sort of riot over some stuff she has said. My teacher said one of the things she said was that Muslims need to be banned from airplanes. >.>
I think she needs to be banned from existence. As Americans, we are royally pissed that she did this. She makes the rest of us look bad and right now a lot of us want to wring her neck both because she gives Americans a bad reputation and because she said such appalling things.
It really ticks me off when one stupid American goes and makes the rest of us look bad. When I was little I didn't know racism existed, but it's idiots like this that remind me it is sadly still going strong.

It's unfortunate that that lady said those things and feels that way. But there are weird, racist, and unstable people in every country. So no person in their right mind is going to blame or judge all Americans just because of that one lady.

It's true that some people will. But I didn't say no one will. I said no one in their right mind will. wink

If you saw a Jewish man having a racist fit on a plane would you say, "Wow, Jewish people must all be racist!"? Of course not. Same situation.

Because stable adults know that people are all different, and one random person who doesn't even hold a political or elected position absolutely does not represent or speak for the rest of us.

So honestly, if anyone gets prejudiced against Americans just because of that one woman, then they're not all there and were prone to prejudice to begin with. And if that's the case, who cares what they think?

Jeez. Another idiot American D< haven't we got enough of them already?

Any time I was at my grandfather's house, I was walking on eggshells. He's a strong "Pits will gnaw your arm off." believer, and he thinks that all Muslims are terrorists and that we should throw them out of the country.

Once after he said that, my mom took me to Wal-mart to get some stuff. While we were in the men's cologne area getting something for him, she said "Grandpa's just racist. Not all Muslim's are bad. Sammy and Hayat and Nadia ((cousins of mine)) are muslim, and they're wonderful people."

Me, bing kickass awesome, said "I know. He's just old."
