The white leopard huffed, appearing immensely frustrated as he continued to wander the rogue lands. He was consumed with his troubling thoughts, and scanned the horizon for a tree to do his daily multitasking ritual; Rest and contemplate. He was reluctant to wander too far from his den, but that silhouette of a tree in the distance was the nearest one in sight...

Linje stifled a laugh as he got closer, the tree revealing itself from the shadows. The tree's image brought memories that had otherwise been locked away in the darkest layers of his mind. This is the place he first met his mate... and in the beginning, he had tried to rush her out. What an utter failure that was.

He reached the trunk, peering up into the branches, and to his dismay... There was a leopard already there. With a snarl, Linje gracefully scaled the tree and arrived to confront the stranger. But wait... He paused, awkwardly shifting as the branches swayed beneath both of the feline's weight. This leopard was female. And this was the beginning of the scenario that exactly mirrored the way he met Nyoka. Linje was confident the results wouldn't play out the same, but there could be some difficulties... Females had always found him incredibly hard to resist, after all.

"This tree is mine." He stated it simply, taking in a breath of air to appear bigger and more superior. "Take your leave... immediately."

She was not the type to be easily bullied. In fact, she wasnt the type to really care about others should they come at her in such a way. She had no desire to give up the tree, and she wouldnt. She opened one eye.. A single chocolate eye as she gazed down at the male who was puffed up. She chuckled and shook her head. So he was trying to appear bigger, eh? Well.. he looked like a big leopard, but too bad that did nothing to intimidate her. She lifted her head, and looked down at him, now with both eyes opened.

"Im sorry, but I think I heard you say something." She said, raising an eyebrow as if daring him to do it again. Some could be so territorial, but then again, she knew that she was the same way.

"And I dont smell your scent on this tree. How long ago was it yours." She chuckled again, knowing this tree was likely a tree that he had never seen before.

Linje's chest swelled with fury as the female had disrespected his wishes... But he was determined to keep his composed mask in perfect condition. White paws slid gracefully across the bark until the male sat directly in front of the female, silver claws exposed. "I said this tree is mine. I don't have to prove to you that it is, nor do I need to repeat my command." He let his powerful voice quake through the branches of the tree as he spoke. "A pretty face like yours should be spared, after all."

Linje peered at the stranger through purple eyes with increasing interest. Her eyes caught him in a strange place between relief and disappointment. They didn't resemble the warmth and kindness of Nyoka's eyes in the slightest. This was unfortunate for her, because now Linje would need to summon all of his wrath and fury if his command had failed the second time. Linje's sharp talons sliced through the bark beneath him, as if enhancing the threat of his words. He'd never hesitated to strike a female in the past. Especially one so defiant.

He didnt see the warmth and kindness, because she didnt take kindly to others pushing her around. She let a growl escape her maw, but she didnt show she was truly upset. Of course, she wasnt really that upset. But she was going to stand her ground, as she had never let someone push her around before, and she wasnt about to start now.

"And I do not need to prove to you that you do not scare me, and that you will not just take this tree from me." She said, her voice calm. She wasnt going to strike the male, not really..Though if he thought it were possible, the safer she would be.

"A handsome face such as yours shouldnt look so angry." She said, raising a paw to her face to lick at it, and place it back down. She sat up on the branch, though she did not really relinquish the tree.

Linje let the rumbling growl spill freely from his throat as the female defied him once more. But as she responded with her own threat, the leopard delayed his violent retaliation. If this was going to be an ugly scuffle, Linje would rather not dirty his perfect coat. But when he tried to think of other options, his mind went blank. Perhaps there was just no avoiding it this time.

But then the female gave him a compliment. Whether it was laced with sarcasm or contempt, a compliment was always a compliment, and Linje gladly took it. The scowl on his lips faded away, and a gentle grin took its place. "Thank you..." He said, lifting a paw to stroke the glimmering fur of his chest. "But I hope you understand, I can't let you stay. That was two generous warnings already. Now I have no choice but to let you leave with a few scars." The paw rose further as his whole body tensed, and he lashed at the air, armed with sharp claws that caused the wind to sing. It was a mock swipe, of course. I'm much too generous, the conceited leopard thought to himself with a smirk. If this doesn't get rid of her, the next certainly will.

She heard his growl, and gave her chocolate eyes a roll, before stretching out her paws, as if she was maybe contemplating jumping from the tree..However she had no intention of it. Least, not without taking him with her. She saw him start to preen his fur, and grinned even wider.
Her eyes taking on a mischevious look. She stood, letting her tail hit under his chin, and gave her most feminine look. She was hoping to beguile him if only for the moment.

"Oh..Is that so?" She asked.. When she was sure she had his attention, and in more ways than one, she giggled, and turned to face him, approaching closer and closer to his face as if she might lean in and lick his cheek.

"Whose saying Im letting -you- stay." She mused, and without warning lifted up both paws and pushed the male from the tree, grinning ear to ear. Though she followed, but in a less painful way, by climbing down the tree and meeting him at the bottom.

The stranger suddenly took on a seductive air, causing Linje's eyes to flutter closed, and a dreamy grin to warm his features. Ahh, they just can't resist me... He thought to himself as the female crept closer. He couldn't deny that he appreciated the alluring female's earthy scent, but a tugging nag in the back of his thoughts reminded him that his mate could still be nearby. Linje had hardly been listening to her words, but rather hypnotized by the voice that obviously adored his doubtlessly perfect physique. But the final statement caused his eyes to snap open and his grin to vanish - just as she had lifted her paws to his chest. A twist of confusion and bafflement fled through his eyes as the force threw him off balance. The white leopard found himself displaced from his regal throne, scrambling in the air with claws extended. He caught the tree's limb in a single burst of clarity, but it only withholds him for a moment before his claws rip across the bark and he smashes through the foliage with a deafening crash.

Finally finding himself among the grime of the earth, Linje struggled to regain his majestic posture, despite the glaringly obvious stains of black dirt against his glistening white coat. He met the female with a glare. "H-how dare you..." But it could have been an accident, she was... after all... about to plant a lick on his cheek. "You clumsy peasant!" Linje roared, but he couldn't hide his white cheeks flushing with color and warmth.

She knew she had him when his face began to look dreamy. Had she not been trying to trick him, she would have rolled her eyes. She wasnt sure why he looked that way, not like she had offered him anything..right? Seems she didnt know males too well.

She laughed and shook her head when he stood to yell at her. She knew he'd be angry. In all honesty though she hadnt really cared. He was trying to take her tree from her, and shed rather him lose it too, than just give it to him.

"Im no peasant dear sir. I happen to be a pure blooded leopard who has strong bloodlines." But she wasnt sure really, of her family. So she was just trying to make him guilty. She was determined to make him feel that way.. or at least try.

Linje remained confused about the female's actions when she failed to answer his unvoiced question. Well maybe it would have helped if he actually verbalized his inquisition about the shove being a total mistake. It doesn't matter anymore, though. Linje had lost all interest. His deep purple eyes gave the "peasant" one last glare before he effortlessly scaled the tree, reclaiming his throne.

It was hard to admit, but Linje did appreciate the female's confidence. She would make an excellent companion if only she was a little more... obedient. "I could care less about your origins, or the strength of your family's blood." Linje snorted angrily as he relaxed once more on his favorite branch. Once again looking down on the female, just as it should be. "Highness isn't inherited, after all. It is granted by the gods..."

Linje's tail flickered at the words, a faint smile forming over his lips. Oh how very wise of the gods to chose him. Him... and not some filthy peasant... like the one who was still next to his tree? Linje glanced at her, lips curled with disgust. "You are dismissed."
