There are just some things that shouldn't change. Lots of things change...it was the way of the world, it was how it worked. But there were just some things ..that shouldn't change and some people who refused to.

He was holding the letter in his hand, he was too old for this. Graying hair and and a salt and pepper beard. A scar across his eye from the war...don't ask him which one for he would regail you with how when he was your age he had to walk sixteen miles to school, non of this bussing to school crap.

Scratching the beard he kept it trimmed neatly, his hair brushed over in an old fashion sixties style and it had stayed that way for countless years. He wasn't a man of change. Now a days it was hard to tell who was a girl or a boy...the music was loud and abrasive to the ears..he refused to use a cane, refused helped from everyone and yet grumbeled when no one offered.

He looked around grumbling under his breath, wearing a navy blue jacket with red patches on the shoulders, wondering if he was in the right place.

He really wasn't a man of change.

Assuming the place he was headed to was the Mystic Mixers Laboratories, he'd ended up at the right location. There was a sign stating the name of the establishment, and a very tall pink haired woman in front of it, who was presently in the process of washing a few of the windows.

Turning around, she was revealed to be a very plain but intimidating (to most, anyway) woman with a large visor covering her eyes, and a neat gray uniform covering most of her very lean figure. It didn't take more than a few steps for Kayen Miyo to get from her perch to in front of the guardian-to-be and she looked ready to discuss business.

"Good day. Are you here about a letter?"

The man looked at the ...was this a woman? Nothing about the female in front of him spouted femininity and it only caused the wrinkles around his mouth to crease further into the frown he was wearing. He looked at the woman, considering her more a man than a woman despite the pink hair and didn't back down.

"Yes," He reached into his jacket pocket retrieving the letter and then waved it in front of her face, "Do you consider this some sort of sick joke?" He started, sounding rather ticked about the subject. Seriously it had to be some persons idea of making fun of him. HIM of all people to look after a child. He didn't even have a wife, and grew up a single child. What did he knew about raising a kid? it wasn't that he was too old to do it...he just wasn't the right person for it.

Kayen seemed utterly unphased by his speech or actions, calmly glancing at the letter for authenticity and then nodding. "Of course it is not. We are very serious about our business here and there is no joke about combining humanoids with beast type mythicals to create genetically compounded children." she said quite calmly, as if his problem was he didn't believe what they were creating.

Squinting his eyes he watched the woman. It wasn't really a question of what the children were. Heck..the world seemed comprised of monsters and strange abominations. He shifted on the spot trying to square his shoulders and give her a disapproving look.

"Madam it does not matter to me what these children are combined of..." he started before giving a bit of a sigh. Remembering how dissapointed his mother had been that he never setteled down and gave her grandkids. Though it was too late now...surely she was watching from heaven now.

"Show me these children of yours."

"This way please." Kayen stated calmly, directing him inside. "Do you have a preference towards males or females?" the woman inquired, heading towards a particular hallway where the rooms could be found.
