Willow Frowned at the sky. There were kits sick and the tribe just went on with life... The no-pelts were expected to take care of them... but no one cared what happened. She adjusted the blue rabbit pelt on her back.
She wished sometimes she had been cursed with no pelt... She shivered at the thought. Because her pelt was blue she was thought to be just a small step above other rabbit pelts... And she loved this. A no-pelt was given knowledge where she got a pelt... but why did they bless the unworthy?
She shook her head down to her tail. She would learn... She would show it wasn't just for the unworthy. Her paws padded along the rock ground. She peeked into the sick den. She sniffed and looked at the small kits. She was good... no one was here... She sat next to the kits and looked down at them. They looked like they were cold. They were shivering. She frowned and brushed her tail over the kits' backs. If they were cold make them warm. She tugged the string to her pelt and looked around once more before letting the pelt slip from her back and rest over the two small kits.

Exile trotted into the den, mouth full of barage leaves and charmoline. He hadn't realized they had run out. He made a note to chastise the younger no-pelt who had been watching over the den before him that day. Looking up he noticed a rabbit-favored, her pelt dropped over the two sick kits. Briefly he wondered if they were hers. He stayed quiet, knowing that he shouldn't disturb her either way. She was a favored and he was beneath her, simply unworthy. Not that he hadn't come to love his life. He chewed the charmoline slowly, making sure that it had been chewed not to much, but not to little. It was important that herbs be given just right, especially to young kits like those in his care.

Willow sighed. She twitched her tail and looked from the kits to her pelt and back. She didn't know the kits. She just felt that someone should be taking more care of them... shouldn't they be healthy again?
She sighed and closed her eyes. As long as no one was- She twitched her ears and frowned. Chewing? She heard chewing? She turned her fur puffed up and her claws unsheathed, she hissed. Seeing the no-pelt she sheathed her claws but her fur stayed puffed out. A no-pelt was here... looking at her with out her pelt. She suddenly felt very exposed. She flicked her tail. She was in fact intruding on his space...
Letting the fur on her neck and spine lay flat and she sat. licking her paw she looked back at the kits ignoring the no-pelt completely.

Exile looked away sensing the discomfort of the she-cat. He chastised himself for upsetting her. Some no-pelt he was. With a sigh he edged over and encouraged the little kits to finish chewing the herbs. Watching them with a careful eye he moved away, checking to make sure they needed nothing else. With a slight hiss at himself he noticed that there were quite a few herbs that needed to be replaced. How he hadn't noticed this was beyond him. Making a mental list he settled down onto his belly to watch the kits.

They sat in silence. Willow wouldn't be the first to speak. She was too good for that. But to be scared away by a no-pelt... She mentally berated herself. When one of the small bundles tried to crawl from benethe the rabbit pelt willow reached out and took it way. Maybe keeping the warm wasn't the best. She re-tied(Because apparently cats can tie.) the rabbit's string. She twitched her tail and flicked her ear at the no-pelt. That little signal was meant to call the no-pelt after her.
She Glanced over the kits once again before turning and walking out. She needed the no-pelt's help... She blinked. How was she supposed to ask a favor of a no-pelt.

Exile kept his half of the silence. It wasn't his place to speak first. Or to her at all. He watched her gentle nudge of the kitten. I didn't know favored's had the capacity to care for the little ones. He didn't think they were heartless. Far from it. Since becoming a no-pelt he had discovered that the spirits weren't punishing no-pelts, it was simply that the spirits saw that they were more suited to caring for the camp, the kits, and even favoreds.
Seeing her beckon him he trotted out behind her. It was best to let the little ones rest anyway. Once outside he stood alert but subservient before her, patiently waiting.

Willow twitched her ears nervously. "Im Willow Skywisp...." She didn't know any cats aside from other rabbit favored. So she figured she should introduce herself. Her pelt rested lightly on her back and her eyes stared at the tom.
She frowned. She still had the feeling of being better. It was taught to seekers who brought back pelts to then hate those who didn't. Hate was a strong word. She blinked. "How are the kits?" She closed her eyes. "Ive seen them, but i wouldn't know the first thing about...knowing what is wrong with them..."

"A pleasure to meet you. I am Exile." He bowed his head out of respect. He wasn't sure how else to greet her. Even as a seeker he had been terrible at interacting with others. He glanced back at the den. "They'll be just fine. The worst of the fevers have passed. They sleep peacefully now. A day or two more and they'll be fine to rejoin the other kits."

Willow nodded her head. "Thats good to hear." She twitched her ears and looked at the tom. She didn';t like him not looking at her, but she would have been offended if he did. "Aside from caring for those kits... What are you doing today?" She ducked her head a bit and then straightened.
"I have a request i need to ask..." She looked off in the distance and waited.

Exile was taken aback by her question. What am I doing? What an odd thing to ask. He could thing of no reason that a favored would care. Was there some new task that would be thrust on him? He shifted uncomfortably. He actually enjoyed the peace and alone time he got taking care of the ill and young. He wasn't sure he wanted to take a different task. Still, it wasn't his place to be choosy. And this particular female seemed flighty, even for a favored.
"Taking care of the kits is my only duty for now. No other cat can be spared." He paused and shifted his weight yet again. "Any task you give me is a pleasure. I live to please."
