When it first happened all she remembered was agony, though, the weaker she got, soon the less she was feeling… anything. eventually though, everything just stopped making sense, and the next thing she became aware of, was waking up laying in a bed, all of her limbs were heavy, she couldn’t move them very well, and despite feeling very tired… she felt pretty damn good. They got the bullet out okay, they kinda blathered about what had been damaged from the shot, but she hadn’t been in a state to listen to them. The realization that she had been shot sunk in, not that she was particularly happy about it, but she knew she would have to expect something like this sooner or later… but on her first mission? She slept a lot on the first day; they kept her pretty dumbed down with painkillers, Day two, she slept more than usual, but was awake more, Kofuku visited her, frantic, like Faleen expected, Her friend clearly not happy with the seriousness of the situation. Faleen woke up on day three to see Kofuku still there, draped awkwardly in a chair by her bed, asleep. Faleen insisted that she go home, to take a proper rest. Though, Kofuku was saying something about feeding the pokemon, and cake. Faleen couldn’t help but smile in amusement as she watched her friend go; really hoping she would get some sleep. The dark blond grunt sighed softly, laying her head back against her pillow, looking up toward the ceiling. It became quiet again, awkward. Her eyes began to search the room, looking at the details of the walls… the beds, her eyes trailed to the bag of… whatever drugs they were putting into her system from the IV trailing down into her hand. … Wondering for a moment what it would feel like to take it out of her, how much would it really hurt without the drugs? Faleen wasn’t sleepy anymore, just bored now, and laying there doing nothing, not even a tool in her hand or a book to page through was starting to get to her. Through much difficulty and stiffness, she had managed to scoot over enough, barely tempting to strain, to reach for her pokeballs just on the bed side. She’s glad one of the nurses didn’t see, they might scold her pretty hard for moving like that. She needed some company while Kofuku was away, her Umbreon was settled next to her before too long, her fingers settled on his brow, absently tracing around the yellow marking. this felt better, his own body heat was helping to warm her cold side.

"Chingling?"
A bright-eyed little bell floated over Faleen's bed, drifting between the wires and monitors like the explorer of a dense jungle. "Ching?" Red and green streamers waving, Noel tapped a machine. The resulting BEEP! startled her backwards into the IV stand; she hit the fluid bag with a jingle, looking dazed.
"..need to change the bandage regularly and check back to see how it's healing. Now this is your pain medication. Don't go operating heavy machinery while you're on it," a crisply starched nurse was saying to Hayes elsewhere, not too far from Faleen's room. Switch was practically bumping against his trainer's ankles as he followed, but at the jingle he went on the alert and dashed down the hallway.
The nurse frowned and tapped her clipboard. "And don't bring your Pokemon here if you can't control them. Some of you people came back with serious injuries."
Hayes couldn't help glancing at his shoulder, which certainly didn't look or feel very minor to him. But he was walking and coherent, which was perhaps more than could be said for some others. It had been a.. complicated night, and some things were difficult to remember between the flames and gunfire.
He smiled in a vaguely apologetic way at the nurse. "Sorry, I'll get him."
"Pi?" A pair of black-tipped yellow ears appeared over the edge of Faleen's bed. Switch sniffed briefly at its occupants, then scampered over to where the Chingling floated, slightly dazed, by the IV drip. "Pii, pika," the electric-type sat back on his haunches and scolded, beckoning the little bell with a paw. Get over here, you.
As Noel drifted down, Hayes poked his head around the door and spotted a zigzag tail on the other side. "Switch. Hey," he hissed, trying to keep his voice low.

The blank share she had been giving the Ceiling was suddenly snapped back to focus when she heard a small noise jingling through the silence of the room. To Faleen’s surprised, she saw a small… bell… pokemon floating around her room. Not sure what to make of it, Both Faleen and Umbreon simply stared at it, a bit dumbfounded. “um…” she made a noise, awkwardly, before a sudden BEEP when it touched something, startling the little thing. Faleen couldn’t help a little amusement watching it bouncing off of things. Umbreon had stood up, watching it with a frown on his face, as Faleen herself shifted stiffly, trying to sit up as she glanced around for where this Pokemon had come from. She heard voices in the hall, she knew a trainer had to be close by, and that’s when she saw the two ears. Leaning over the best she could without straining her side, to watch what was going on, puzzled, this Pikachu she recognized, especially when he started scolding the little bell fumbling around dizzy around her IV bag.
Umbreon hopped over his Master’s legs, leaning over the edge of the bed to look down at the Pikachu, and then up at the Chingling. he grumbled, annoyed.
The human voice, suddenly speaking quietly from her door, caused Faleen to jerk her head up in surprise, startled at first until she noticed who it was. Since Pikachu was here, she had been expecting Hayes though. “Hayes, hey” she greeted from her bed, smiling. Forgetting for a moment how… humiliating this might be with her in such a weak state, in a hospital gown, strapped up to so many wires (she almost felt like a cyborg if she didn't feel so crappy) and restricted to a bed, just happy to talk to someone familiar again, until Kofuku came back.

Switch waved a paw at the Umbreon. "P'ka chu," he declared. She was already awake anyway. Noel landed between his paws; carrying the errant psychic-type thus, he waddled across the tile towards Hayes.
The blond was looking better than he had been, but still recovering; his movements were stiff and cautious as he moved fully into the room, and he seemed reluctant to make any motions with his right arm, which hung at his side like a marionette's limb. "Heh, hey," he grinned faintly when he recognized the human in the tangle of wires. His gaze met hers when he greeted her, but strayed away to the machines and IV drip. "See Claris got you out all right."

Umberon remained with his two front paws perched at the edge of the bed as he watched Switch and the Chingling make their way back toward the door, snorting at the Pikachu’s comment, but not saying anymore. Yellow ringed ears perked up slightly when he followed the voice at the door; here is where their human stood. It was hard to tell what the dark type was thinking, he didn’t show any aggression, and he just watched him carefully.
Her eyes moved over his arm when he stepped in enough for her to see it, the corners of her lips stiffen in a soft frown, in all honestly, not knowing he had gotten hurt to, she had assumed he was okay since last she saw he was unharmed. She didn’t know how long between when she got shot and when they got back though… could have happened at any time. “I guess he did.” she returned her eyes to meet his “… Can’t remember to much though. I thought it felt like someone was carrying me, I guess I’m going to have to thank him later.” finishing with an awkward grin, before her gaze fell onto his arm again “I didn’t know you got hurt to.”

"Oh, yeah." Hayes glanced at his shoulder as if it was an afterthought he only just now recalled, and smiled ruefully. "It'll slow down my typing for a bit, but." His good shoulder moved in a shrug. "Could've been a lot worse."
"Pi pika," Switch commented, looking vaguely annoyed by his trainer's optimism.
"Anyway, Claris, yeah. And some other grunt - short hair, Bulbasaur. Female," he remembered to add. The blond glanced at the hallway through the door window, deliberating. This probably counted as visiting hours, but it wasn't the critical care ward and he hadn't seen a 'Do Not Disturb sign on the door, which he'd pulled almost to so as not to block anyone in the hall.
Anyway, he was curious. Hayes looked back to Faleen and quirked a brow.
"How'd you end up with Seth?"

Tilting her head down at the mention of the other girl. She knew who he was talking about, the only other girl with that color hair was the one who undid the first lock, her name escaped Faleen at the moment though. "Hum" Watching as he looked out the window for a moment, tilting her head when he raised a brow at her, shifting her own when he asked how she ended up with Seth. It took her a moment to understand what he was talking about.
"Oh! yeah" she announced, it suddenly coming back to her, her brow furrowing as she looked over to her Umbreon, taking her time to replay that event in her mind. "... The officer was shooting, I remember that, he stopped after I tased him, Seth was suddenly behind me again and grabbed me, but someone had released a Snorlax in the hall. Seth couldn’t get it to move so we had to go another way” she said, as If realizing it herself.
she got a troubled look after she explained this though, glaring softly down at her sheets as she replayed it a few more times, remembering details.

Hayes listened to Faleen's muddled recollection, nodding in comprehension, but one sentence caught his attention. "Agent Addison, I think-" It was probably just as well that Faleen looked away, because the Rocket paused, mouth half-open and unsure of how to respond.
Switch cocked an ear at his trainer, then muttered "Pi pika chu," and grabbed at the Chingling's tassel as she tried to float away again. No you don't.
"..you tased him?" he asked after a moment, as if he hadn't quite sure what he'd heard. The blond was doing an admirable job of keeping his expression under control, but the corner of his mouth twitched and his brows knit together slightly.

“I did… yeah I tased him” she repeated, suddenly look around the room, searching for personal affects, her clothes… probably destroyed, her boots, her taser might be with them still. “I made sure to make it light weight enough to be easily portable, but still keep a 50,000 volts, and a 15 foot range for the barbs.” She rambled a bit as she busied herself looking around her room. Reaching a hand up to nudge Umbreon out of the way, causing the pokemon to Jump off the bed, turning to stand on the ground blinking up at her. She couldn’t see anything that would look like it belonged to her other than her pokeballs on her stand next to her. It’s likely her things were under the bed, if the taser was even there, She regretted moving that much though, falling stiffly still again, one arm wrapping gingerly around her waist. She sat still and silent for a moment. “It worked, he stopped shooting and he fell to the ground, I don’t think he shot anyone… “ Something still bothered her though. “Agent Addison?” she asked, looking back up at him when she remembered him say a name.

Hayes listened to this, his mouth working for a moment. He seemed to be on the verge of saying something, but Faleen's movements paused that train of thought and evoked a small frown. The agent stepped forward, a hand out as if to stop her. "Whoa, hey, you're gonna hurt yourself again," he warned.
He paused when Faleen subsided, his hand falling to his side. "Yeah, the one with the braids? I think that was her Snorlax." It answered the question, but the blond was visibly distracted and promptly changed the topic.
"Uh.. look, Faleen.." Hayes started to say. "It's great your taser worked, but.." One hand crept into his hair and he glanced toward the monitor displaying the grunt's blood pressure and heartrate, then looked back to her and smiled rather ruefully.
"That probably wasn't the best time to use it."

Her eyes moved up to look at him when he said that, lips parting slightly, her brow furrowed in question. Despite the fact that she was looking like she was about to ask him why he said that, or what he was talking about, the grunt was completely silent. He wouldn't say that for no reason... what was she missing here...
Her hazel gaze slowly drifted down again, as she went over what happened once more in her mind. Slower this time… remembering details, stepping out of her own thoughts and reasoning’s. Faleen remained silent for a while, reliving, and the longer she sat there, the paler she seemed to get. What if that Snorlax was planned… that moment of her hesitance to stop the shooting could have thrown everything off, what if it hadn’t worked? What if she missed? But above all those chilling “ifs” since “if” is not something she dwelled on since she couldn’t –know-, what she DID know to be complete truth, was that she didn’t do what she was told, not only from one, but BOTH of the elites, they had ordered everyone to do something… and she didn’t obey right away. She couldn’t feel most of her body at this point; her entire system just seemed to freeze in horror as she suddenly realized this. “O Oh…” she managed to mutter somewhat breathlessly, as the hand not around her waist lifted, placing it over one side of her face, covering her eye.

Hayes looked vaguely apprehensive, as most males do when confronted with a female that might burst into tears. You never knew; they tended to go off unexpectedly. Like land mines.
"..yeah," he winced in sympathy as Faleen came to her conclusion. The blond scratched the back of his head and did his best to word things diplomatically. "I get what you were trying to do, and in another situation it would've worked, but .. "
Yeah, no completely gentle way to put this.
"..that wasn't it." She ought to be smart enough to figure out why.
His hand paused; Hayes and Switch watched her for signs of detonation, although in the Pikachu's case it was with the air of a spectator at a fireworks show.

“Oh god” she uttered again, tensing as she shifted her hand to press her fingers to her forehead “oh god… I just… I don’t know what I was thinking.”
She wasn’t thinking, she was scared, and worried, there was a problem, and she acted to try and fix it. She did what she was used to, but that was her old life, in THIS life, all she had to do was follow ORDERS! And she couldn’t even do that right! Because she couldn’t do that simple task, they got separated, caused more confusion then was needed. It was horrifying coming to terms with the reality of what really happened, she was starting to feel quite sick.
“…” After going over this in her head so many times she thought she might throw up, she returned her focus onto Hayes, finding that he was still standing in the room. Feeling her horror being joined by extreme embarrassment, her expression gave that away, her face flushing red as she lowered her hands back into her lap. “There is nothing that I can say that isn’t obvious.” She messed up, it was stupid, she wasn’t thinking, and she’s ganna be in trouble for this… at least she deserved to be.

Kofuku walked through the halls towards the infirmary with a plate of Devil's Food cake in one hand and a heaping bowel of ice cream in the other. Behind her was Hiromi; soft, fluffy, and her tail wagging as usual as she carried in her mouth a large bottle of chocolate Syrup. She hadn't been gone too long, but she needed to leave to bring food to Nina and Gizmo; Hiromi was the exception since she just followed her Human around everywhere and knew better than to touch anything in the room.
Sneaking past the nurses, she made her way through the rooms until she found Faleen's. However, the site of the door being nearly shut caused her to frown; she didn't close the door when she'd left. Standing there for a moment in silence, she could hear a man's voice and her frown deepened. Oh, she knew who it was in there, and she was NOT in the mood to see him.
Throwing the door open to tell Hayes off, she once again stopped and looked at Faleen's expression. Eyes narrowing, she walked over to the table and set the cake and ice cream down, then reached to Hiromi and took the chocolate syrup from the Eevee. "Hayes.... What the HELL man?!"

It would've been rather rude to come in, tell her she'd made a mistake, and then leave her in disarray. He'd done it politely, by all appearances with a good dose of understanding and no cruel intent, but it'd still been done. So Hayes just sort of stood there with his good hand in his pocket, but Noel twisted free of Switch's grasp and floated toward Faleen's bed with a quiet jingle, expression concerned. "Chingling..?"
"Well, hey-" Hayes started to say, but at this point the door burst open to admit an angry-looking Kofuku wielding cake and ice cream. The blond looked mildly taken aback by the purple-haired grunt's vehemence, and rather nonplussed as well. "What?" It seemed a valid question.
Switch twitched his nose at the sweet smells and looked from Kofuku to Faleen to Hayes. Dinner and a show.
