Pale paws tread over the lush, green grass and the large female shook herself, large clumps of thick winter coat slipping away to reveal the fresh gleam of a white thinner coat beneath it. With her winter coat falling away Asha was feeling lighter and freer as she went. Ahead she could see a small hill, just waiting for her to roll down it, stripping away more of the heavy winter coat that dragged her down in the warm weather.
Green eyes bright she hunkered back before darting towards the hill and ran straight up it, pale tongue lolling out of her mouth. One she reached the top of the hill at last she snuffled about the flowers than had begun to bloom, each with its own lulling scent that made her thoughts fuzzy. But with the bright sun shining over head and the cool breezes still coming down from the mountains to the North. Shaking her head to clear her thoughts Asharadine looked down the hill grinning to herself. Oh how good the grass would feel and smell as she rolled in it.
Unable to contain herself any longer she look over down the slop rolling over and over onto her back, the circlet that sat on her brow slipping off and into the grass. For the time she let it be and continued to roll down the hill, rubbing away the old winter coat as she went leaving enough thick, matted fur behind to her to cover a whole other wolf. The locket with the blue-black stone set into wrung about her neck over and over until finally the white she-wolf came to the bottom of the slope and sat herself up. She could feel the true weightlessness after shedding away the masses of fur. Looking up the slope she could see the clumps scattered about where she had rolled over and again, pulling the old fur away finally. There was little of the old fur that still clung to her now, but now it was time to retrieve her circlet, something that was quite dear to her just as her other trinkets.
"Well best get that back on and find some water.." she spoke to herself and looked up the sky where the moon could be seen even in the light of the day. "Raco, I hope you're doing well..." she said in slight pray-like manner. It had been over a year since the fire that had separated her and her mate. Trotting back up the hill to get back her circlet she was faced with one small problem, she wasn't exactly sure how she was going to get it back on. Picking up the dainty trinket in her teeth and lifting a paw she sat back and draped it over her paw and lowered her head, attempting to pull it back into place over at least one of her ears, succeeding in that much she tilted her head to the other side and pawed at the the other side carefully as not to pull it off the successful side.
It took her a few minutes and careful attempting but she finally got it, a little lopsided but the circlet was back in place. it had been much easier when Raco had been with her, he had always put it back into place for her, but now along she had fend for herself in that manner. With that done she stood back up and made her way back down the hillside, sniffing out a possible water source.

Sirius was mad at the world. She was a small wolf, smaller than any of her siblings, born of small parents. Vali had the brawn -- she was thick and muscled, strong and sassy. Next in size was Zephyr, small for a boy but bigger than Siri. Then Zarina, who always bullied her. Momma was tiny, too, no bigger than her teenage daughters at the young age of three. Papa was small, too. Plus, she was weak. Weak-boned and weak-minded.
Life just wasn't lucky.
Especially not when Vali tricked her the way she did. "Oh, sissy you'll be fine!" she'd said in her boastful, snappish way. "Quit being such a coward. Daddy hates cowards!" Not that this was true -- Daddy was a coward, it was where she got it from! -- but it stung nonetheless. So Sirius had broke away from home to hunt for her sisters, sisters that were more capable than her. Her ears flattened back as she stalked the forest, blowing off steam by attacking harmless trees. Then she would feel bad and lick them in an attempt to show her apologies. Damnit! She was just a little coward, wasn't she?
And then she'd found herself in the middle of the forest, lost. Quite lost. Darkness had descended and she had shivered her way through a chilly night, all alone. She was scared -- terrified even. As dawn broke, she continued forwards, or what she hoped was back to Agua Azul. Suddenly, she wished she'd never left the den. But it was too late now. If she got back home, she promised herself that she wouldn't be afraid anymore... Even if that was a hopeless promise. "I'm fine!" she chanted to herself, thin voice growing bolder with each step she took.
There! There was a river, just up ahead. Water! Siri pranced to the side, splashing loudly in the river as the icy water rose up to her chest. She lapped greedily, thirsty -- and that's when she looked up to see a white-pelted, much-bigger wolf headed her way. Sirius, fear being second nature, froze and stiffened, praying the other wolf would pass by the river without a word...

Asharadine looked up as she reached the waters edge, her pale green eyes landing on the tiny female neck deep in the cool waters. She blinked slightly at the sight of the froze femme and wondered what she was doing so deep in the river. A smile spread over Asha's maw as she continued to watch the little she-wolf as she drank from the river. At first she took her time drinking to see if the femme would move but almost instantly grew impatient with herself and sat back up and wriggled her back end before leaping into the water chuckling to herself and making her way over the to the female.
"Hello there!" she called out wagging her tail. The closer she got the more she realized how small the femme was but that was no large matter, she knew some wolves were smaller and others were larger. Her eldest brother Rain was enormous even for a wolf, but she had grown used to his massive size, but she had been gone so long if she were to see Rain now she would likely be taken aback by his size having gotten used to seeing smaller wolves closer to her size in the last good while.
The petite femme was very pretty now that she was closer to her, the bright purple and pink markings almost reminding her of her elder, but youngest brother Joshua. "I'm Asharadine. I hope I haven't frightened you." she said apologetically, but continued to wag her tail furiously.

Sirius gaped at the white female, a silver and amethyst halo around her head. Where did she get such a strange contraption, Siri was curious. But Siri's voice was stuck in her throat, sticking thick like cotton welled up there, blocking any sound from coming out. She tucked her tail and hunkered down as the female -- Ashara-something -- began to speak in an excitable manner. She wanted so badly to roll over, expose her stomach and beg to not be eaten... But the little wolf knew she'd drown. As Asha sprang into the water, Sirius scrambled back, clinging to the shoreline with a screech in her throat -- a screech of fear, the only tangled sound that would come loose. This was the first wolf since Adam that she'd met outside of her large family. She stayed close to home, in the dens, usually.
"Fr-Frightened....me...." She repeated the words softly, throat tight. Of course, she was frightened. She was literally peeing herself! '"Y-You're not going to eat me, are you?" Her voice was thin, emotion filled as she stared back at Asharadine's green eyes with her pale blue ones.

The large she wolf's ear flatted back apologetically and her tail dropped and quit wagging. So she had frightened the little femme, the thought made her feel terrible, she hadn't meant to scare her but rather just catch her attention was all. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you." she said backing away a bit to give the other her space and hopefully no long feel any sort of threat. She lowered her head as she backed onto the opposing bank her coat dripping with the water that had sunk into her pelt.
Back on the other bank she tilted her head at the other female. "Don't worry, I would never eat you." she chuckled lightly. She wasn't sure how the little she wolf could believe she would even consider eating her. Eating the flesh of another wolf was just wrong, though it was not unheard of at the least but it was something she would never be caught dead doing. "What's your name?" Asha asked tilting her head in the opposite direction. As the river flowed between then and fish just below the void between the two. As the larger femme watched the smaller she realized how young she was, still growing, not too long out of puppy-hood.

Sirius watched the white she-wolf with a hint of uncertainty as the other femme spoke. A wave of relief washed over her as Asharadine claimed she didn't eat wolf meat. Siri's tail gave a lone wag as she sat down, soaked to the bone from her hips to her chest. The water had been icy, but now she just felt numb. She gave a quick shake, still keeping her body close to the ground. An omega, her Daddy had called her once. She didn't want to be an omega. The thought made her feel...sorrowful. She blinked wide eyes at Asharadine when asked her name, freezing up again. A stranger... She was talking to a stranger, and though Momma did it all the time, Daddy warned against it. She glanced around. Neither wolf was nearby... It was only her and the white girl. "Sirius," she said quickly, biting the word out. "A-And I have a pack that will come looking for me...so don't even think of k-k-kidnapping me!" The words spilled from her lips, a tremble to them.

"Sirius" Asha repeated sweetly and smiled. "That's such a pretty name, well it is suiting for a pretty little thing such as yourself. You make me feel so plain." she chuckled. She she meant her words at least, one Sirius had back herself onto the back she had been able to catch a good glimpse of of the little ones markings. The great brightly colored wings on her back, the great splash over her eye, tail and legs. It almost made her jealous of the female and her markings.
Asha blinked furiously in confusion as Sirius warned her about not kidnapping her. She'd had no such thoughts or intentions so there was no need for the warning, but where in the world had such an idea come from. "Why is the great world why I consider kidnapping you?" she asked surprised and laying herself down on the bank, allowing her paws to dangle in the cold water. It was such a strange assumption, it took her a few moments to get over she shock.

Sirius blinked at her, scrambling for words. "I...I don't know why you'd kidnap me! I'm not the bad guy!" she squeaked out, leaping to her paws and beginning to pace, tail tucking between her thighs. She worried, oh how she worried. But if Asha wasn't going to kidnap her...then what was she to say? If Asha wasn't the bad guy? What if the white female was the good guy? Relief flooded her system once again and she crept closer to the water's edge, looking across the river at her. Pretty? She wasn't pretty! She was plain, just like her Daddy! Her brow furrowed at the thought. Vali was stunning. Zarina was pretty. Hell, Zephyr was prettier than her... She drooped her ears and sighed, watching Asharadine with curiosity beginning to override her many fears. "Why are you here? I mean, I know why I'm here, I'm lost, but that's besides the point!" She talked quickly, picking her words easily.

"I'm not a bad guy. I've never been a bad guy." she whined slightly and laid back her ears again. Oh what a terrible thing to be called. Sure she hadn't always listened to her father as a pup and had gotten herself into a fair bit of trouble, but she wasn't bad. As far as she was concerned she wasn't the least bit bad, she was the good guy if anything. "I'm a good guy...girl...wolf..." she thought about it, the best words, but what did it matter, she just knew she wasn't bad and that was that.
Asha's head moved back and forth as she watched the younger female. "I'm looking for my mate Raco. We got separated quite some time ago in a large fire. We were looking for a new place to bring our pack to. Well my eldest brother runs the pack, we volunteered to seek out the new lands." she said and shifted her eyes away and pulled her paws out of the water and looked down at the locket around her neck sadly, it was current the only thing she had in connection to her beloved Raco.

Sirius smiled slightly at Asharadine's words. Not a bad guy, but one of the good guys. She wagged her tail, a little bit of Lithium showing through at the fact that she trusted the white femme on her word. Slowly, she eased back into the water, biting a hiss out as the icy water touched her belly. She slowly swam to the other side and pulled herself out, ducking under Asha's gaze and keeping herself low to the ground, but her eyes were bright, ears tipped forwards, tail wagging. "So you're on an adventure?" she asked, shyly. "Did you ever find the new lands, even though you lost your boyfriend?"

Asha looked up and a smile spread over her maw as Sirius made her way across the river. Once out of the water she could see the femme even better and her marking truly were stunning, again reminding her faintly of her brother. Oh how she was jealous of her brothers and their markings. Well, maybe not Rain, he looked more like he was covered in blood, not exactly attracting in her opinion. But Raco was similar to her only to opposite; Dark with two pale markings, one on his neck and one over her right eye.
"I guess you could call it an adventure." she said smiling again. She had started to think of it in such a way now and again, on a grand adventure in search of her beloved so that they could be together again and go back to retrieve her brothers and the rest of what was likely left of their pack. "No, we never found land, at least not yet. I want to find Raco first so that we can go back to my brothers together. I just know he made it out of that fire all right. He's a strong wolf and nothing can hold him back." she said so sure of herself. "What about you? You said you belong to a pack, any boys you like in there?" she asked, dying for the first time in a long time to gossip in some manner, finally having run into a female and not one-track minded males.

Sirius watched her rapt, attention focusing on the white wolf and her story, so sad but beautiful. Sirius was a sucker for a good story -- Momma was good at them, plucking the words from the air and painting a colorful picture. Aunt Phren was pretty good too, although her multi-personalities could be quite...colorful with language. She wagged her tail, sitting down a few yards away from the older wolf...just in case she turned out to be bad afterall and Siri had to run for her life. She got a shiver at the idea and hoped not. She rather liked Asha's story.
"How do you know he's alive?" Her eyebrow raised a little, curiousity peeking through. "I mean, if there was a fire... Tell me about the fire, please..." Her tail gave a whumph against the earth and she offered a shy smile.

"I can just feel it. We have a sort of, special connection I guess you would say." she said carefully thinking about her mate. It almost pained her since it had been so long since she had seen his face, but she could still picture it as though she had just seen him moments ago
"Oh it was terrible, the great flames rising up and the heat coming off the them. It seemed as though the world were ablaze, smoldering away soon to be turned to ash as the fire ate away at everything." she said shivering remembering the flames licking the trees around her and Raco as they ran, trying to escape the forest and the fire. "The flames licked at our heels as we ran, singing our fur and all you could here was the crackling of the fire eating away at the trees and underbrush, the crack...oh it just wouldn't stop it sounds like the world was going to fall in on itself." she closed her eyes and shook her head slowly. "And then, there was the worst sound in the world, the biggest cracking of all a huge, tall tree eaten away at the base fell, Raco and I jumped in opposite directions and the tree fell between it. We were blocked off. We tried to get around it but we could.." she trailed with a heavy sigh at the weighted memory.

Siri found herself leaning in closer, as if the tale was being whispered to her. She could almost see the fire in her mind's eye, she could almost see Asha running for her life, alongside a knight, strong and proud. Her heartbeat sped up as Asha told of the tree falling, crashing to the earth and she jumped a little inside her own skin, imagining the sound. "Oooh..." She took in a sharp intake of breath, eyes wide. "So you were separated from your lover...and now you need to find him again? Sounds like the perfect adventure!" If you listened closely, Sirius's small voice grew a little dreamy at the thought of the love Asha and Raco shared together, the bond they shared. That connection... "Will you ever see him again?" she wondered aloud.

Nodding she gave a slightly pained smile at Sirius, oh how she missed Raco. "Yes, I'm sure he's searching for me as well. He would never just give up on looking for me. He came a long way to court me and I can't see him throwing that all away just because we got separated in a fire. We've never even had a litter together yet." she sighed. They had at first agreed to put it off for a while, but in time they had starting thinking about a litter and even with multiple attempts had been completely unsuccessful, hurting them both, but they had never exactly stopped trying.
"It is quite an adventure to tell the truth, but it's had its ups and downs." she admitted to Sirius and looked up at her with a soft smile. She was glad that Sirius had relaxed around her, it was so nice to have another to talk to. The questions didn't bother her in the slightest. "I don't know really. I'm sure I will, in fact I truly believe with all my heart we'll find each other again, but how long that will take is what escapes me. But eventually we'll find one another again."
