Create your first tank and make a profit out of it.
Making money out of your aquarium isn't a walk in the park. This guide would help newbies to create their first tank and promote its glows so that other users may grab it.
Step 1: Go to your account preferences and make sure that you have checked "show my aquarium" under Images -> My Signatures. You may also turn off other things you might see in other users signatures such as "show car" to reduce lag but it is purely optional.
Step 2: Select which kind of fish you'll be placing in your aquarium. Here are two good guides to help you decide on what kind of fish you would be putting in your tank. Dannys Mule has a comprehensive guide of gold drop rates for all fish species, normal, high-trigger and monsters alike. The Infamous Manny Kun on the other hand provides information on the profit you might be able to make off certain fish and other useful information for booty grab.
Step 3: Go to your aquarium and click on the exclamation mark (!) beside Barrett. By clicking on the exclamation mark, a tutorial on how to add fish to your tank and how to feed them will begin.
Step 4: Create a recycled glow thread. It doesn't necessarily have to be an old thread you made but a new thread made specifically for the purpose of letting others to grab your glow. To prevent spammers from ruining your glow thread, I would suggest that you make it in the test forums and have one of the moderators move it for you when you are done. It is an advantage for you to have a low lag recycled thread (example DO NOT BUMP UNLESS THE TANK IS GLOWING) by ensuring that there your post is the only one visible in the first page of your thread. Some people opt to use the same glow thread for their mules but I would not recommend this. Having more than one tank in a recycled glow thread would make it harder for you to fill up a game when your tanks glow right after each other. This is due to the fact that they might have just grabbed from one of your tanks and not click on your thread to check on your other tanks. Finally, make sure that your glow thread's title has the word "glowing" or "recycled" for booty grabbers to easily spot your glow.
Step 5: Place a link to a direct reply box to your glow thread in your signature. Obviously you would want those who spot your glow to share the game with others and the best way to do that is by putting a direct reply link to your glow thread in your signature. To do this simply go to your glow thread, click on new reply and copy the url to your signature. Here's a little guide to help you out:
