Chrisma looked at the cigarette being offered to her. She looked back up into the glassy eyes of the taller boy that didn't really seem to care if she took it or not. It was just something to offer to a passing peer. Disgusted, Chrisma wrinkled her nose and said "Thanks, but no thanks, I'd rather keep my date tonight." and walked off, leaving the stoner boys to go "Ohh!!" jokingly at each other like the idiots they were. Chrisma shook her head and looked down at her feet as she walked, wondering why people would willingly stoop to those levels to look like brainless herd-animals.... and not to mention smell like them too. She smelled her shirt sleeve and smelled smoke within the weaves of thread, just sitting there like dead ghosts who fried their brains in life, and carried those labotomy-type personalities with them to Hades. Yes, Chrisma liked to think in wierd analogies, but she liked it. It kept herself entertained when nothing else would. She looked up and readjusted her guitar on her back, and walked faster. Thinking back to what she'd said to those boys about that "date" she'd rather keep than scare away like a mouse being fumigated out from under a house's floorboards because of cigarette stench... she didn't really have one. In fact, she didn't really have any plans whatsoever for this Friday night. She thought about the cute girl who sat and daydreamed by the window in 4th period... Kairi Santinando. How her maroon colored hair glinted with orange highlights in the sunlight on nice days, how her lovely chocolate-mocha skin would absorb the sunlight and glow with a warmth of its own, and her grey eyes that would go from staring languidly at the green track field or blue sky to suddenly lighting up and darting around, following the movements of a random bluebird. Chrisma laughed quietly at herself. Yep, she had a purtty big crush on Kairi S. Now, if only she could find out if she was straight or not... Chrisma never really got the courage to ask. It would be kind of awkward anyway, to just come up and say "Hey, I'ma just be wonerin'... do you like girls or guys, 'cuz I'd really like to date you." Chrisma laughed again as she neared her friend Stephanie's apartment. On the inside, she had the soul of a poet, but on the outside, she wasn't the most grammaphical speaker when talking to her peers... or anyone else for that matter. She sighed as she went up to knock a little drum pattern on the door of 2B and rang the doorbell. She really wished she had a date tonight. She was ready to be romantically involved with someone. She heard a yell "I'll get it!!" and slender, athletic, long black haired Stephanie answered the door with a huff and a puff. She was still in her light blue soccar uniform, and she smiled cutely as she said "Hey girlfriend, what's up? You wanna go do somethin'?" Chrisma smiled and couldn't help but love her best friend's personality: always bright and sunny. And always understanding when Chrisma was ranting about her problems. Not that she had many, she was just dramatic at times. "Yes!! thank you, I was really hopin' you weren't busy or nothin' so let's go see a movie or somethin'!" She replied in relief. But to her surprise, Stephanie just winked and held a finger over her lips, anime style. Which she could always pull off really well, by the way. "Or," she said mischeiviously, "we could go to the Ghetto Park and go meet some people!" "What?" Chrisma asked in shock. Stephanie wasn't really the type to try to set Chrisma up with someone, and the Ghetto Park wasn't really the safest place in the world, for straight-edge teens that is. Obviously. It wasn't called the Ghetto Park because there were singing wild flowers and little prancing gay leprechans being sighted all the time. Stephanie saw the hesitation in Chrisma's face, so she said quickly "I promise we can go and see a movie if it starts to get wierd." "Well, alright." Chrisma gave in. "Come on in, Chrissy, while I go and get changed out of this uniform." Stephanie was the only one allowed to call her Chrissy. She walked in and smelled baking cookies: Mrs. Bellefri must be baking again. Chrisma licked her lips and walked into the kitchen, and was blasted with a wave of heat from the oven and the overpowering smell of chocolate chip cookies. The Goddess of Mouthgasms herself was pulling out a fresh batch just now. She turned and saw Chrisma, practically drooling waterfalls on the floor in the doorway, and smiled her unique smile that always made Chrisma feel like the spoiled grandchild, even though she wasn't even related to this woman. "Hello, dear," she said kindly. "Come have some cookies before you do a model of the Indian Ocean in my kitchen." "Yes Ma'am!" Chrisma said like a soldier ready to carry out orders. She was only a few feet away from the fatty goodness when Stephanie came out of nowhere and grabbed Chrisma's hand, pulling her against her will out the door and shouting "'Bye, Ma! I'll call you if I need a ride!" and they were on their way to Ghetto Park.

Meanwhile, at the Ghetto Park, Aria pulled a cigarette away from her lips after taking a drag. For the next minute, she let the smoke roll from her mouth as if she were a dragon about to breath fire. She, in all honesty, hated smoking; she just did it to keep everyone else away as she kept up her bad girl image. Currently, she was wearing a shirt that opened below her sternum and parted to either side, showing off her stomach and fairly well-defined abs. A tattoo decorated her exposed stomach as well as her arm. Her fairly long legs were encased in a pair of cropped jeans and a pair of black steel-toe boots were on her feet. A pair of belts around her waist completed her wardrobe.

Chrisma pulled out a piece of fruity chewing gum and started to nervously chew on it. She offered a piece to Stepanie, who declined the offer. "Don't worry, Chrissy," she said reassuringly. "It's just going to be Darrien and some of his friends, and maybe some of their friends." that didn't help Chrisma's mood at all. Darrien was Stephanie's boyfriend, and while Chrisma didn't have a problem with Darrien himself, he was actually rather sweet, it was just that he and Stephanie were two of a kind when it came to attracting emo's and juggalo's with their sweet personalitites. "Just how many people are there going to be?!" She wasn't incredibly anti-social or lots-of-people-ophobic, she just prefered not be be in those kinds of situations. Besides, as much of a goody-two-shoes girl Stephanie was, she sure did attract some very un-goody-two-shoes people. Speaking of Stephanie, she had changed into a soft white long sleeve V-neck sweater and a navy blue mini pleated skirt. Her accesories consisted of her long thick hair in two pigtails secured with sky-blue ribbons, a navy blue shawl she had wrapped around her neck in a stylish way, knee-length light blue and white diamond patterned socks, and nice broken in black pleather clogs with a little silver buckle on the outside of each. Chrisma smirked and thought "Yeah, it's no wonder she attracts all the creeps. She so frickin' adorable it's almost impossible for the dark side of people not to be attracted to her light and innocence." Stephanie suddenly turned to her and said "What was that, hon?" and made Chrisma feel awkward. Her best friend had always seemed to have a sixth sense when people were thinking about her. And since Chrisma couldn't help but admire her best friend sometimes (she did like girls after all) it always made her feel "caught" when Stephanie said that. "Nothing, dear." Chrisma replied. Stephanie smiled and replied "Look, it wouldn't kill you to meet some of your peers-" "Who are potheads and whom you shouldn't be hanging out with anyway." Chrisma interrupted. Stephanie glared at her in that adorable way and continued " They're not all potheads-" "Then they're ravers." Chrisma broke in again. "Will ye please kip yer smart-arse comments te yerself and jest lis'n te me?!" Stephanie said rather loudly in that Scottish accent that sometimes slipped out when she was mad or talking alot. She wasn't by any means a native of Scotland, it was just this wierd thing that happened. Just one of her cute quirks that prolly got the attention of the boys that got in line to date her like a crowd of under-agers hoping to sneak into an adult nightclub with fake ID's. Chrisma laughed at her like she always did and said "Ok, shoot." "Thank you!" Stephanie said indignantly. She continued "As I was saying," She glared at Chrisma, who innocently smiled back like the smart-arse she was. "It wouldn't be so bad to get to know some people. You might even like them. And you know what? If you don't like what they do, at least see how they treat you as a person, and judge them based on that, eh?" Chrisma sighed and rolled her eyes up at the sky, as if sarcastically asking someone up their to help her friend see sense. She looked back down and said "Ok, sure, fine, I'll give them a go. But you could have at least let me have some of your mum's cookies before we left as consolation." Stephanie sighed, and closed her eyes as she touched her forehead with her right index and middle fingers, as if also asking someone to tell her best friend to just shut up and go along with it for once. Chrisma put one arm around Stephanie's shoulders and said "I know you love me." Stephanie sighed and put her arm around Chrisma's waist and replied "You know I do. I think I'll have some gum now." She added, and Chrisma fished around in her pocket until she got a piece and gave it to Stephanie. Stephanie grabbed it with her teeth and started to chew and pop those little bubbles that packed alot of snap! in them. Chrisma really wished she knew how to do those. No reason really, she just wanted to. She saw that she and Stephanie were nearing the park now, and the little trail that went up to a "secret" place where teenagers went to smoke and hang out. Chrisma really hoped there wouldn't be too much smoke. She and Stephanie let go of each other, and Stephanie jogged up ahead excitedly to where she could see Darrien in front of the trail's beginning. They kissed and said cutesy little things to each other, then stopped when Chrisma neared them, rolling her eyes and scoffing sarcastically. She didn't have a problem with them being mushy - it was actually quite adorable to her, but she wouldn't let on on the outside - being disgusted was what was expected of a friend, after all. "Kay, let's go!" Stephanie said after Chrisma and Darrien noddedly in a friendly way to each other. Chrisma sucked in a breath, let them get ahead a few steps, let her breath out, shook her head, then started up the trail. "Here we go!"

As Aria sat there, she couldn't help but notice some people (three, to be precise) heading down the trail that leads to the park. Raising an eye at this, she followed them with her eyes. She saw a brunette girl in an outfit worthy of your typical high school girl, a boy, who was linked arm-to-arm with the first one, and... Aria nearly dropped her cigarette at the sight of the third person; a girl. She was pretty cute with her dyed pick hair, punk-ish, rock band style clothing, painted lips... She started back at her thoughts. Since when was she interested in girls like that? Shaking her head slightly, she took another drag from her cigarette as she watched her walk away, eyes unconsciously straying towards her a**.

Chrisma, Stephanie, and Darrien walked into this little cove surrounded by trees that had a little gazebo at one end, and benches scattered around the edges. There was a group of smoking teens all dressed in dark colors who waved at us and whooped rather loudly as a greeting call. "Jeez, we're not animals," Chrisma thought as her best friend and boy friend walked faster to meet them. She looked at the group of teenagers and corrected herself "Well, some of us aren't." She sighed and hoped to the high sky that this would go well. She walked over to the group to be introduced when Stephanie turned to her and waved, her other arm around Darrien's waist. Stephanie turned back to the group and announced "Hey guys, this is my best friend Chrisma! She's kinda shy, so be nice to her." Chrisma didn't appreciate the last part, so she said sarcasticalley "Yup, I put the 'shy' in 'SHut-your-mouth-horn-dog-or-Ima-put-a-new-hole-in-your-crotch-and-don't-ask-whY.'" as she spied one of the boys looking her up and down with ravenous eyes and slightly open hungry mouth, as if he were wondering if he could get her stoned enough to get in her pants. Everyone else noticed this, turned to him and started laughing and pointing. Chrisma strutted over to him and got real close to his face and said, loud enough for everyone to hear, "And by the way, I'm hardcore gay, so don't even think of going there." The boys and girls laughed even more raucously, and the boy looked so embarressed that he prolly wished he could sink into the ground right now and never come back. Someone said very loudly "Dude, I love this girl, she's a riot!" Which made Chrisma feel proud in a way. "I'm just here to entertain." She replied, and turned to face the speaker, who was a 6'2'' giant with dark brown skin and wiry muscles. He was dressed in the opoular guy fashion, just a loose grey guy-tank and large black basketball "shorts." He walked over and shook her hand, still chuckling, and said "I'm Nathan, and welcome to this Group of Idiots." The way Nathan said "Group" and "Idiots" made the words sound capitalized in Chrisma's mind. She shrugged. It fit. "Chrisma. Not too pleased to be here." She gripped his hand firmly back, and smiled up at his tall frame. They let go, and the kids started doin' their own thing, dispersing into little smoking and chatting groups. One girl with electric-blue hair and dark blue tips came up to her. "Hey," she said. Chrisma nodded back and said "Hey," as well. "You're pretty slick. That's cool. That dog is pretty horny, and it's a good thing that someone, 'specially a new person, put 'im in his place." This girl said. "Glad to be of service." Chrisma replied. The girl pulled out a pack of ciggs and offered one to Chrisma. "Call me Calypso. You smoke?" She asked. Chrisma stuck her tongue out and replied. "Nope. Rather keep mah breathin' pipes workin', see?" "Cool, that's cool." Calypso said as she lit her ciggy and took a long, relieved drag. She exhaled enough smoke for a whole hookah, and Chrisma held her breath until it was gone. "Mind if I play?" she asked, and sat down on a wooden bench, setting her guitar case on the ground. As she pulled it out and settled it, Calypso said "Nice. I was about to ask you if you did." Chrisma plucked some random strings, then started playing Siuil A Roon (Siuil A Ruin Acoustic Guitar), a celtic song that sounded really nice on the acoustic guitar. Chrisma started swaying to the song and closed her eyes. She could feel Calypso sit down close beside her, and could smell her cigarette smoke on her breath. "That's beautiful..." she said softly. Then she asked "Are you really gay? I would at least take you for bi, but you just don't look it." Chrisma opened her eyes, but didn't look at Calypso. "Yep, totally gay, and as for looking it, I am who I am, and that's all I want to be. Just because I am a lesbian doesn't mean I have to look like a stereotypical one." She kept swaying gently as Calypso said "Oh, no, that's cool, I was just wondering... I'm bi, and since we kind of have the same style, well, not totally, but sort of, I thought you would be bi too. But whatever, you know? It's cool you're lesbian." She laughed awkwardly. "I don't even know what I'm saying!" then she just settled back on the bench, kind of close to Chrisma, and listened to her play. Chrisma could feel that she had some kind of intention, but couldn't quite put her finger on it. I had something to do with being bi, though. Then she figured it out, because Calypso suddenly put her hand on Chrisma's neck and pulled in close. She tried to press her lips to Chrisma's and wrap her tongue around the other's as well, but it startled Chrisma so much that her eyes got real big and her hands flew off the guitar and into the air, pushing Calypso off of her. She yelled as she turned to Calypso, who just just as startled to be rejected for what it seemed like was probably the first time; she wasn't a bad looking girl, and in fact had quite a nice set of abs that Chrisma could seen now that her shirt was slightly askew and riding up her belly. "What the hell was that just now?! Jesus Christ, you're as bad as that idiot horn dog! I'll tell you who needs to be put in their place, and it is you!! Just because I'm a lesbian sure as hell does not mean I'll just get with any hot bi or gay girl I come across, and besides, your smoke breath disgusts me... ugh!" She packed up her guitar and made off down the trail, leaving the scared and confused looking Calypso leaning backwards on the bench from getting pushed, and not caring if the others heard that or cared or whatever. She was done with the potheads and horn dogs, she wanted out of there.

When Chrisma started back up the path, Aria, deciding that she had nothing better to do, put out her cigarette, sprayed a little mouth freshener into her mouth to get rid of the nasty smoke taste, got up off the picnic bench she was sitting on, and followed the girl. Shoving her hands in her pocket, she easily caught up with Chrisma. "Don't mind her. She does that to every attractive girl she meets. Did it to me first time I met her." That was indeed the truth; when Calypso saw her, she tried to talk to her. When that didn't really work, she tried to kiss her. It didn't turn out well for the other girl; she got socked and would've got mauled if her friends didn't pull her back. She never spoke to her again. "The only thing that keeps her doing it is the fact that a good seven-eighths the girls she kisses are stoned so hard, they're rocks themselves."

Chrisma was a little startled to have a total stranger come up to her and say that, so she stopped walking. She turned to the girl who appeared to be around her own age and laughed, replying "Uh, well, thanks for the info. Kinda wish I knew that sooner, though, y'know?" Chrisma's gaydar was goin' off like crazy, so she couldn't stop herself from checkin' out this new girl. Mm mm, she got it goin', alright. Chrisma tried to be discreet about it, but realized that the best way to do that was to not do it at all, so she looked back up at this stranger's face. She did a lopsided smile and stuck out her hand. "I'm Chrisma, by the way. You wanna hang out? I got nothin' better to do, so why not?" Then she got this panicked look on her face, and fished out a pocket mirror, checking her lipstick to make sure Calypso didn't mess it up. It wasn't, so Chrisma sighed in relief and took out her lipstick to dab on a bit more anyway. She put the mirror and lipstick away and looked a bit embarressed. She looked away and scratched her neck, a nervous habit, and said "Gaah, sorry about that, I just really do not like it when peeps be messin' up my make up." She shook the embarressment away and looked back at the girl again. Day-um, she was really cute. Chrisma did her best to keep herself from blushing. "I'm sorry, what's your name?"

When Chrisma looked her over, Aria couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at her. Then, came the question of wanting to hang out. "Umm... Sure. I got nothing better to do." Holding out her hand, she replied with a neutral expression. "Names Aria. It's nice to meet you... Chrisma... I think..."

Chrisma looked pretty happy when she said "Hellz, yeah!" and did a little spaz dance. She smiled back up at Aria and said "Well, do you mind if I play my guitar while we're at it? I can multi-task pretty well, so don't worry about me not paying attention. Let's go over there!" She pointed to a bench near the shade of the trees and started for it. She sat down, pulled out her guitar, and started playing Moonlight Sonata ( Moonlight Sonata Classical Guitar), and swayed gently. "So, Aria. Tell me, how do you know those doofuses up there?"

When the girl started dancing, Aria couldn't help but sweat-drop at her antics before following her to the bench. Before sitting down as well, she stared wide-eyed at Chrisma when she started playing Moonlight Sonata. She's never heard it being played on the guitar before. And the way she played it made it sound like it was always meant to be on the six-stringed instrument instead of a piano. When she asked her how she knew them, she sighed. "I come here often. Because I have nothing better to do. Because my parents don't notice me when I'm gone. Because I have no friends to hang out with... You get the picture."

Chrisma continued playing as she listened to Aria and her fingers seemed to be on auto pilot as she replied. "Mm, that seems like a plausible reason to be around idiots like that. And I totally understand about the parents bit." She laughed and added "But then again, doesn't everyone." She said it as more of a statement than a question. "The only person I know who has a decent relationship with their parents is Stephanie, and she doesn't even spend all that much time with them. Well, could be 'cause she's a teenager and it's her time to wean off of their support, but I sometimes think she doesn't appreciate their love all that much... she just takes it for granted." She paused and looked at her fingers dancing on the strings like little fairies frolicking on the tips of flower petals. She laughed half-heartedly and added "Honestly though, I don't know how she doesn't just love and adore her mum to death - the woman is the freakin' filling of a jelly role, and not to mention the Goddess of Mouthgasms. Seriously, her cookies and pasties are duh bomb!"

Aria simply let the girl rant as she sat down next to her, tracing the patterns of the wood she's sitting on. She didn't talk all that much, so when someone was talking to her, she let them talk while she pretended to pay attention when she really wasn't. Moreover, she didn't hang out with people all that often. At the final bit, she couldn't help but snort a little with laughter. "Mouthgasms, huh? Thanks for the freakin' awesome mental image."

Chrisma laughed and said "You're very welcome miss!" Then she shook her head and said in an embarressed way "Ah, by the way, sorry for ranting about my friend... you prolly don't even care, it's just, she's my best friend, so when I get frustrated with her, who can I rant to? Some random stranger seems like the best option to me, because I can get something off my chest, you can walk away and forget absolutely everything I said, and we prolly won't ever have to see each other again, anyway. God I'm such a blabber mouth! Why can't I stop talking?" She said frustratedly, and Moonlight Sonata came to a stop as Chrisma covered her face with her hands for a brief moment before letting them fall on her knees and sitting back in a huff. She looked up at the sky and mumbled "I wish it would rain..."

At her apology for her rambling, Aria couldn't help but chuckle with a small smirk. "That's okay. You're kinda cute when you ramble." At what she just said, she couldn't help but let her eyes widen. What was she saying? She was basically calling a strange girl cute. She wasn't even gay! ... At least, she thought so. At Chrisma's comment for rain, she, too, looked up at the clear blue sky. "Any reason why? Maybe so you don't have to be here?"

Chrisma blushed lightly and tried to cover it with her hands. "You think so?" She said, not even aware of the battle of uncertainty waging inside Aria. From what she could tell, she was definitely gay (and a cute one at that!), so a compliment from her sent her poor lil lesbian heart all aflutter. As she cursed her Irish genes and hereditary blushing, she looked at Aria and replied "I don't really mind being here, now that I've got someone to talk to and call me cute," She chuckled and gave a lop-sided smile while peeking out at Aria from under her mascara-laden lashes. "But I just get these feelings sometimes that things like the weather should be different." She looked down at her knees. "I-I don't know, it just seems like it should rain right now to me. It would be nice." After a moment, she looked at her guitar and asked "Should I play something else, or should I put it away?"
