The show comes back from a sponcership commercial to find Mike Landry in the ring, of course with a microphone.
"I know i'm scheduled to have a match later tonight, but that's the last thing on my mind right now. Tonight, i've found myself transfixed on one thing, and one thing only. You see, i've been searching for a way to...spice up the women's division. Something that could potentially put the women's division in a main event type of role some time in the future. You might ask me why I would take on such a strenuous and taxing role, and I don't blame you because I myself have doubted my amazing abilities. However my answer is clear as day: When every segment has the capability of being a feature in the company, the product is better. The product, the show, the wrestlers, the divas, the paydays, everything gets better."
Landry's little show was fairly convincing but the audience was still not buying it because of his previous track record. There had to be some sort of catch.
"However, in my search for a way to improve the divas division I found myself searching for a protoge...a mentee...someone in the divas division I could pass my knowledge on to and make almost as great as I am! But what I found was an...infatuation. I have to admit, my wandering eye has become transfixed on one woman, one diva, one masterpiece. That woman...is Phoenixfire!"
Landry smiled as the audience finally cheered, their fanship for Phoenixfire seemed to have overruled their hatred for him.
"And so, I come out here, on my knees," he fell to his knees, " begging for Phoenixfire to accept my tutolage, and if she feels even a tad bit of the same feelings, a date?"
The audience clearly didn't like it, and boo'ed in response, imploring Phoenixfire not to come out and dignify Landry with a response, causing Landry to rudely trying to hush the crowd.
"Don't listen to these uneducated Marks and Sheep! They have no clue of your potential Phoenixfire, I see it! I see everything you can do and I want to make you a star!"

The camera shot to Phoenixfire prepping her hair and makeup in the locker room while watching the television, perfectly capturing the stunned look on her face as she caught the last tidbit of Landry’s monologue. Some of the producers had tipped her off to the fact she might be needed at some time during the evening lineup but declined to say what it was for. Phoenixfire shook her head to make sure she was seeing and hearing things the way they were, and she was. She set down what she had been using and slipped her feet into her shoes before grabbing a microphone from one of the crew and setting off down the hall. Something unnerved Phoenixfire about this but she did her best to clear that from her mind as she parted the curtains and descended the ramp en route to the ring.
“I’ve been saying the Women’s Division has needed some extra work done to it for the longest time in most divisions I’ve been in. At least someone finally agrees so the management can stop thinking I’m talking out the side of my face. I’ll thank you for that much, but…”
Phoenixfire sighed and rubbed her forehead as she tried to wrap her brain around what was happening. This was all very sudden and very surprising, especially since it was coming from someone she had had so little interaction with.
“I don’t get why you chose me to help revive the Women's Division and make it into something that could be the pride of the company. Yeah, I know you said you’re infatuated with me, which I’ll admit is a bit weird…”
Phoenixfire rolled her eyes and made a face while doing so which made the crowd break out in laughter.
“But why now? I’ve been in this game for the longest time, haven’t I worked hard enough to make myself a star? Anyways…if the crowd wants it, I’ll give you a chance. What do you say guys?”
Phoenixfire finished her sentence and looked to the crowd, interpreting their reactions for approval or disapproval. She got a varied mix of cheers and boos in return, which gave her exactly the answer she needed.
“If the crowd’s okay with it, I’m okay with it. Unless anyone in the back has any objections…”

"Phoenix if you still have doubts then allow me to clear them up! You want to know why I singled you out from all the dozens of other divas in the sport today? Because you are, by your very nature, different. You don't allow yourself to be held back by human limitations, you're name is Phoenixfire, not 'Beth' or 'Gail' or 'Trish' or 'Mickie', it sets you above the norm and gives you the ability to be great! With my help you can be so much more than anyone else in this division, do the undoable, be the first to do everything, and be the best at it too. I want to help you, and if you look at my resume everyone I associate myself with is a star. Just look at Matt Stone and Kelly King 2.0, two of the biggest stars in the business and they are my associates, because we are The Best. Be The Best. Phoenixfire."

((I'm not late. I've just really really REALLY been working on this. Yeah, let's go with that. So, yeah... Gimmie a few minutes here...))
Just as Landry was finishing his sentence, 'Almost Easy' by Avenged Sevenfold hit the arena, a sound all too familiar to some fans. Matt Shanahan bursted through the curtain, carrying his baseball bat and a mic. With his ever-so-confident smirk on his face, he looked down at the ring to his old enemy, Mike Landry. He walked down the ramp and climbed into the ring, not wanting to waste time to admire whatever fans he had. As the music faded away, Shanahan stood infront of Landry, his main focus for the moment. He stood there for a few moments, before speaking.
"Long time, no see, Landry. What are you up to now? Have you finally hit the bottom so hard that you had to drag someone into your career, just to try to work your way back up? Is that why you're out here, trying to convince Phoenix to 'accept your tutolage', as you said?"
Matt paused, glaring at Landry through his shades.
"I'll go ahead and let you answer before I go on. Go ahead, continue. I need a good laugh."

((I'm not going to mention how Shanahans presence and post was more entertaining than "HHH"'s or that his post was completely out of the realm of what HHH would say. Because I'm just that kind of guy.))
Landry stared long and hard at Shanahan. After not seeing him for so very long he was absolutely the last person he expected to see tonight. And it wasn't a pleasant surprise. After a long pause Landry finally brought his mic back to his face to respond.
"Let me explain to you all the things wrong with that sentance right there. One, I'm at the peak of my career, and I'm a flat topped mountai baby, so I plan on staying here for a long long time. Longer than HHH even! I've won more world title than you can count, retired more people than you've beaten, tapped out more people you've pinned, and have become the model for what a wrestler should be in this day and age. What have you done since WWE:U when I send you packing? Why should I even aknowledge your existance? Why don't you just leave us alone so that I can be the savior of this business, and you can go back to being a Punk."

"SAVIOR OF THIS BUSINESS! That's a new one!"
The God of Punks let out a laugh, then shook his head, a sneer on his face.
"Savior? You're talking to a God about being a Savior? You couldn't save your own damn career, if I decided to take it from you. Lucky for you, I'm a generous God... And just for the record, if I wanted to make you tap out in a puddle of your own blood, I could do it faster than you could even say the word 'savior'. But let's leave past matters... In the past, shall we?... Now, what I really want to know is... What I REALLY want to know is..."
Matt paused, taking off his shades to look Landry in the eye.
"Why would you want to drag down someone as good as Phoenix down, with you?"

Landry couldn't help but snicker at Shanahan's persistance, then looked past him to spot Phoenixfire on the stage and smile at her.
"You just don't get it do you? You're arrogance is so overwhelming that your brain just does mental gymnastics to justify your place in the world. You have never beaten me, and you never will. That is just the short and sweet of it."
Once again Landry paused to look at Phoenixfire, and this time kept his gaze on her and did not even glance at Shanahan when he spoke again.
"As for her, it's like I said. She captivates me, and I want to share my wealth of knowledge with her as well as my success. She deserves happiness, and i'm the man who'se going to give it to her."
Finally Landry returned his focus to Shanahan with an angered glare, "and nothing is going to stop me. That includes you and your little 'jealously' problem. That's right, this isn't the first time you've had a problem with me wanting to be with a diva is it? What are you going to do Matt? Are you doing to try and frame me? Are you going to run me down in a parking lot? You can do that, or you can leave it alone and choose not to be in the way. You have a unique opportunity Shanahan, you can undo your sins of the past. You can be redeemed of the shame your brought upon yourself. What do you say?"

Matt looked down at the ground, acting ashamed.
"Oh, Landry, you're right... I'm a horrible person... All I ever do is look out for my own benefit... All the things I've done in my past... I'm so sorry... But, Mike, I have ask you something... Would you please..."
Matt paused, then looked up at Landry.
"... Shut the ******** up?"
Matt stared at Landry, before laughing again.
"Oh Landry... I'll be damned if I let you run down another woman's career."
He paused, looking up at Phoenix, then back at Landry.
"There will be no trickery, no assaults... I assure you... All there will be is me picking you up... Spinning you around... And breaking your back across my knee. Over, and over, and over again. Until you admit that you are nothing but a worthless piece of s**t. But, where are my manners? Why don't we let the lady have a say in this, eh?"

"My thoughts exactly, this isn't for you to decide. It's her choice that matters."
Landry backed off to the other side of the ring from Shanahan, holding out a hand of good faith to her.
"It's all up to you. Will you listen to him," he said with a look of disgust as he eyed Shanahan, "or me?" he said with rejuvinated good faith and apparent honesty.

Phoenix was quite unsure about which route she should take after listening to both of the men bicker back and forth. True, both had done some questionable things in the past and Shanahan had some spectacular points in regards to that. But Landry's offer seemed so much more...alluring. Phoenixfire released a deep sigh before beginning to pace back and forth in the ring and running her fingers through her hair once or twice, doing her best to at least think the offer over before rushing into any thing rash.
"I don't know, guys. You both argued your points spectacularly..."
Phoenix let out another sigh before lowering her microphone and looking back out at her crowd, gauging the responses of each person she made eye contact with. Was she doing the right thing? How would she even know?
"I'm not sure about this at all. What I'll agree to is doing this on a trial basis because I don't want to get in over my head.
