(Sorry my title making isn't here today.)

Azzo was sitting at one of the tables closest to the back. He was sitting there staring at some sort of magazine with a few school books scattered around. It was one of the nicer spring days without much rain or anything.

He sighed as one of the waitresses asked if he wanted anything. He looked up at her, "Someone to do my Science homework?" He asked before shaking his head at the weird look she gave him, "No? Well then just a cup of lemon aid if you have it."

He was sitting there staring off into the distance watching people walk by. Curiously observing the occasional face to see if he knew any of them. Pausing to linger perhaps just a little too long on a blond who was probably soon going to pass him. He was trying to actually think about what this assignment meant, he wasn't aiming for creepy. It was shameful the park was considered off limits for a while until the police cleared everything up.

Rhiana sighed as she walked through the little cafe. No Cassius. She had wanted to show off her new pink baby doll dress so badly. Well, it wasn't as if it had gone to complete waste. She could feel various eyes upon her but it wasn't as comforting as it would have been if they were his eyes. Maybe one of them would muster up enough courage to offer to buy her something to drink or eat. She really didn't like spending her own cash. Daddy only gave her three hundred dollars a week and she spent a third of that on her new attire. So worth it though, she thought as she twirled a finger in her long pink hair.

The place wasn't crowded but it was far from empty. Did someone just ask the waitress to do homework? That caught her attention and she found her gaze moving to a table behind her. He was joking, no doubt. It was hard to tell with boys. They had the maturity and mentality of a hog. Hell, they had the stomachs of one too.

She had found her mark at least and she stared curiously at him for a moment. Would she be bale to get this guy to buy her something to eat and drink? It was always a gamble with the nerd types and with all the books surrounding him, surely he fell into that stereotype? Sometimes they were so involved in their work that they had no time for girls, even the hot ones like herself. Others had been exceptionally shy, too afraid to even offer. How many had stuttered at her and stared with that vacant expression. Oh, how she wanted to jam a straw into those eyes. Nothing irritated her more than an idiot look or an empty wallet. Or bad fashion. Or bad hair. Ok, pretty much everything irritated her but that was beside the point. She was hungry and she did not want to spend her allowance on food. Three hundred dollars a week only went so far when you had to look as good as she did.

She walked over to his table and bent over slightly, just enough to give him a good glance at her bosom. "I left my change purse at home. Buy a hungry girl something to eat?" She almost batted her eyes for good measure but didn't want to come off too strongly. Besides, it wouldn't be a totally horrible experience. The boy was kinda cute. He had a wildness to his hair that she thought fitting on a boy.

He wasn't a nerd, he was far from being one, the sheer amount of info he was looking at didn't even make sense to him. He paused and looked towards the girl whom might or might not be considering if batting her eyes would help. It was the blond he'd watched just a few seconds too long, at least she wasn't smacking him with anything for staring.

He smiled and quickly cleared her a place trying to not mind the bosom. He was suppose to be polite and, not someone his Grams would smack up side the head for being a 'womanizer'. "Sure have a seat. I was just trying to figure out this science project, sorry for the mess." He added, he never minded buying a pretty lady something to eat. Someone else might have, but he had no problems with it.

After properly clearing the table of all science books and the magazines, one of which that looked like a catalog on stuffed animals? He dusted off whatever bit of unclean 'stuff' he saw left.

The waitress came back when she saw him give a small wave to indicate he changed his mind. Ready to take the girls order and offer the boy something else. "What would you like?" He asked her with a smile.

She wrinkled her nose a bit at the subject. Science was not her forte. She felt almost guilty that she would not be able to help him out.

"A bacon cheeseburger, lettuce and bbq sauce only, please, and a coke," she stated, smiling politely at the waitress. Rhiana was the kind of girl that could eat whatever she wanted and not gain a single pound. Of course, that didn't come without effort. She skated pretty much wherever she went. In fact, most of her shoes were custom made to have the little wheels inside them that she could tuck inside or remove when she was in school. Between that and wrestling and playing sports with her brothers, she had more than enough exercise every day. She smiled at the thought. Not many would peg her as the sporty type, not with how she looked and dressed when she was visiting town. She liked that. She felt like she lived almost two different lives.

"I never did too well in science," she replied apologetically. "What kind of project do you have? Is it difficult?" At least he put forth an effort into his work. That was more than she could say about most boys. He had a pleasing smile as well. Perhaps this day would not be a total loss.

She was pretty sure he did not go to her school. She would have recognized the hair if he had. It was definitely a unique style. "I like your hair," she noted rather matter-of-factly, "did you design it?"

Azzo listened to her order, "Regular burger for me, whatever you put on it, hold the onions." He said the lemon aid stayed as is though. It was a nice day for one.

He almost chuckled, "I don't do that well in it either. I need it to graduate, or at least, in hopes they don't hold me back my senior year of high school." He gave a slight wrinkle of his nose. He was 18 hopefully they'd let him go to SH. "Trying to do at least enough to get into Sovereign Heights. Kind of hard when you suck at Science." He paused, "Oh well basically it's suppose to be something like the effects of not having a rain-forest would have on the earth." He said.

He shrugged, "It's about as hard as everything else, I just, never really did good in Science to start with. Had a small incident with... what was it... it wasn't really a Volcano, you know baking soda and vinegar. But it had the same effect, and wasn't suppose to. Needless to say I got removed from the class because they said it was a dangerous and careless mistake. So they moved me to an 'easier' class," He shook his head, "No one got hurt, so I mean, anyone can accidentally mix things wrong can't they?"

He paused gaining the compliment on his hair he seemed to tilt his head in thought. "Well. I guess you could say that. Grams didn't want it cut, but I couldn't stand it falling in my eyes so we kind of compromised on this. She gets to call me pup now."

"Oh, really?," she stated and leaned closer, almost as if noticing him for the first time. "I go to SHP and I have to say, it's a great school. All you have to do is pass science. Even a low grade will not affect your GPA too much if you do well at the other subjects. It's not impossible. As long as you keep working at it, I'm sure you'll do fine."

Mix things wrong. Hmnnn. She didn't believe strongly in the concept of 'accidents' but she didn't know this guy enough yet to judge him. Besides, it wasn't like she was judge and jury of the community. She really didn't give a rat's a** about what people did as long as it didn't bother her. "Sucks," she finally stated, "At least they didn't expel you?"

She smiled politely as he spoke of this "Gram" person. "Really? My dad is always bitchin' at my brothers to get their hair cut. He can't stand if it gets too long. Of course, if I ever mention cutting mine, he bitches at me. My mom kept her hair long so I guess it reminds him of her. I like it long too though it can become a pain when I sleep if I don't keep it braided." Why the heck was she rambling so? The waitress needed to get back with her food so she could stuff her face and shut up.

Azzo nodded, "Ah, well I'm glad to hear that. I haven't actually met anyone from there but I'd heard it was a pretty awesome school." He said. Giving a nod with a smile, "At least that's good to know."

He avoided any mention of the fact he was missing for a year. No one really minded about that right? He nodded, "Yeah, at least they didn't do that. Though I tend to avoid any chem classes, to make sure such a catastrophe doesn't happen again."

He gave a soft shrug, "I think she wanted a grand daughter, but what can you do?" He was resting his arms on the table, while glancing around for a second.

"Ah, yeah, bed head sorta sucks with the length my hair is, I'd image it's worse for yours." He pausing tilting his head again, in that comical way of his that the dog eared hairstyle only added to. "Oh. I'm sorry?" He said not sure if that's the right word.

Though he didn't press it much further, eyes glancing back to where the waitresses picked up the food. "They're always quick with the food here." He said noticing what looked like their order might be up. Seeing the Lemon aid and the coke on the tray.

Rhiana rubbed her hands together as the waitress walked over with their food. She was a cute girl, in an old fashioned kind of way. With a little makeover, she could make the waitress look really pretty. Such thoughts soon passed from her head as the bacon cheeseburger arrived. It was huge! She took a well proportioned bite out of it and swallowed before she continued the conversation.

"Maybe she just appreciates good hair," Rhiana offered. "I have to keep my hair in a single ponytail or braid and wrapped around the top of my head to keep it from going wild. It takes me a half hour just to prepare my hair for bed and another half hour to fix it back the next morning. I don't mind though. It makes me stand out, I think." She shrugged and took another bite out of her cheeseburger. What was that saying? No pain, no gain? Nothing in life came easy.. except money but she had her daddy to thank for that.

"So what do you do when you aren't studying for school," she asked, in between another bite of her cheeseburger. She had to give this place credit, the food was delicious.

Azzo was eating his own meal. In less haste than the girl. He had no where in particular to be. When she was talking about her hair he nodded, "Mm, well it is very pretty." He said eyes glancing over it.

"Looks healthy too." He knew for a fact split ends were a pain in the butt. Only because his own hair got them. "I tend to kind of just slick back and comb down anything that protests."

He sat down his food, "mmm mostly searching for things to do right now. Though hoping to find a job at one of the local theaters, I'm not sure how many use puppets or marionettes still though." He knew his little home town enjoyed them but such things in a large town were perhaps always a little bit harder.
