Damon moved through the path that would take them straight to the den of the King and Queen. Of course, he would stay at the bottom of the hill and would not dare approach too closely unless he was called for. He was far from a stupid wolf and would never risk his neck for something so foolish.

He paused in his steps as they arrived upwind from the den, hoping that they would catch his scent as well as a females. His head tilted backwards, a loud howl ringing through the lands. It was asking for the leaders to come forth so that he might have the chance to speak with them.

Once the call ended, he turned to the blind female with him and gave a small smile. "It should not take them long to respond. I do not remember anyone saying that there was some sort of formal meeting, so they should be free at the moment."

Bringing a female in would probably please both of them, the potiental for new blood and the ability to meet someone with information was always of value.

She had very little experience with confrontation, even if a quick paced, witty comment or two struck a playful cord in the femme. That blue body of hers moved gracefully over rough patches of dirt and moss, vision returned to its glazed and shadowed norm as they neared the den site.

Caspera kept to his flank and sighed while Damon asked for the King and Queen. She was not so much doubtful of this mated pair and their strengths; since certainly wolves all had their own, unique prowess about them. What she chuckled and mulled over, which would probably upset the two more than belittling, was Damon's devotion.

The she-wolf knew of respect and she knew that in many situations, respect would save her life. Caspera would never risk her own neck in the name of pride! Yet his confidence in the two inspired her to test the waters. Nothing would lead the blind girl to stupidity, she was far too cunning for that, but some banter didn’t seem completely out of the question.

Stretching her neck forward to reach the males ear, she whispered. "Would 'hello strong King and fair Queen' be a suitable greeting Damon?"

It was hard not to be a little surprised when he asked her such a thing. But his head nodded quickly to show that it would indeed please the two. "Yes, showing respect is a very good way to get on their good side." For he did truly believe that there were no wolves stronger than the King, and telling him such a thing was merely just speaking the truth.

Respect was the most important thing one could show on a first meeting, though showing a lack of it would probably not get one killed right away. Their King did not seem the type to strike just out of pure rage and hatred. No, he was much more methodical than that.

Torture was always an option though, or the creation of slaves. Not something he wanted Caspera involved with. He would protect her. Even if she did not wish for him to do so.

"I hear them coming down now."

It was Chernabog who responded first to the call, he was always curious of Damon's doings, mostly because they were tied so closely to that of his queens. His nose twitched beneath the metal mask and his eyes narrowed curiously as he caught the scent of a strange female. How bold of Damon to bring her here, but that probably meant he wanted her to be accepted within their court. More and more pairs it seemed, he would have to be very careful to keep the couples mingling, and their pups from forming little alliances, petty familial squabbles could ruin what he had worked so hard to create. Hard, Strong, Cunning, Witty wolves that he had gathered into a powerful pack for all of Telk to fear and respect...and it could all be destroyed if the pups they raised were weak, coddled, stupid, and useless.

Yet, these were not the matters at hand, close though they were, he slipped down from the jagged obsidian hole that overlooked the small rocky clearing where most of the larger dens were situated.
"Greetings Damon, what brings you and your lovely companion to us?"
He glanced back certain Mog would make her grand appearance in a moment. He turned then his fiery eyes raking over Caspera in that same assessing way they moved over all females, before there was the slight air of dismissal. To Chernabog there were three kinds of females, the kind he used, the kind he respected, and the kind he ignored completely. Usually just looking at them wasn't enough to help him classify of course, no the measure of what a female could do often took as much time to determine as what most warriors were capable of.

Moghedien had been simply sat conversing with Chernabog when a howl came from outside and one she recognised more than another other in her life, if was Damon. Her eyes narrowed ever so slightly with curiosity; never had she known him to call on her, always having been the other way around she wondered now what it was he was calling her for and more to the point at the mouth of the den she shared with Chernabog, the alpha male. Interesting indeed. She watched as Chernabog rose and made his way out of the den, he himself seeming just as intrigued as to why another wolf within the pack would be calling him forth. Moghedien watched as his flame red tail slipped from sight and soon after she heard him greet Damon, the words unrecognisable from this distance. She herself rose from where she lay and made her way to the mouth of the den.

Chernabog had chosen his den so the mouth open out of a step incline and thus looking out and down at anyone who wished to come forth and speak with him, it spoke a great deal of how he considered himself and how he wished others to think of him. She herself now shared this height with him, looking down at her guardian below and at her mate who was greeting him. Ice blue eyes did not remain long upon Damon, simply enough to catch his eye and let him glimpse the edge of curiosity within them, for they soon flicked to his side and came to rest upon the blue scarred female. Very interesting indeed.

In her own time she took her eyes from the female and carefully, gracefully climbed down the rock face to the ground below and came to stand next to Chernabog, her head just short of his shoulder, she was tiny in comparison and terribly fragile looking physically but her eyes spoke of something else. She did not say anything to either of the wolves standing in front of her, she simply waited for a reply to the question that had already been presented to Damon.

Had he missed her feint chuckle? Damon seemed far too blind-sighted by the quickly approaching pair to read between the lines and see that, in fact, Caspera was teasing all the while.

And even if he had made note of it and was merely defining the lines that should be stayed within, the girl lost her interest in the topic and moved on to a metallic odor—driven out from a hole all the way up the side of a mountain. In many ways this advance reminded her of a rat peeking from its hole when a fresh meal was laid out. Curious noses twitched, eyes darted to her form (which consequently was the meat or cheese in the illusion) and most important and symbolic of all, she knew their hunger and intrigued minds would be wanting more of her and whatever history she had to offer. The imagery made her smile, soft yet vile lips rotating up at the ends to display each tooth in what looked (but was not exactly) to be welcome.

First the alpha arrived. It was surprising to see protruding horns and an elongated snout through her limited sight, not all that frightening but certainly something she wished he would take off. The smell of steel and wolf were ever-present and enticing however, like the musk of the forest with some uncanny spices thrown into the mix; blood, guts, and bone perhaps? If he were to take off the mask, she hoped she would get a chance to sniff it further.

Caspera could make out his motions with concentration, managing to catch his head turning away from her right after a ‘quick once over’. It was not so much alarming as it was flattering, even when he seemed to flit is gaze back to Damon or elsewhere. Then the female came down the face of their mountain and perched her pretty little frame beside her mates. Caspera was instantly drawn to her shadowy form, desperate to make out what perfection was in this wolf.

This was the Queen.

Spoken so highly about and praised with more glory and honor than could be imagined; and probably deserved. Caspera licked her lips, silvery eyes dazed as they made what they will of the girl and her position in the pack. There was no animosity in the blue female, none yet to surface. More so than anything else she felt curious—desiring to know whether the Queen had enough marks beneath her belt to claim Damon’s devotion.

He said she did, and for some time Caspera believed him. Initially she spoke to the male, a surprised lift in her tone catching even catching her off guard. “Oooh, you are a tall one aren’t you…sir” The empty form of respect was lost when the opposing she-wolf had arrived, at which time she then continued with a blank stare.

“Pardon my staring, Queenie dear; Damon has spoken on about you for hours. I am simply sizing up my competition.” Then she chuckled, it lasting a much shorter time then the other fits, but held most of the same mysterious tendencies.

“It may be rude to speak before a pack member, however I was just so excited about meeting the both of you.” Her grin remained, wide and always twitching as if it were to detach itself and float away.

Damon felt dread curl through his viens and he had to look away when he heard the way the female addressed the two Alphas. Stupid of him to think she would do otherwise, but he could only hope that such a thing did not put him in his Mistress' disfavor.

"I came upon her as I was examining the area just outside the territory." He stated at the King, acting as though the female had not put a paw out of place. "She was curious about the pack and wanted to meet the two of you." He would not add that he had not believed she would speak out of turn in such a thing. He did warn her about how much she needed to respect them.

Still, he did not show this slight irritation, and instead kept his head high enough to show that he was important within the pack, though nowhere near the two Alphas before him. "She seemed the right type to be given the pleasure of meeting the two of you." And his head bowed in a respectful manner at that.

Amusing, but he already had amusing slaves within the court, and her common addressing of his queen along with the laughable idea that she felt she was competition at all made his fangs raise. He did not find high value in Damon's opinion the way he did in Mog's, but it still carried some weight. The fact that Damon had thought something of her said something...though it might simply have told him Damon had acted with his lower brain instead of his upper.

"The right type? A new slave?" Chernabog stated, no trace of humor in his voice.

He had asked the same of Haemon when he had brought Raelin, but it had been a tease, a jest. He had seen a fire in Raelin's eyes a thirst to prove herself, and even now he wondered if he hadn't been to soft in allowing Haemon to take the female under his wing. He would not make the same mistake twice, especially since he caught something in the females eyes, something 'off'.

Moghedien simply sat quite calmly next to Chernabog but as the blue female addressed her and Chernabog her eyes began to frost over and instantly they left the blue scarred female's and flashed upon Damon the other male besides Chernabog that she did not mind showing a little emotion to and she clearly displayed her displeasure in her eyes now for him to see. She wondered whether Damon had been clever enough to spot this frostiness as he so lackadaisically explained upon how he came across this female rather than apologising on her behalf and on his for bringing such a wolf to her. She had trusted Damon for all these years and never had he given her bad advise in the past but right now she was failing to see the initial merit in the female he presented them with.

She noted the lack of humour in Chernabog's voice and right now she did not see a reason to quell the thinly veiled anger he felt at being addressed so and more to the point at how the blue female had addressed his mate. For now she ignored the female, she'd deal with her in due course and as of yet she saw no reason to show the other any respect when it hadn't been present to herself in the first place. No, calmly but with a voice Damon would know stated her displeasure she attacked her friends judgement, 'Yes, do tell me Damon, what do you consider to be the right type nowadays?'

Damon swallowed slightly, nothing that both were now extremely unamused by the female. Part of him felt guilty, disappointing the Queen was nothing he planned on, though there were times he could care less about the King's impression of him.

"She had a firey spirit as she spoke, M'lday," He stated, staring at the ice queen with eyes that did not waver. No amount of guilt would make him truly weaken before the two. He was not stupid enough to lay belly up before the greatest pair the world had to offer.

"I believed that it could be put to use. Any good scout knows that an inner fire can be tamed in one way or another." A smile tugged onto his maw, but it was not one of pride, rather forced amusement. "Despite the many warnings of respect I offered her, my words were ignored. I may have overestimated her intelligence, but I doubt that I over estimated her spirit, Your Majesties."

Caspera's features seemed to stiffen. Her smile faded and left the blue maw flat-lined; in fact, her entire body fell into stillness as she listened and waited, paying close attention to the tone each alpha took.

Then her head snapped and her eyes fell loosely on Damons figure. "You will find it right not to over estimate my spirit, but my intelligence is not for you to conclude either Damon dear." Casper said regardless of the conversation that seemed to disregard her existence.

Without moving her neck, Caspera seemed to calm and speak out to the King and Queen promptly after, "And I will apologize for what I have already said. Perhaps it was out of line -- cooperation is an art I have yet to master."

Dropping her head, Caspera bowed.

"I think you fail to understand the honor of being permitted into my court and exactly what it means to be a part of the reign. Cooperation is not an art, every member present be they bloodthirsty, savage, antisocial, brilliant minded, or fiery in spirit knows that they must at least cooperate here among each other. If not cooperate and get along then at least refrain from goading or foolish acts that would weaken the pack. There are those who would see all I have done to unite these primal forces, and in their fear they would struggle to destroy it." He might have sprung at her, the way his muscles were tense and coiled it would have been no surprise. Yet Mog's coolness beside him gave him a more level head, he finally looked at Damon.

"You sought for her to become a member of this court? A warrior?" His tone was dangerous now, low and almost growling, for he sensed something about Caspera. With her head bowed he could no longer see her eyes, but that he was certain was where her fault lay.

Moghedien listened to Damon's reasoning for bringing the female to herself and Chernabog but she wasn't convinced, the pack was full of spirited wolves, 'spirited' being a board terminology which could be applied to nearly all the wolves within the pack thus it was not a good enough explanation for her liking. Perhaps had she and Damon been alone they would of spoken a little more freely but he must relise now this was not always going to be possible, Moghedien was now Chernabog's mate, she was the alpha female and audiences like this would become the more acceptable manner in which to address her. Damon must learn to project himself in a manner which spoke to her as he always had and also kept the formalities in front of Chernabog, she did not doubt him of this skill being ever the greater diplomat that she herself was and is.

Before she could address Damon however, the female spoke and her hackles bristled ever so slightly in defence for her old friend, Moghedien did not portray her emotions to anyone, even Chernabog only saw a minimal amount of that side of her, if at all it was a 'side' but that still did not mean she didn't hold a few wolves close to her, namely Damon and Chernabog. The female was disrespectful firstly to the King and Queen and now to the queen's advisor and friend, though it was poorly sugar coated. Moghedien was not a physical wolf, her strength came in the form of diplomacy and she had had enough of this female. Her words left her maw like a bitter north wind, 'You have come in front of myself and my mate and you insult us both, you patronise a member of our pack, there is no perhaps about it and I suggest you master the art of cooperation very quickly if you choose to enter into such company as this.'

Moghedien's eyes narrowed dangerously as she stood regally next to Chernabog, his sheer mass casting a looming shadow over her, but she held her own. Where her icy calm neutralized Chernabog's more fiery nature Moghedien ignited her inner fire whilst in his presence and she became bolder. She allowed Chernabog to speak his mind before she advanced on the female. 'Look at me.' She demanded as she gracefully glided forwards out of her mates shadow.
