Who: Varun and Domevlo Where: The city aquarium When: Mid-afternoon, the aquarium is plenty busy!
Kinsey and Varun still weren't speaking. Well, that wasn't an entirely true statement; the young police officer made her best attempts to start conversation with the Frei, but it was clear the redhead was having none of it. Holding a grudge was nothing new for the leviathan; after all, he still had fits when anyone mentioned Riviner after the Sigel had wiped his face across the floor, and that was at Halloween! Kinsey tried to sway his opinion nevertheless, but it was akin to swimming against a raging river. Tiring, and fruitless. He locked himself in his room all night until Kinsey left for the station and then-
Well, left alone, and that's when little sea monsters come out to play.
Lips curled back to reveal sharp teeth, he was in one of his most stylish t-shirts and out the door the moment he knew his guardian and her dog would be out of earshot. Varun wasn't entirely sure where he was headed today; he just knew it was anywhere but home. The apartment was so very boring, he couldn't stand being trapped behind eggshell white walls any longer. He dodged through the crowd easily, his wings flicking every now and then as the leviathan weaved and bobbed. His hair was held up in a messy bun, and his tiara was still perched upon his crown like the prize he seemed to think the little plastic toy was. Ignoring any wayward glances he received (save those from large men, in which case Varun snapped his jaws and hissed), the sea monster found his way into the heart of town.
It was not often he made his way this far into the city; it was quite a long float, but Varun seemed to get more reckless daily. If he couldn't find his way home, Kinsey would come and find him with that dog. It was as he was scowling and cursing Ford's name that the redhead noticed a large signed with fish on it. "...aqu-aqua-" He snorted softly as he stumbled over the foreign word. "Aquarium." Varun had never heard that word before, but there were fish involved! The Frei darted across the busy street, barely avoiding becoming a part of the road when he buzzed in front of a bright red sports car, and pushed through the revolving door.
There were fish everywhere!

Thanatos was getting on his nerves! Don't do this and don't do that! Watch out for this or that! How many times did Domevlo have to climb the walls before the cowboy got it through his country fried skull that he needed and wanted space? Domo had done his best to stay clear of anything that would cause him undo troubles and make the cowboy change his mind on having a day to himself. Usually the picture box was the cause of many issues but for a full week, Domo ignored it, instead he took to his piano lessons. Playing with only four fingers to a hand was awkward and quite stressful -- he didn't like it -- but if it kept the cowboy from nagging then he'd play a harp in a heartbeat.
...So when he awoke this particular day he had already made plans to sneak out with or without the cowboy's permission.
Sneak out he did although it wasn't necessary. No one was home when he had awoken. All was still and that suited the equine just fine. Catching the first bus into town he was happy for the alone time, even with the hustle and bustle of the busy streets it didn't bother him so much as being cooped indoors. What was a frei to do with nothing but time on his hands? If only one could see the devious little smirk on the frei's lips. He would have laughed if there were anything funny but instead a shock of something red caught his attention detouring his mind to the curious color. Giving chase wasn't easy but it was a challenge and they were always fun.
Slipping through crowds of people and bypassing on-coming traffic the little red blip disappeared into a building just before Domevlo could make out who or what it was. "Too fast..." muttering to himself he gave chase stopping short to read the sign: Aquarium. With a slight shrug he slipped between the doors catching sight of the red blip. With a hidden happy little grin he picked up speed and rounded a corner only to stop short as he recognized his target... "Ah! 'Arun!" Domo called out moving in to greet the other, still butchering his name quite nicely. "What Arun do here?"

Varun was completely immersed in the scenery; it was rare he ventured so far into the city. Bustling and grey, it was not the prime habitat for a creature as magnificent and terrible as he. That, and there also happened to be a lot of people. A vast amount of humans often meant a large amount of men, which only led to the worsening of the leviathan’s mood. Believe it or not, even Varun didn’t like baring his sharp teeth or flaring his fins all the time. (It got tiring, to constantly defend what was his.) Yes, it was rare for him to venture into the heart of the urban jungle; the seasonal Frei quickly found himself engulfed and completely unaware of the Frei lurking nearby until Domevlo called his name.
Bright wings quivered and Varun turned to peer over his shoulder slowly. Oh, Domevlo. The leviathan remembered the horned Frei from the pool party; it felt like ages ago it had taken place. Fighting back his customary snarl, the sea monster turned completely so he could face the oncoming Frei. “Domevlo,” he replied by way of greeting torso stiff and still but for the gentle sway that floating brought. There was a long pause then, as Varun fought with his warring speech pattern. He’d graduated from the third-person, but to use the first person was so difficult. “I,” he began slowly, though whether for Domo’s sake or his own was completely unclear, “am here because it is not Kinsey’s home.” Varun sniffed and lifted his chin. He owed this other Frei no explanation.
“There are also…fish.” The leviathan waved his hand in the general direction of the massive tanks, eager to go and investigate all the creatures of the sea. But if the grey Raevan had the right to inquire after Varun’s doings, certainly he had the right to be equally as nosy. “Why are you here?”

There was an instant spark of something unpleasant in the air the moment Varun spoke. Domevlo did his best to ignore it but he wasn't very keen on holding out on his temper when Thanatos wasn't around to distract him. For now he took in a deep breath before letting it slowly out through his nose and mask. With that done he managed a slight smile though for the hidden factor it served no real purpose then for the gray Raevan's own knowledge. Shrugging he breezed passed the seasonal frei gazing at all the fish with a child-like wonder. Turning abruptly it was almost certain a broad smile played across his features by way of his eyes sparkling with bright curiosity. Even his childish speech held a bit of awe... "So many fish! Like tank at home only bigger. Domo want!" He couldn't help being interested in finding this place, or at least being led to it by accident. Truth be told he really had not plans for a place like this, for the most part he didn't know they existed until now. "Museum of fish?" He whispered the question to himself but then gave Varun a curious once over before frowning as his previous inquiry finally sunk in.
The gray frei just idled for along moment, as if there was nothing he had to say but then he shrugged and pressed a cool metallic hand against the glass. "Domo follow 'Arun long way back, thought he was someone not him." Again he shrugged as if it weren't important (to which it really wasn't as he thought). "Domo know it you when see up close but now want see fish." And with that in mind he began to float off leaving the leviathan to follow or not. It was almost certain Domevlo wasn't here to play buddy-buddy but he never turned up a chance to make a friend. He just didn't think the season frei was much obliged or in the mood for that matter.

Wait...hey, wait a minute!
Varun's nose scrunched as he turned to watch the gray Frei float off, leaving the ball completely in Varun's court. Slightly disarmed by Domevlo's non-confrontational solution to the leviathan's barbed inquiry, the redhead saw no other option but to tag along, ribbon spiraling gently as he followed the younger Raevan through the crowd. He grunted softly as he was jostled, but finally, Varun made it to the first large tank and glanced around, finding the horned Frei not too far off.
"Wait up," the seasonal Frei demanded, before trying again. "Wait up, please. There are two many people here. It is so crowded." Even if Varun hadn't intended to meet anyone here, the company of a Raevan was much better than being washed away by this sea of humans. His wings had been folded to his sides, lest they get bent back by a careless passerby and for once, the leviathan only looked tired instead of angry.
He pointed at the glass of fish. "It is very crowded in there, too."

For a moment Domevlo was caught up in the sights and sounds that took him all by storm. He wasn't used to this kind of museum, the kinds he went to had stationary items that were either laying out for him to touch, read about or in a glass away from his curious digits. This place had living creatures all behind glass swimming about with strange eyes, gills and fins... they were like Varun. Hearing the leviathan's cries to wait, Domo eventually snapped out of his thoughts to turn and find the seasonal frei closing the distance. "Arun get lost?" He asked arching a curious brow at the other. "Too many human things Arun get lost if not careful. Domo not know way 'round fish museum. Can you show?" He asked hoping to get a thorough tour. This was so much different and interesting.
For a brief moment the lead frei blinked up and down Varun's form before pointing a slender metallic digit at the colorful frei. "You fish thing!" He accused judging by the fins which were similar to some of the fish that swim by in passing. "Varun fish like things in tank..." And with that realization he giggled almost girlishly poking the other in the shoulder. "Domo not know before but know now. What fish thing is 'Arun's family?"

Varun bristled, not even bothering to hide his exceedingly irritated expression as Domevlo continued to butcher his name. About to open his mouth and argue he was most certainly not lost, of course he knew where he was going, and the other Frei started making comments about Varun's 'family' floating around the expansive tank over their shoulders.
"I am not," he huffed defensively, brow furrowing as he gave the metallic Frei a dirty look. "You are being stupid," he retorted, turning to eye his reflection in the mirror and flick his headfins. Well. Maybe there were some similarities, but Varun was ten times better, brighter, stronger. Preening and running fingers through his vibrant red hair, he eyed the younger Frei and licked his lips, something devious clouding his sea green eyes as the corners of his mouth tipped into a smile.
"None. I am the only Varun there is." A pause for another preen. "These are my...subjects. They are mine." He nodded and folded his arms over his chest, eyebrows raised slightly as he waited for Domo's response to such an absurd claim.
