And youth, in Sayet's context, is the youthful idealism of the five-year-old. Bad people have guns. Good people share. Mean people order you to do things like clean up after yourself, eat all your vegetables, go to bed early. Nice people let you play in the mud, watch TV all night and feed you sweets. You know deep down that you're supposed to obey but you don't wanna.
Oh, God. The Baby Boomers helped ram it through, but there were always people like this...it's ok for a society to have eternal five-year-olds, but please, not in political office...please...
