The lights were dim and some flickered on and off, but it was homey. Well, homey if your home smelled like grease and wood smoke. But some people loved it, the regulars, always hanging around the bar off to the corner and ordering a slice whenever their bellies could handle it. As rough and strange as this place felt, and smelled, it had the best pizza in town.
Duncan walked a few steps ahead as he moved away from the school, it was good to be out in the fresh air, even if he'd only been in the school an hour or two today. He did a little cartwheel, nearly fumbling Yorick into the street.

Sere laughed as they went down the steps, leaving the school, grinning as Duncan went over on his hands. She knelt down, picking up the old skull, before standing back up with an eyebrow raised. "Wouldn't want this to break now, wouldja? And how far is this pizzaplace? If it isn't more then a couple blocks, I'd rather take the damn subway." She said, rolling her eyes.

Duncan cracked a smile, taking Yorick from her cheerfully. He mapped the place out in his head, "Well, it's a little bit over four blocks, I guess that seems longer when you're hungry. We could take the subway if you want to, but it's kind of.. Just ech."

She glared, sticking her tongue out. "Tch, I can walk four damn blocks." She said, striding down the sidewalk; A second later, she trotted back, looking off to the side with her arms across her chest. "Ladies first." She said, not wanting to admit she hadn't the slightest clue where they were going.

He cringed, but shrugged it off. Ah well, not the first time in his life he'd been called a lady. Instead of snapping back, he balanced Yorick on his head, and went, "Whatever, it's this way." Flicking his tail, he turned around the corner and waited for a streetlight to turn red. It wouldn't do any good for them to get smushed by a car.

She couldn't help but smirk, rolling her eyes as he still goofed off with the skull. "Why not just put the damn thing in your pocket or bag or something?" She asked, waiting for a moment till the street light turned a dirty whiteish green with a picture of a walking stickfigure. She walked slowly across the intersection, taking her time purely to irritate the drivers waiting for her to pass.

Duncan toddled after her, sticking his tongue out at the few people that honked. "I could, but where would be the fun in that. Besides, imagine if I got checked at security somewhere. They'd think I was hiding it. This way at least, I can explain to them before I'm in handcuffs." He shrugged, "That or they'll shoot me up and send me off to the looney bin."

She chortled as she hopped ontop the sidewalk, idly flipping the bird to the cars and drivers who had honked at her. "You should probably be in there anyways, goldy." She said, raising an eyebrow and smirking, while waiting for him to take the lead again.

He took a few leaps ahead, showing emotion for once in his life. Well, he'd shown rage before, but usually he snapped back to his stoney expression. Oddly, he didn't feel the need to around this girl. "Goldy? That's a new one. Sides, if they threw someone like me in, you'd be the next in the line."

She laughed loudly. "Ha ha, more then likely. Though they'd have to catch me first." She winked, grinning. "Yes, goldy. Your hair IS gold, after all, unless you're hiding something from me...?" She trailed off, giving him a look before laughing again.

He tucked Yorick under his arm, lifting his other hand to brush it over the top of his mohawk. Of course, he could have dyed it, but he prefered not to, it would just be another hassle. And he was proud of his blonde hair, as strange as it sounded. "Nah, not hiding a thing, this is my natural color. Same with my eyes."

She chuckled. "Ditto to that. Natural blond, fortunately I was on time when Heaven handed out brains." She said, rolling her eyes skyward.

He smirked, "Far as I can tell at least. And you think I missed Hell's call for brains?" Well, he might have missed it, but how would he know that? He tried to have a good sense of humor about things like that. "It shouldn't be much longer, if I remember right it's just a block or two more this way."

She snorted. "I meant I'm one of the few blondes that's got a damn brain and can think about something besides the next a** hat who wants to be my boyfriend." She rolled her eyes again, glaring at her feet. "It better get here quick, I'm hungry!" She grumbled under her breath.
