It took very cleverly sneaking away from his school friends for Robert to get to the swing club. But, as usual, he'd managed to do so and was dressed in his severely contrasting clothing, dancing like crazy through the mass of bodies, switching dance partners every thirty seconds. That is to restate: His clothing itself was not contrasting, but a pinstripe suit greatly contrasted his day-to-day greaser clothing. So, almost-black hair brushed free of gel and curling up the perfect amount at the bottom, he continued his dancing, mind emptied and the widest of overjoyed smiles on his face.
He fell upon one of the familiar males in his movement and immediately switched to the female step of the dance with a practiced mastery. At the nicely matched skill and surprising strength of the other, he couldn't help but laugh slightly, tire finally coming to him as he wiped at the thin sheet of sweat on his forehead. A smile fell across his lips and he nodded toward a nearby table, making sure to meet the other's eyes very directly with his own insanely bright green ones. "Wan'na let me buy you a drink?" he asked, laughing softly and taking one of the boy's... three fingered hands? Shrugging that off as a result of the rest of the other male's strange fingers, he led him to the aforementioned table and took his own seat.
"Sorry about the stereotypical comment, but... so. Do you come here often?"

Suffice it to say that Fitzroy had been watching this kid dance for a long time before he had ever himself had the pleasure, and in that time he had built up a rather considerable crush on the slick, black-haired boy. So when he was approached by the youth, it was only the quick rhythm of the music that kept him from standing still and sputtering like an idiot. He was immensely glad that his partner knew the female step, seeing as Fitzroy didn't know it from an earthworm, and had great fun tossing and catching the skinny boy. Good excuse to hold him.
He was panting also by the time they were done, and merely nodded his acceptance, face flushed with effort and embarrassment. Biting back a dorky smile when his hand was grabbed 'and he didn't even say anything about how freakish they are, oh my god, yay!', he allowed himself to be lead to the table.
At the comment, Fitzroy couldn't help but try to stifle a laugh. Not because he was being rude or anything, it was just so adorable how he stated it, especially with the apology, which was so definitely unneeded, this kid could call him fat and he'd probably just go with it... Realizing that he had let his mind escape from him, he shook his head lightly with a self-conscious laugh. "D-Don't worry about it, it's fine. And I do, as a matter of fact." He leaned forward, perching his elbows on the table and his chin on intertwined fingers, smirk-smiling over his glasses. "You do too, right?" He really prayed he was right.

It was taking everything in Robert to only smile as huge as he really was behind his hand and do little more than smother his laughter behind that same hand. Oh, God, this boy's though process was the best that he'd heard in a long while. It helped that his ego was getting a rocketship to the moon on this kid's thoughts, too. Robert had very good reason to stay for the rest of the night, then, didn't he? Or, well, at least as long as this boy stayed. Oh, maybe it wasn't yet mentioned: Robert was a mind reader.
That is, as with certain cell phone plans and bad infomercials, rules and restrictions did apply. For example, he could only read the conscious thought process and not a lot else, so it was easy to make him think you were thinking something else, assuming you knew. Second, he could only read someone else's mind if he was looking them in the eyes, which he was thankfully doing with the green-speckled boy at the moment. Otherwise, it was worth at least a laugh every now and again. It was also good to be able to tell if someone was lying.
With the thoughts about how cute he was and how he could prettymuch say anything to this boy without problem, a faint flush crossed his face, but not by much. He smiled sweetly, backing up just a bit while the other moved forward as the blush on his face lit up just a little bit more. He liked forward; forward was good. He just wasn't used to have it turned on him like this, the way that the frantic, frazzle-brained boy looked up at him with a smirk on his face that made him melt inside - a new feeling he wanted to explore further.
"Good to hear. Me? Oh, I don't come around here too often, just five or six nights per, y'know, week," Robert replied, grinning like a little devil at his misleading contradictions. "This is practically my second home; the first one being school. My name's Robert. So who is it I'm talking to tonight?"

Fitzroy, being blissfully unaware of Robert's supernatural abilities, continued unabashedly thinking about cute he was, especially when he blushed. Especially when he blushed, in fact. The spawn grinned wider in return, unconsciously showing his demonic teeth before he realized this fact and shut his lips quickly, glancing to the side. 'Damn it, quit doing that Fitzroy, stop making yourself out to be some sort of scary freak! Just be cool, you can do cool, c'mon, be cool...'
However, as much as he tried to assert his coolness, Fitzroy could feel it all fall away as he fell pray to Robert's misleading conversation. At first, he widened his brown eyes in something approximating fear, before laughing awkwardly as he realized what an a** he just had made out of himself. He fidgeted with his hair in embarrassment, glancing to the side again and mentally berating himself. 'Goddamnit boy, could you act like more of a spaz?! God, no, now you're freaking out; j-just say something, something cool. Cool and... stuff. Right.'
Taking a deep breath, Fitzroy smiled and nodded at Robert, trying to keep his nervousness to a minimum. "Nice. 'S- That's- Me too," he ended lamely before mentally wincing. "I'm Fitzroy. Fitzroy Cathaldus." He moved to stick out his hand for Robert to shake it, but changed his mind halfway through the motion and grabbed the other's hand instead. He tried to smile disarmingly as he brought it to his lips, bowing his head to kiss it gently. A light blush dusted his cheeks as he grinned up at Robert. "Pleased to meet you." 'And dance with you and talk to you and be around you...'

Robert was enjoying himself. Oh, yes, he was enjoying himself very, very much. A soft laugh or two fell from his lips at how adorable the constant 'be cool' comments sounded. He liked this kid. He liked him quite a bit as a matter of fact. He was also glad that the other had fallen prey to his silly trick. A grin overtook his face and he shook his head, reaching out to press the tip of his thumb to the male's teeth, chuckling in astonishment. "These are actually real?
"Fitzroy, Fitzroy Cathaldus," he repeated, smiling to himself. That was a very nice name, if he did say so himself. "Nice name, nice t'meet-" When Fitzroy's hand took his, he could swear that his heart just about stopped, staring at their joined hands and making a muffled, strangled-sounding noise between a squeak, a moan, and some kind of dying noise. But it wasn't that loud. Maybe Fitzroy didn't notice. God, that was a nice name. Fitzroy. Fiiitzroooy. Mm.
Robert wholeheartedly blamed his pounding heart and spinning head for his next mind-numbing conversation starter. He smiled. "So... I can read minds." Oh, yes; very smooth move, Robert. Stupid, stupid boy. Could have maybe settled for knowing more of what the other was thinking without it being intercepted by a whole lot of 'Oh my God, he can hear me!!' But oh, he was so cute with how much he seemed to like Robert himself... him and his stupid, irresistibly drawing thoughts.

For a heart-stopping moment, Fitzroy thought that he had been too forward with Robert, that the squeaking noise was some kind of surprised dissent. He laughed lightly and blushed even more, nibbling at his fingernails nervously. 'GOD, that was scary, but he was so cute, maybe he'll been even cuter if I-'
"Wh-Wh-What...?" Fitzroy sputtered at the awkward statement, having been completely taken off guard by it. He... He could read minds? 'Like-Like right now? Like- Hey, uh, Robert, can you hear me in here? Blink twice or something.' As he thought purposefully incriminating thoughts, he showed his teeth awkwardly, saying the first thing that decided to come out of his mouth. "Uh, n-n-neat. I can, uh... Bite through... brick."
As Fitzroy continued making, in his mind, a complete dork of himself, Pac-man (who usually held still during dance-time for fear of getting motion sickness) decided that Fitzroy wasn't going to start spinning and carrying on again. Hesitantly at first, then with more enthusiasm, the belly mouth nibbled at the edge of the table, causing the whole thing to tremble. Fitzroy, startled, clapped a hand over Pac-man harder than he meant to, smiling in embarrassment up at Robert. 'Oh God, now he's really going to think I'm weird- OH s**t HE CAN STILL HEAR ME Um, no-nothing to hear here...' Blinking a little, he managed to force some words out of his throat. "Uh, P-P-Pac-man. He's, uh... nice. He's a mouth. On my belly. Belly-mouth."

The blush that had been on Robert's face only became more profuse at the implications of what, exactly, Fitzroy had been thinking of doing to him and he looked at the ground, staring at his fidgeting feet. When Fitzroy stammered his confusion, Robert looked up enough to meet his eyes one more time and smiled all hesitantly and awkwardly. 'Yes, Fitzroy, even right now. I HEAR YOU IN THERE!!' he echoed into the other boy's brain, chuckling slightly and shaking his head, the jest helping to fade the rampant blush on his more-often pale face.
"C-can you really?" Robert replied, cursing the weakness in his voice that wasn't the same in his thoughts. He cleared his throat, laying one hand on the table and drumming it gently in time to the song that was playing as he let his eyes drift off. Said green eyes widened when the table started shaking and he jerked his hand back, looking down at the table and then at Fitzroy and then at the stomach that Fitzroy was covering.
Upon hearing exactly what it was that the boy had been hiding, his eyebrows knit together before widening slightly. He stood from his chair, ignoring the teeth marks on the edge of the table, and knelt between Fitzroy's legs, well aware that it was going to bring extremely dirty thoughts to this boy's surprisingly polluted mind and not really minding that. Smiling a bit at the mouth, he reached out to gently run his fingers along Pac-man's mouth. "Hello there, Pac-man. I'm Robert."

Dirty thoughts indeed wasted no time in polluting Fitzroy's mind as soon as Robert put his head between his knees. Trying to keep his violent blush to himself, he pointedly glanced into the crowd of dancers, gnawing dangerously at his lip. His fingers tapped out a nervous rhythm on the table as Pac-man cautiously tasted Robert's fingers, then began nomming on them more enthusiastically.
As Fitzroy kept his eyes averted from the unhelpfully-erotic position, his thought process had a good time berating him. 'Oh, sweet job, Casanova. Couldn't keep it in your pants for even a single minute, not even your psychological pants! And now he probably thinks you're a perverted freak-case, not that being a freak-case is new for you, and he'll never let you dance with him again.'
He sighed quietly to himself, part of him already getting ready to resign Robert off to some other, more normal, guy. Without noticing it, he brought his gaze back down to his crush, one hand reached out to stroke the black hair longingly, as if this was all a dream and Robert wouldn't notice. 'Bye-bye, grass-green eyes and licorice hair, skinny lil' ribs and sunshine smile...'

Robert, honestly, was completely aloof to all of Fitzroy's troubles. Instead, he was distracted by the strange feature that took up the boy's otherwise normal abdomen. He giggled cutely as Pac-man opened up, licking gently at his fingertips and making him wriggle a bit. The next sound from him was more of a laugh than a giggle as the mouth started to gently gum at his fingers, a bright grin on his face. With the distraction, he didn't catch much of Fitzroy's mental rant about what a freak he was and was instead smiling at the odd mouth, blush completely forgotten in the moment.
He did look up again when he felt Fitzroy's hand in his hair. He gave himself a moment to let his violently green eyes fall shut and enjoy the feeling of the three-fingered hand running through his short hair, but looked up once he wanted to find out the source of the action. Upon the boy's thoughts answering his head, his eyes widened and he made a very gay, offended-sounding 'uh!!' He stood and laughed in surprise, taking Fitzroy's cheeks in his hand and rubbing the boy's face.
"Calm down!! Goodness gracious, boy, I've known your for a couple minutes and I think you're AWESOME. Why on earth would you have to say goodbye now?" he said, laughing in amusement and shaking his head. "No less, you're young. Like... really young. Well, what I mean is- you're younger than me. Maaaybe a little too young for me at this point, but... but..." He laughed awkwardly and shook his head.
"I don't know what I'm trying to say. I certainly like you, but you're really young, you have to admit. I'm not... not sure I'd want to be in a serious relationship with you. But I will promise one thing," he added, a soft smirk rising to his lips as he leaned forward, bracing both hands on the arms of Fitzroy's chair. "I would be flattered if you looked me up when you were a little older..." he whispered softly, lips an inch away from Fitzroy's before he pressed both together.
Only to get a cat call from the 'audience', turning and glaring, red-faced, at his friend, who waved her arm enthusiastically, well aware that she'd completely ruined the mood. He stood back up with a cute frown on his solid-red face. He looked from Fitzroy to the floor and back before shuffling back to his seat and staring at his feet, blushing from ear-to-ear. "...sorry."

If Fitzroy hadn't been embarrassed before, he certainly was now. Having once again let his thoughts run away with him, he started with a squeak as Robert responded to them verbally, turning the shade of a ripe red pepper. That shade only darkened when he felt Robert's hands on his face, and it was all he could do to keep his thought process from completely freaking out. Instead, he tried to focus on what the boy was actually saying.
The preteen frowned lightly at being called young. He wasn't that young, was he? When the idea of being too young for the other male was brought up, Fitzroy had to fight hard to keep an expression of utter dismay off of his face, and even then he only partially succeeded; a rather desperate widening of the eyes occurred, complete with pouting lower lip.
Said lip quickly slipped back in, however, when Fitzroy saw Robert lean in closer and closer. The spawn leaned back reflexively, only to be defeated by the back of his chair. Therefore, the boy was helpless to watch as his crush whispered against his lips in a way that made Fitzroy's heart skip a beat, then connect the two pairs in a way that made it feel ready to explode. No stranger to kissing (when you're dating Adelle, you're a stranger to little), he returned the gesture enthusiastically.
When the other pulled away in embarrassment, Fitzroy couldn't hide his disappointment, even though he was also mortified by the cat-call. Laughing awkwardly, he messed with his hat, also staring at the floor. "Hah, it's, eheh, not a problem... And I, uh, will, um, 'look you up' when older happens." he added with a small smile, glancing up over his glasses knowingly. "That'll probably be sooner than you expect, too. We spawn have been known to jump age brackets in a couple of months."

Robert's embarrassment was definitely overwhelming as he sunk down into his chair, obviously trying to hide rather than slouching out of any other kind of upset. The fedora topping his own mop of fluffy black hair was slowly tipped by the back of his chair to shade away those grass-green eyes, eyes which glowed gently from the shade beneath his hat. They weren't the only luminescent parts of the male, however, with his faintly freckled cheeks glowing in the same manner, though the bright combination of red and green made him resemble a Christmas special more than a swing dancer, especially one as typically-suave as he was.
Realizing then that, if anything, all he really wanted was to be able to talk to Fitzroy without either being seen as tempting jailbait or just being a flirt, Robert made up his mind that leaving would be the best idea then. Feeling as though he was being judged with every small movement that his body made, the brunette straightened up in his chair, flicking up the brim of his hat with his pointer finger and smoothly leaning forward, arms resting on the table as he whispered, voice nearing a low of conspiratorial. "Care to take our conversation to a more... private-whilst-public setting?"
Awaiting an answer for no longer than a moment, Robert lifted himself to his full, five-foot-seven height, a yawn breaching his lips as his arms extended, fingers linked, above his head, toes curving inward as he raised himself as high as he was able to. Once the long-winded stretch-yawn was completed, the two-sided male dropped back to the bottoms of his feet, rubbing at a watery eye before making his way toward the front door, casually greeting and dancing through a crowd of people that had become friends within the night, who would surely have forgotten him by the time the sun breached the horizon the following morning. Much to his own disappointment, he suspected that this 'Fitzroy' character would be much in the same way. Little did he know, he was anything but correct.
Leaning up against the wall just beyond the open-propped door, the young man opened his coat-front, reaching into a low pocket to retrieve a pack of import, filterless cigarettes and a telescoping cigarette holder. Setting the two together, he held the plastic mouthpiece between his teeth, flipping out an expensive metal lighter. Flipping it open set it aflame and he lit the end of his expensive mass of tobacco paraphernalia, drinking deep the cancerous perfume that billowed out of it in clouds, allowing the smoke to drift from his lips carelessly, foot tapping in time to the music issuing forth from the club as he awaited his company for the evening, a large part of him being eaten alive by the butterflies in his stomach.

Given the embarrassing nature of his first kiss with this boy, Fitzroy was only too happy to exit the club. A sheepish smile bloomed on his face as Robert leaned over - so attractively - and voiced his thoughts, and he nodded twice in quick succession. "Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. But then, you probably knew that, huh?" He laughed easily and rose as well, gesturing to a few of his friends while Robert stretched, indicating that he was leaving with him. His blush grew even deeper when lewd gestures and expressions were returned, and he quickly flipped them off before hurrying after his companion for the night (and hopefully for more nights after that).
When he reached the cooling night air outside, Fitzroy smiled happily at Robert. "Okay, more private setting. So... Where do you want to go? I'm pretty much good with anywhere," he added with a grin, pleased that his Liberality DNA made him so easy-going. When brown eyes fell upon the older boy's expensive cigarette holder (as Fitzroy wasn't versed well enough in cigarettes to know expensive from cheap), his jaw dropped slightly. "Woooow, that looks really pricey. Are you old enough to smoke? N-Not that, y'know, if you're not, I'm gonna become Johnny Straight-Edge on you or anything," he added quickly, holding his hands up in a placating gesture that was probably unneeded anyway. "I just don't know how old you are and, well, you said you were older than me, and, um, yes."
