User ImageA dark, pronounced shadow stretched across the entire cliff; a figure stood at its edge overlooking the horizon, the sun at a perfect angle across the distance that made his shadow balanced on the ground behind him. The lasting moments of day seemed symbolic to him; long ago in his youth had he waited for the duration of the dying embers of the sun, pining for the moment the moon, stars, and dark night sky would show up. In those moments as a cub, things seemed more possible, carefree, and... brighter.

The eons of years ago never did well to fade away, nor did his domain aid in obscuring memories of the past. However, it was neither comforting or disturbing to the black entity; just something that was, and still is, but not anymore. He hadn't seen her in a while, but respected that the two had their own duties to tend to - or rather, she had her own to tend to, and he was sentenced to a less bound form of work, but still not one that he was particularly inclined to do. He lacked direction, but did not want it, preferring to direct himself from an objective view. This was why the impassioned boulder of a lion scarcely felt heavily towards one judgment or the other, and perhaps it was not his place to judge either.

His frame was still, trained to be deathly stationery for lack of motivation to move. And his eyes were intent on watching the coming of night, letting the barrier around him fade as the dwindling rays of the sun lessened during their descent. Nothing seemed to be near enough to disturb the air of solitude he assumed, so his effect waned in tune to the sight he gazed at indifferently.
