Sandy had been told to stay put and the young spawn had tried quite hard to obey the command. The former blond had waited patiently outside an unfamiliar and none to pleasant smelling red brick building while their father ducked in to grab some owed money. Standing still was not Sandy's problem, sure Alpha and Omega fussed with their hair in ways that would probably mean extra brushing to get knots out later but that was normal. Delta and Epsilon the spawn's thicker golden tentacles that grew from their waist had seemed content to beat out some sort of rhythm on the child's legs. All in all Sandy had been bored, if thinking, but content.
It was the damned dogs fault. A glowing green eyed, saliva dripping dog with matted fur the colour of rust. It was big, head nearly level with Sandy's hip and it had had come from behind the back of the building growling once before it lunged at the spawn. Sandy had, despite being to stay still and wait, bolted self preservation instincts far stronger than worries about being punished when their father learned they'd left. All that was in the young child's mind was to run as fast as possible away from them the dog and the mauling it was sure to give them.
Sandy didn't know how it lost the beast, through weaving through the crowd, turning down random streets or crossing the road barely in front of traffic, and they didn't really care. All Sandy knew was that they were safe and out of breath and that patch of grass on someone's front yard look like a really nice place to lay down. With Alpha and Omega buried under their hair, and Delta and Epsilon acting as sentries Sandy collapsed onto the lawn and stared at the sky trying to slow their breathing.

Iah was a little surprised to have his space invaded by another child, not so much because he didn't want him about but because others ended up avoided him after awhile. It had been some time since he'd seen anyone other then his family though he supposed that could be partly his fault... He was becoming more antisocial the older he got because the older he got the more aggressive his red tentacles became in their defense and possessiveness of him. There were few that could deal with them and that number was growing to be less and less as Iah got bigger.
His footsteps were quiet as he slipped forth from where he'd been hiding out behind some bushes so that he could read and hopefully remain out of sight so that he could look at the one that had come into the yard. He... no, that looked more like a she... maybe. Either way this new kid looked rather interesting, seemed to have tentacles as well though they were different then anything that Iah had ever seen. His mother had purple ones and he had red ones but the new kid had golden tentacles! They were really pretty...
"H-Hello." He greeted the new comer when he got closer, though no closer then his tentacles could reach as they were already tensing up for a potential battle since they seemed to sense that another spawn was about. One of them wrapped around his shoulders looking much like a snake while the other wiggled and twitched, preparing to attack.

Breathing mostly returned toa normal state by now Sandy rolled in the direction the voice had come and offered a small apologetic smile. " Hi, I'm Sandy," The spawn introduced themselves while all four tentacles offered hesitant waves as if sensing aggression coming from part of the three eyed spawn. "I'm sorry about trespassing but I was really tired."
Sandy simply wasn't overly athletic by nature and being chased in blind terror by an evil creepy dog had worn them out. The spawn could only hope this stranger wouldn't be too mad at them. Maybe they , Sandy thought the dark haired other might be a boy but had learned never to assume, would even help Sandy get back to Tybalt!
