Reading the Spreads

Each spread is designed to help you decide which is best for you. It starts with a name and picture of what the spread looks like when I draw the cards. It then shows you what each card means with a short word or phrase. Then I leave a description of the spread, so you can better understand the cards purposes. Some spreads have notes to explain them even further. Finally I have a section called Your Question. This gives you a guide as to which spread is the best to answer your question and why. It also informs you whether or not there should be a question with the reading. I hope this makes your experience enjoyable. If you are still not sure which spread to chose, pm me the spreads you are considering along with your question. I will be happy to pick the one that best fits you.

General/Decision Spreads

~Single Card Draw~

Cost: 200g
Additional cards = 100g

Description: I will draw a single card and give you the reading. This is a great way to look for a problem or find a little bit of insight on a situation. This can be done once, or done in a series tell a story, deepen an issue, or find a solution to a problem just uncovered.

Your Question: Anything. It is a vague reading, and may need several additional cards, but it is quick and easy.

~Twin Card Draw~

Cost: 300g
Additional twin cards = 200g

Description: This spread is very similar to the single card draw but instead of one card I will draw two cards as one card. The two cards are read as a single card, the second defining the first, to make more connections than the cards would have made alone. This is done to make the story clearer and the insight more true. This can also be done in a series to tell a story, deepen an issue, or find a solution to a problem just uncovered.

Your Question: Anything but the reading is vague, but less vague than the single card draw. This may require additional cards before the reading is over.

~Past Present Future~

Cost: 400g
Additional Cards: 100g

Cards:
1. The past.
2. The present.
3. The future.

Description: The three card or simple spread is probably one of the oldest spreads in existence. It is good for a quick answer to most questions and looks at the past, present and future surrounding the question.

Your Question: Any question will work. This gives you a quick overview and can possible help you solve your problem by showing you the problem in true light.

~Course of Action Spread~

Cost: 600g
Additional Cards: 100g

Description: This covers the past present and future of the situation, which I find very helpful in any spread. It then goes deeper by looking at your subconscious reasons behind the question. Finally it ends with a possible outcome.

Your Question: This can answer just about any question. It is all around a good fitting spread for five cards, that is slightly more advanced than the basic three card spread. It will not give specific times.

~Ellipse~

Cost: 800g
Additional Cards: 100g

Cards:
1. Past influences now having bearing on the situation
2. Now - the influences surrounding you at the moment
3. Future influence having bearing
4. What to do
5. External influences having bearing
6. Hopes and fears
7. Final outcome of this situation.

Description: This spread covers the past present and future to get an overview of the situation, which I myself find very helpful. Then it gives you a suggestion of what to do to better your situation. This is followed with external and then internal influences on the situation, finished with a conclusion.

Your Question: This can answer just about any question. It is all around a good fitting spread for seven cards, that is slightly more advanced than the course of action spread. It will not give specific times still but it covers different forces that are also involved.

~Opportunities & Obstacles~

Cost: 800g
Additional Cards: 150g

Cards:
1. Past influences on the querent's question.
2. Present influences on the querent's question.
3. Future influences on the querent's question.
4. Energies working in the querent's favor.
5. Opportunities.
6. Energies working against the querent.
7. Obstacles.

Description: This spread covers the past present and future, as many spreads do, which gives us a good sense of the situation. Its focus is then on positive energies at work with its opportunities, and the negative energies with their obstacles. The energies and obstacles can represent people to events to feelings.

Your Question: This can answer just about any question. It is a good spread for seven cards, but very different from the previous spreads. It still will not give specific times but it strays away from a vague concept of outer or inner energies, and names them as helpful or hurtful. This specificness may help you answer trickier questions that even you do not know what could help or hurt the situation. I feel this adds a layer of comfort to the reading.

~Checking The Direction / Life Overview~

1. The power of the past.
2. The power of the present.
3. The power of the future.
4. Suggestions and tips for the querent #1.
5. Suggestions and tips for the querent #2.
6. Obstacles that the querent must overcome or avoid.

Description: This spread is focused on the direction things are moving in in the quarent's life. The direction is found with the past, present, and future cards. Then it gives some gentle suggestions on how the quarent might better their current situation, points out obsticals to come, and then reveals a possible outcome.

Your Question: This spread is less designed to answer a question than it is made to take an overview of your life at this moment. If you do not have a pressing issue, I find this spread to be a very helpful and healing spread that allows you to gain insight with now set goal when you start.

~Should You Shouldn't You?~

Cost: 1200g
Additional cost: Must state three different possible solutions to your problem.!
Additional Cards: 200g

Cards:
1. What may happen if the querent does what they're contemplating #1.
2. What may happen if the querent does what they're contemplating #2.
3. What may happen if the querent does what they're contemplating #3.
4. What may happen if the querent continue moving toward #1.
5. What may happen if the querent continue moving toward #2.
6. What may happen if the querent continue moving toward #3.
7. Outcome if the change is made.
8. Outcome if the change is not made.
9. Something the querent needs to know before making a decision.

Description: This is a little confusing, but it helps for those of you who have given your question a lot of thought, and have decided on a few possible ways of solving it. First you must number your options from 1 to 3 before you ask for the spread. (More options may be added, but this increases the price immensely.) It then shows what could happen is you chose and continue to move in the direction of each choice. An outcome of what can happen if you do something, or nothing, along with some vital point that the quarent should consider while making the decision.

Your Question: You question must be in the form of three possible solutions. I find this is the best and most engaging way in making a decision when your possibilities are seemingly equally good or terrible.

~Celtic Cross~

Cost:2000g
Additional Cards: 200g

Cards:
1. The present
2. The immediate challenge facing the querent. You will often pull a difficult card here, which will indicate an obstacle that must be overcome. When you pull a "good" card here, examine it carefully because it will still represent a challenge.
Distant past, foundation. This card should indicate the root of the subject matter of the question
4. More recent past, including events. This will indicate events taking place, not necessarily directly connected to the question. For example, if a love affair going wrong Card 3 would show the root of why it is going wrong, whereas Card 4 will show something that recently happened to reflect this. You could see this as a "check comment" card - a way of seeing that the reading is sound.
5. The best that can be achieved. This is directly related to the question. Note that this may not necessarily gel against Card 10 - it depends whether you are able to get the best. However, a negative card here probably means that it is worth cutting your losses rather than putting any more effort into the situation.
6. Immediate Future. This indicates events in the next few days or week(s). This reading does not cover months.
7. Factors or inner feelings affecting the situation. Compare this against Card 1 in order to understand underlying forces/trends. If there is conflict between them this tends to indicate that the querent is going in the wrong direction.
8. External influences. People, energies or events which will affect the outcome of the question and are beyond the querent's control.
9. Hopes or fears around the situation. This may produce a card that confuses us badly. Always bear in mind that hopes and fears are closely intertwined, therefore that which we hope for may also be that which we fear, and so may fail to happen. Sometimes it is useful to draw a second card for clarification after the reading has been laid, and to read the two together.
10. Final outcome. This is a fairly self explanatory card. However it is worth saying that if the card comes up somewhat ambiguous, once again it may be worth drawing three extra cards to clarify. These should be interpreted through the lens of Card 10. So if the card drawn is the Tower and we draw the Ace of Cups, Princess of Cups and Four of Cups in a reading about a relationship, the Tower would indicate that it is time to move on. The Ace of Cup suggests that a new relationship is promised with better things ahead. The Princess of Cups brings new love (and possibly pregnancy). The Four of Cups shows deep levels of contentment and happiness, and many options for progress.

Description: Explained above. Most common spread I have seen used ever, anywhere. I guess because of it's popularity and familiarity it gives a sense of comfort. A very versatile Spread.

Your Question: Anything Specific. This spread covers just about anything that a spread could cover, except for time.

~Stuck~

Description: This is one of the longest spreads I have found. Starting with a general overview, It then covers all of the aspects of your life followed by what can be done to better those pieces. It concludes with an outcome to wrap things up.

Your question: This spread is not designed to answer a question. It is for people who are stuck, and can not decide what to ask as a question, but know they have a problem. It is similar to the direction spread, but more specific.

Time/Date Spreads

~This Month~

Description: This is a five card Tarot spread that looks at the the next four weeks and the overall theme of the month.

Description: This is a slightly unusual Tarot spread in so much that it does not consider the past and present but looks exclusively at the next 12 months. A thirteenth card is drawn as an overall significator for the year and any card whose meaning is in doubt should be read in conjunction with this card. It is possible to lay out a further twelve or twenty-four cards to give a greater depth to each month.

Notes: Refer to card 13 if the meaning for any other card is unclear. Although this spread is usually used for a general look at the next twelve months, it can be targeted in a specific direction if required. This spread can be done with just 12 cards with the significator being omitted if desired. It is also suitable for a shorter time spread such as 6 months.

Your Question: This can answer a question that is time specific within the year, but it may be slightly misleading. It is better to go into this with an open mind, asking what will happen this year.

Love/Relationship Spreads

~Should I Stay~

1.The querent's current position.
2.Why it may be worth staying.
3.Why it may be worth going.
4.Will the querent be happy if they stay?
5.Will the querent be happier if they go?
6.Overall recommendation.

Description: This starts you at your current position. Then it shows you why you should stay or leave the relationship. Then it shows whether you will be happier staying or going. Finally is wraps things up with a conclusion.

Your Question: This one is quite specific. Should I stay or should I go, from any relationship. This could be a lover, to even a job.

~Mirror Mirror~

Cost: 2400g
Additional Cards: 100g

Cards:
1. How the querent sees him/herself.
2. How the partner sees the querent.
3. How the querent sees their relationship.
4. How the partner sees their relationship.
5. What the querent wants.
6. What the partner wants.
7. What the querent needs.

11. Influences acting in favor of the querent's partner.

Description: This is a fourteen card Tarot spread that looks at the wants and needs of both partners and helps to determine what needs to be done by each to improve their relationship. It also considers outside influences acting for and against each person. It concludes with what each partner needs to do to help the situation.

Your Question: This could be a does he/she love me or not to a problem in a current relationship. All is fair for this spread in love and war.

~Custom~

Description: For those of you who have spreads you have found on web-sights, in books, or made yourself, I will be happy to preform them, but I need you to do something first. Send me a visual image of the spread or at least a card order. Explain each card, what it does/means/represents. This may require a few PM's for me to fully understand the spread but I haven't found one I can not do.

A picture actually helps me almost more than any amount of words, and you can PM it if you do not want all the other members seeing your pretty face. I will try the reading and see what I find regardless if you like.

~The Fool~

The fool is a free spirit. He knows how to play and have a good time. This card represents childhood and the subconscious. Looking at the card you can see a jester juggling the zodiac symbols with the moon and stars in the background connecting this card to the Major arcana. Therefore this card is out of your own control and up to the heavens. He is also dancing with a hoop around his leg. A scepter is clearly in the way of the hoops path. If he keeps up this care free lifestyle he will surly fall. Even though this is a care of blissful freedom, caution must be taken to prevent whimsy turning into disaster.

Are you being to carefree at the moment? Do you need to reconsider you actions? Or are you in a close relationship with someone acting this way? Think about these possible connections and other possible connections when you try and apply this to your life. Please feel free to tell me the results.

It could also depict a fun time in your life, past present or future? I almost forgot it could mean new beginnings in something, any aspect of life really. It is the base card for all the aces. I don't know what to tell you, it is the card I drew. Maybe the universe has something deeper for you to know. Possibly you just need to meditate on the card longer. I do apologize. The fool is one of the most limitless cards. It is a beginning, like a fresh start. The carefree aspect is often to depict a child, or a birth of something. It is normally never a beginning of something distressing but it can be. Have you notices something new in you life? That might be what the card is saying. And I will be happy to draw an additional card to clarify, no charge.

This reading was interesting. Mentally I foresaw The Lovers before I did the reading, and that is exactly what I drew.

The Lovers: You see a man, ripped with muscles and wearing a Spartan's garb, tightly pressed against a woman, both with little clothing. The woman rises toward the sun with an expression of giving herself as a gift for the man. The man has an expression of lusty near gratification. Two dolphins leap from the waters behind them as they emerge from the sea themselves. This depicts balance, and harmony.
The message of The Lovers tells us to make good and balances choices. Consider all the facets before committing to any decision. Choose well and build a foundation that can help you achieve your best dreams.
Take heed, a relationship with simply physical attraction, a career decision with only an intellectual appeal, or a home opportunity with decadent amenities may not be the best choice in the long run.

Based on the situation, I think the cards are telling you to go for it, but do read all of the commentary. Be sure to weigh your possibilities, but don't feel confined. The Lovers is a good card, be at ease.
