I just heard on my local TV news that there are plans for a Nascar Hall of Fame. The city of Richmond is in the running for this hall. Daytona, Charlotte, Atlanta, and Kansas City are also in the running. I wouls like to see it in Richmond for the fact that it is between the souther and northern coradors for Nascar Fans. I would not think that Kansas City would be a good plac for this museum.

I happen to live in Henrico County. I could become a frequent visitor to the place.

Well this might just be me, but I think it belongs in either Daytona (for historical reasons) or Charlotte (seeing how many shops are located in or around there).. but thats jsut me.... it's not like I would be able to visit it anyway (damn damn damn huge distances!!!)

Daytona and Charlotte would be good choies. But I'm sure that Richmaond or Atlanta could also be good because of the fact that they don't have any Nascar related atractions as the other two do. As i said about Kansas City, it would not make a good site.

Like Major Ursa said, Charlotte and Daytona already have a huge market to cater to the NASCAR fans there. So, they're already getting tons of money from those people. Here in Richmond, we don't really have an NASCAR attractions, other than RIR. By building the hall of fame here, they're gonna increase their market here by attracting people who may not be able to go to a race- (i.e. older people, or handicapped people who don't wanna face the hassle of a crowded track).

Building here would be a great boost for local businesses as well who don't necessarily promote/affiliate themselves with NASCAR now, but may in the future to link themselves with the sport, and it's money spending fans.

Well seeing I'm from Sweden I'm not to familiar with how your cities look etc, but also building in Richmond would be more of a risk than Daytona or Chralotte. In thoose two cities they are almost guranteed to make a profit cause the NASCAR fans are already there, but at the same time they would expand their market by building at Richmond, even if it may be risker, and well money will play a big part in choosing location.

Just thinking here... but then thanx to dying my hair today I've been breathing way to much weird fumes to be able to think properly razz

YAY!!! Nascar Museum!!! I would love to see it go up in Richmond...they have a couple of really great races there every year...and it is a fun track to see a race. I know that I live in Dayton and I frequent the Indy museum all the time!

A nascar hall of fame would be great. One more thing I'd have to see before I die
