Jane sat on his bed, staring across the room at a metronome on his dresser. He watched it move back and forth. Tick, tick, tick, it went. He chanced a glance at Keita, before looking back at the metronome again. Why...? I was the first one with this brain...why is he treated better...? Why do more people like him...? I was the first to survive it...I was created just for the metal brain...he didn't get one until after I lived through it...why do they treat him better...? He thought as he watched the metronome tick back and forth. "He was just another experiment like me..." he said out loud before realizing it.

Jane jumped in alarm. "I-...I was created for you...so that they wouldn't kill you when they gave you that brain..." He pulled his arms in closer. "I-...I was taken from her...she-...I-...they took her away from me..." He hesitated. "I was created for you...I don't want to be here..."

Jane glared at him, his cybernetic eyes taking every bit of his angered appearance. "Shows what you know. Master told me I was created for you and that I was lucky they even let me live." He fixed his stare back on the metronome, watching it continue ticking back and forth. "I tried so hard not to have feelings. I tried to deny them...She wouldn't let me...I tried." he mumbled, more to himself than anything.

Jane didn't look at him. He didn't let himself flinch or even show that he had heard him. He just sat there, watching the piece of metal move back and forth. "I think you're just jealous of what I had. Taken from me or not, I still had it and you didn't." He sighed a little. "I was not built to be strong. You must remember that." He paused. "And those memories I had with her? They can be erased in an instant. Sometimes, I don't even know if they were real."

"And if you killed me right here and now, they'd only kill you in return, they can't keep someone that could turn on them. Then what kind of name would you have for yourself?" Jane stood up and looked him over. "You barely know anything about me other than I had something you didn't and for that, you think I am weak. You are fueled by anger and hatred." He smirked. "And you think my emotions make me weak. At least they don't turn me into a raging fool who does not think before he speaks."

He raised his hand to his neck without looking at him. "I'm sorry to tell you, but it takes more than that to hurt me." He then walked out the door and smirked. "Also, I don't even have to tell them you left. They can track you. It's in your brain and arm. Programmed right in. It can't be erased and the only way you can get rid of this tracking system, is to get rid of your brain or arm." His smirked widened. "Trust me, I know this. If you got rid of either, you'd be right useless, now wouldn't you? Best thing you can do is just ignore me."

"So now I'm not allowed to stand in my own hallway? True, you may not have time to spend on me, but the higher-ups sure have a lot of time to spend on you." Jane said before turning to go back into the room. The metronome was waiting for him. He liked the sound and how it kept the beat. Not once jumping out of line, not once trying to hurt him. Tick, tick, tick. "Sorry, but that's the reality here and sooner or later, we all have to face it. Trust me, if I could get us out of here, I would in a heartbeat." He said, closing him out, prepared to ignore him.
