It was a lazy day for Miss Scarlet. Her tee pee had become a bit of a halfway house for many soquili who didn't know where to go of what to do. Her son's Claude and Rocket had visited with their new families quite often, while Memory and Flower lived at the tee pee still. Scarlet had had the pleasure of watching her grandchildren grow into beautiful adults, ready to lead their own lives. Of course, looking at the third generation of her mixed and blended family Scarlet did begin to feel her age. The joints in her knees complained as she descended the mountain, something she had not done in some years. Yet, with the graceful finesse of an aging matriarch she sighed contentedly despite her pain and came to the foot of the mountain. Yes, this was going to be Scarlet's lazy day, something she had not has since... well since her boys were born.
She smiled fondly thinking of how her life when from nothing but relaxation to affectionate duty and work. Oh, she didn't mind one bit, she loved both of her boys. She just wished she could see Ranulf a little more. Oh, she didn't blame him for leaving. She didn't blame Syipher either. She had refused to acknowledge the problem, and in her denial her family broke apart. No one was to blame, but no one was innocent. It simply happened. Still... she sighed and smiled gently to herself again. Ranulf must have been a grown, handsome stallion by now. "He probably still doesn't speak, the dear thing." Scarlet had no idea where he got that from, really.
