Iya was getting frustrated.
Iya was getting really frustrated.
The Tree was dying. No matter how much energy they were able to stuff into it, it continued to wilt... this wasn't right.
Iyero had blamed her. He said she'd given it bad energy. The others had their own opinions, but the fact her Iyero - her Iyero - had decided to blame her.... well, it was upsetting, to say the least.
So, having taken a page from Ishi's book, Iya had decided to drown out her sorrows in soda and candy. Being as the candy store had long since closed for the evening, she had once again faced down the terrifying shattering barrier and snuck her way into the candy store. After collecting a massive amount of caramels, chocolates and gumdrops (and a rather large slushie, which turned her tongue a funny blue color!), Iya plopped down in the middle of the store and began her feast.

Okay, this had to be someone's sick, TWISTED idea of a joke!
Sailor Iris had been making some rounds in the city when she came across the candy store.
The candy store with the broken window.
If there was one thing that Sailor Iris did not like, it was sweets. Yet, she needed to investigate. The last time she saw glass shattered like this was at the high school, and that time there was an alien and a strange type of monster. Carefully, she hoisted herself into the building, and immediately her nose was overwhelmed by the sickeningly sweet stench of sugar.
Glass crunched slightly beneath her boots as she eased herself in through the broken window. It was possible the thief was still here. If her brain was more mindful of the situation, she would have realized that the last thing you did was announce yourself present.
Instead.
"Hey! Anybody still 'ere?!"
Sailor Iris was such a smartie.

It had been a long week for Sailor Scylla. And when she saw a flash of white vanishing into a broken window, she was torn. On one hand, it would be far too easy to just walk past and let it go. On the other hand, she was really curious as to why someone was breaking into the candy store.
Beyond the obvious.
She slipped carefully through the broken glass a few moments behind the other figure, her black curls bouncing around her shoulders as she wiggled her way through the broken glass. She hated broken glass. It got in hands, and legs, and made latticework of the spine when it got shoved in the back.
Two things she caught off the bat: It appeared the person she'd followed in was another senshi, if one judged by outfits; second thing noticed was that this store was chock full of yummies. Mouthwatering yummies. Unfortunately, she didn't have her wallet or she might grab some.
Scylla was the type to leave money behind when she took things.
She cleared her throat, quietly, trying to draw the attention of the other senshi without drawing anyone else's at the same time. A brief look didn't have her seeing anyone else, but one could never tell. Hopefully it hadn't been the other Scout that had gotten a craving for a midnight snack.

Despite the fact that not one but two senshi had just entered the building, Iya was far too preoccupied with her new pile of goodies to notice. Already, chocolate had found its way smudged across her face, her tongue an array of rainbow colors thanks to the gumdrops. She'd begun working on the caramel, which she discovered was highly sticky and chewy - sticky enough that her jaws continued to fight with one another to prevent getting stuck together.
Lifting the excessively large slushee cup, she quickly sucked through the straw, drinking in the blue raspberry flavor in attempts to wash the caramel away. Only, Iya had never had a slushee before. No one had every warned Iya of the importance of drinking slushees niiiiice and slow.
In no time at all, Iya's head began to hurt. And it began to hurt a lot.
Dropping her cup, blue slush flew out of the top and across the ground. Her hands were clutching on to her head now as she began to wail - the drink, the drink, the drink had poisoned her!
"AHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhHhhhhhhhhhhhHhhhhhhhhhhhh!"

There was a faint sound. The sound of someone clearing their throat? Turning to face the noise, she found closer to the window a girl with a similar suit to her own (though not identical in the slightest). Sailor Scout she mentally noted as she signaled for this dark-haired girl to come closer. For someone who had just crawled into a candy store and having access to all this "free" candy, the blonde senshi's expression seemed rather sour.
3 seconds later.
2 seconds later.
1 second later.
Something in the middle of the shop began to wail in what sounded like pain. Instinct always had this way of overriding any sort of common sense that might have been in the tall girl's brain. And at the moment, it flung her towards the "victim."
Only to find something familiar.
"...What th'f*ck?!! God damn it, not you again, kid! Seriously?!! What th'hell are ya doin'?!"

When the white-suited senshi waved her closer, Scylla obeyed, Four meadured steps had her at the other senshi's side, until a wail wade her flinch and the other woman was gone.
She followed the noise as well, taking another route from the white-suited girl and coming out in a different place.
It looked like a child, in the middle of the store, with a big pile of candy and a slushie. Screaming. When the other senshi seemed to know the girl, Scylla moved forward a few steps. "Are you alright?" she frowned, concerned. "Was it brain freeze?"
What kind of parents... well. Well, it seemed like many Destiny City parents let their children wander around all hours of the night. It was becoming all too apparent just how little control parents these days had over their young.

Hands still latched to her head, the small alien looked up at the voices addressing her. Her eyes were still wincing from the pain, but the figure of the senshi of rainbows was unmistakable. The other girl was a stranger, but definitely senshi. Stupid stupid sensh--- wait.
Brain freeze?
Brain freeze!?
"Why would you give me brain freeeeeeeeeeeezeeeeeeeeeee," she moaned, her eyes close to tears as her head continued to throb in pain, "I just wanted caaaaaaaaaaaaaandyyyyyyyyyyyyy! Now I'm gonna die."
One hand moved down to dig within the mountain of candy covering her, obviously searching for something. When she was unable to find whatever it was she was looking for, she reluctantly released her head with her other hand and began to frantically search through her pockets. "Stupid mean senshi, I would have given you some candy if you had asked!"

Sailor Iris' lips were pressed into a straight line. She was not amused. "God damn it, kid! Nobody dies of a brain freeze! Jus' means ya gotta slow yerself down and let it go away on its own."
It was obvious that Sailor Iris was not good with kids. Then again, kids were so stupid, why should she bother being good with them?
Unfortunately, there was something very familiar with this scenario. The kid was starting to search her person for something. And she was being a brat by whining about all sorts of stupid things.
"I don't even like candy!" the yellow-suited senshi groaned out. With that out in the air, she attempted to reach in and grab the kid by the two hands. If this was anything like the last time, there would be a monster summoned. A monster that Iris (and this other senshi who currently had no name) would have to defeat.

Scylla's lips thinned, but it wasn't at the wailing child-like figure on the floor. It was at the other senshi. "She's right." she told the figure, and moved forward. "A brain freeze won't kill you. It just means you had too much cold too fast." She stopped at the edge of the candy pile. "I don't need you to share your candy; where are your parents?"
Question #2, how had the little girl broken the window?
When the other senshi reached in to grab the child, Scylla opened her mouth. Closed it. "Sweetheart," she told the other girl, "Is there something you're looking for? I can try and help you find it." her hand was moving out, an attempt to stop the other senshi from grabbing the child and cause her to scream. Again. Possibly louder, and bringing cops down around their ears.
Scylla didn't have the experiences Iris did.

Hands were snatched away before Iya could find her cards and she was roughly hoisted onto her feet, wrappers and candy packaging floating to the ground from off of her skirts as she stood up.
Her hands, Iris soon learned, were covered in just as much chocolate and caramel that had been smeared across her young face. With another shriek, Iya managed to tear her gooey hands away from the other senshi, taking a step back as she trampled over her pile of candy in attempts to get away from the other senshi.
Her flute appeared out of thin air and dropped into her sticky hands - one hand moved to rummage through unseen pockets once more, and quickly drew out a card. She glanced at it for a moment, then hurled it up in between the three of them.
"Seathe, Seathe come save me from these senshi pests!"
Drawing the flute to her mouth, chocolate coated lips began to play a soft tune as the card hovering in midair began to glow.

Iya played her tune, the card glowed and the spirit of the creature hidden inside it hummed with energy as it responded to its mistresses's call. It was a heartbeat or two before the Cardian exploded out of the card with a little 'pop,' and landed gracefully in the pool of blue slushy that the alien had spilled across the floor in her brain-freeze induced agony.
His flesh had the same see-through texture as textured glass, and the shapes of the shelves and the candy barrels that surrounded him appeared to move almost like shadows through his slippery figure. Seathe may have been small, but there was something undeniably haunting about the way the jelly-fish boy turned, as though he was a china doll on a wheel, towards the senshi. His eyes were white and glowed with an intensity that bespoke his intentions, and those of his mistress, as he considered his prey with an almost endearing tilt of his bulbous jelly-fish head.
He could feel their energy. It wafted off of them in delicious waves. Seathe yearned to taste them.
His mistress had asked him to rescue her from these unfortunate pests, and rescue her he would. There was no mouth to give away his emotions, if he had any at all, but the way his eyes crinkled upwards at the corners suggested that he was pleased.
Shoulders shaking with laughter that had no tangible means of escape, Seathe clapped his hands with glee and glided towards Sailor Scylla. His arms were outstretched as though he expected her to give him a hug.

Sailor Iris could care less about the new brown stains on her "lovely" white gloves. Perhaps if she was a bit more of a priss, she would have cared that her uniform which could magically mend itself got dirty. Even the blue-suited Senshi's efforts to block Iris' attempts to restrain the girl seemed to be ignored for now. The thing that got a bit under her skin was the fact that the alien girl had managed to slip away and create another monster.
There was a long string of curses and profanity that followed "Seathe" being summoned. The Senshi of Rainbows truly deserved the soap-in-mouth treatment, but it wasn't like anybody was going to do that right now when she was like this. Curses were still popping out of her mouth as she did something rather quickly. She balled up her right hand into a fist, which began to glow brightly at first, but then dulled down to a faint glow.
Calling back to the (still) unnamed Senshi, the blonde advised "Don't go easy on 'em! Last one packed a decent punch!"
She then set her sights on the summoner. "I ain't gonna let ya get away this time, kid!" With that, she flung her wrist in the alien's direction, a rather light rainbow flying in her direction. At least Sailor Iris had dulled the rainbow down to the point of not hurting if it managed to latch a hold of her.

Scylla was about to get angry. She was about to open her mouth and berate the other Scout for scaring a child.
Until the child pulled out a flute, and a card, and created a jello-monster. More specifically it was some type of a jellyfish. The other scout had a colorful vernacular.
As the jellyfish creature stepped forward, Scylla stapped back, listening to the crunch of candy under her heel. If she recalled, most jellyfish were at least mildly poisonous. That would suck. "Sorry, cutie, you're not my type." she told 'Seathe.' She didn't want a hug from that. It was creepy.
It didn't look to be more than basically solid. Would her power work against this being? Could she grab and hold it, or would it slide from the grip of the limbs she summoned? Finally she came o a decidion, still backing away from the combatants, eyes locked on the summoned creature. She flung out her hand, hissing out her power's summon; halfway between the jellyfish and the flute-wielder two octopus-like tentacles tore through the floor, reaching and grasping for their prey.

She hadn't expected to be attacked. So when the bright rainbow ribbon came out of nowhere and took hold of around her, Iya immediately began to panic.
"No no no nooooooooooo, you're supposed to go for Seathe, don't go for me nonononononoooooooo!"
Her shrieks were starting to turn to whines and as Iris pulled in her lassoed prey, Iya fell to the ground a la tantrum style, kicking up her feet in a pitiful attempt to resist the pull. "LEAVE. ME. ALONE. I DONT LIKE YOU."
She struggled against the ribbon, turning to look towards Seathe, who was busy combating against a whole different set of tentacles. Wait.... that girl had tentacle monsters too?! Not fair, not fair, not fair!!
As she soon figured out she was stuck and there was no way of escaping, her whines soon began to turn into whimpers. "Lemme gooooo. You're huuuurting meeee, lemme gooooo!"

There would have usually been a grin on Sailor Iris' lips at this point after latching onto the desired target with her Rainbow Ribbon. If it weren't for all the screeching. She held it tightly, only catching a vague hint of the tentacles that had been summoned in her peripheral sight. If she had seen them a bit more clearly, she might have had a few choice complaints of her own, all revolving around the fact that Sailor Iris got stuck with the girliest attack of all.
Perhaps it was a good thing she didn't see the summoned tentacles.
When the alien kid reduced her complaints down to sniveling in "pain," that almost seemed to be the last straw. The yellow suited senshi began to approach, and the expression on her face should have said it all. This kid had pissed her off.
"Look kid! I DON'T like ya either! And I know this doesn't hurt! I can make it hurt if ya really want. So stop with th'damned whinin' and tell me what the hell yer doin'!"
