I'll stand up for what I believe in, but everyone had a breaking point. I get tired of arguing and debating these kind of issues with people. Thankfully I don't have to do it very often.

It is two different issues. I know gays who are against letting same-sex couples adopt. Adoption is not for the benefit of the adults it is for the benefit of the kids, after all, and there is no shortage of different-sex couples wanting to adopt.

So some (including some gays) believe there is really no reason to place kids in same-sex families, just as there is really no reason to let single parents adopt (which is possible in some countries).

But it was probably an interesting experience xd

Well as I tried to explain, there isn't really a "non-gay side" to the issue. There are lots of gays who are opposed to letting gay couples adopt kids xd

But I guess having a debate like that is good for just the reason you describe: you get to see things from the other side smile

Don't go in the acid!! It's just showing that you have to see both sides to every story and by viewing both sides you gain perspective even for the Yes side and can make your argument well rounded. Sorry you had to debate for the "no" side. (cuddles)
