That study session had take far to long and in her opinion Timothy still did not seem to get it. Now Liliana was going to be late. Dressed in her leotard, a skirt and jacket she hurried down the sidewalk. Unfortunately for her she still had such a long way to go. The ballet studio was almost three miles away. Lily frowned wondering why she was still taking ballet, then remembering it would be very helpful in her singing career if she had some dance experience, so she hasten her movement.
Lily was coming to the park and stopped looking at it. She really did not wish to go through it. She was wearing her ballet shoes, knowing that when got to the studio she would not be able to change, better to be ready when she got there. However, if she went through the park the straight line would lessen her journey considerably. 'Late or right on time,' Lily thought.
The decision was easy despite her outfit, Lily headed into the park walking quickly, skirt swaying and bouncy as she made her way off the park path and straight into the grass. She thanked every deity she could for the dryness of the grass as she walked, feeling a bit better about her decision.

AJ had gotten out again. As much as Damian loved his dog he had a frustrating knack for getting out and taking off if no one was watching him and he got bored. The red head had a feeling that the dog thought of it as a game for his entertainment. Damian just found it annoying as all hell.
"AJ! Come on, I wanna go home!" The teen had a leash in his hand, and a scowl on his face. He could be practicing guitar or trying to woo some girl into sleeping with him, but no he had to track down his damn dog because his sister was too busy with 'homework' to do anything. Rolling his eyes he continued to stomp across the grass occasionally yelling for his dog. "AJ, come on boy!" Normally he would have been all over the pretty girl who he passed by while searching for his errant dog, but under the circumstances he was a bit distracted.

Lily was startled from her thoughts by the shout from behind, she stopped turning to see a boy stomp past her looking very irritated.
He was shouting to an AJ and she wondered who exactly that was. Pulling out her cellphone she checked the time and frowned before heading toward the boy.
"Hey," she called walking fast to catch up to him her ballerina skirt swaying about her legs.
"Hey," she called again, "Have you lost something?"
The question was asked just as she was catching up to the boy and she hoped he would realize she was addressing him.

The first call from the girl didn't get his attention, but the second one did. He turned looking her over, she was a cute little thing dressed in some sort of dance outfit. His eyes stopped, drinking her legs for a moment before he shook his head and brought his silver eyes up to meet her blue ones.
"Oh, yeah, my dog, AJ. I know he's around here somewhere, the stupid brute never goes far." He said 'stupid brute' affectionately. AJ really was a dumb dog, but he was loving and the nicest dog you'd ever meet. "He got out of the yard again." Damian rolled his eyes as if that explained everything.

Lily stood looking at the boy who seemed to have heard her, but was not responding. She frowned slightly realizing he was totally spacing. 'What is he looking at,' she thought to herself and was about to speak again when he seemed to snap out of it and look at her.
She smiled as her spoke but her smile dropped at his explanation. The poor puppy, running loose in the park, it was rather dangerous. People were skating, biking, running and not to mention the street around the park were busy at this time. She frowned slightly feeling torn, time was not on her side, she would barely make it on time as it was and she really did not want to be late.
However, her concern for the dog, AJ, won out in the end. She smiled once more, "I can help you find him, if you like. Two sets of eyes are better than one, right?"

Damian's gray eyes had started to sweep the park as they talked, but they moved back to the red head when she spoke. "That would be awesome. He's really hard to miss, big and shaggy. Actually," He paused and dug in his pocket until he pulled out his cell phone, quickly navigating to the photos folder. He pulled up a picture of him and AJ and then turned the phone to show it to her. "That's him. He's really nice, so don't get scared if you find him and he runs up to you." He chuckled a bit and put the phone away once she got a good look.

Lily listened to the boy's description of the dog, then smiled brightly when he showed her the picture.
"Oh he is so cute," she spouted enthusiastically, she loved animals and really thought they were all so cute.
Lily shook her head when he told her not to be scared, "I volunteer in the animal shelter about two miles from here. I love animals, no fear here."
She turned, her eyes roaming over the trees and the bushes. She called him name loudly and gave a rather melodious whistle, not anything like what you would use to call a dog.
Her eyes returned the the boy and suddenly she realized she had not introduced herself and resolved to do so quickly. "Um," she started rather unintelligibly, "I am Liliana, by the the way."

Damian smiled when she said AJ was cute. "Me or the dog?" He winked, then chuckled. It seemed even AJ having run off couldn't quell his flirting instinct. When she continued to talk about working at the animal shelter Damian's smile grew. "Awesome then."
When she whistled he arched a brow, her whistle was almost more like music than a whistle which was slightly odd, but he didn't question it. He cupped his hands to his mouth about to yell for AJ again when she started talking. Lowering his hands he turned back towards her and then smiled. "Oh, I'm Damian. It's nice to meet you, and thanks for helping me."

The wink and chuckle went mostly unnoticed, except for a blush that grew across the girls' cheeks. She'd meant the dog and she really hoped the boy was joking, not he wasn't er cute. Oh Lily had no feel for such things.
She smiled when he gave her his name, "It's no problem Damian. It's nice to meet you too." She gave another melodious whistle louder than the last which only serve to make birds chirp at her loudly from the tree.
The twittering made Lily laugh lightly, her cheeks flushing more deeply. "I think my whistle is more a bird call then." She brought her hands up to her mouth cupping them before calling out. "AJ, here boy. Come here boy!" The call was sing songy and suited her soft voice rather perfectly.

He chuckled when the birds chirped at her. "You have quite a whistle," He draped the dog leash over his neck so that he could lift two fingers to his lips. He waited until after she called out and then blew, letting out an ear piercing whistle.
It might've been the whistle, or maybe a girl's voice yelling, or even a combination of both. But whatever it was, it got the dog's attention. There was a beat where nothing happened and then there was a loud bark, and a giant ball of fuzz was hurtling at him. The dog came to a halt in front of the two, looking back and forth before he ran up to Lily, pushing against her legs and sniffing her.
Damian laughed, a grin of relief on his face. "It seemed your help did the trick, thanks." He watched AJ shuffling against Lily and couldn't help but chuckle again, the big dog just wanted all the attention.

Lily laughed lightly, at Damian's comment. She had the birds in a bit of an uproar. After she had called for AJ, Damian let out his own whistle and Lily covered her ears quickly, until the whistle ended.
Hearing the dog back, she laughed, "I could say the same for you. Much better than mine and you welcome."
She watched as the dog bounded over haulting before them and then decided she warrented further investigations. At the sniff and the bump she quickly squatted down rubbing one hand down the dogs back and allowing the other to scratch behind his ear.
She smiled bright, "That a good boy. Have a nice run in the park, " she asked as thought the dog could actually answer her. "You're such a cute doggy," she said practically cooing at him.
She looked up to Damian, "He's very sweet," she said.

Damian smiled at the girl and watched as the big dog sniffed her. "He likes you," Not that that was a surprise, AJ liked everyone. He watched the dogs tail start wagging a mile a minute as he was petted and scratched. He chuckled a bit, the dog had a knack for getting people to spoil him with attention.
The teen laughed at her words, a smile on his face. "Yeah, he's a big ball of love." He chuckled again and then knelt down snapping his fingers. "C'mon AJ, time to get you home so Adella doesn't have a fit." The big dog lumbered over at his command and Damian snapped his leash on. Standing up he brushed off his knees, and smiled "I gotta get going or my step-mom is going to think I got lost too." He shrugged a bit then continued. "Thanks for helping me Liliana, maybe I'll see you around sometime?"

Lily enjoyed the dogs adorableness, amused by his friendly demeanor and furiously wagging tail. It reminded her of how Eamon was with her and she was feeling a bit nostalgic. She barely heard what Damian was saying until the dog pulled away.
Lily looked to Damian, smiled and stood. He was saying he had to go and she quickly realized she had to go to. She quickly dug into her bag looking for her cell phone, frowning as it alluded her. Instead she pulled out a pen and a notecard, quickly scribbling out her number on it.
She handed the card to Damian, "It was no problem really and yeah maybe we'll see each other around sometime." She turned not awaiting for his reply and took off in a run.
"I think I'm late for ballet," she called over her shoulder running toward her lesson.

Damian blinked as she started digging through her purse, women and their purses. He'd made the mistake of looking through a girl's purse once and he found all kinds of things that he never needed to see again. After that he'd learned his lesson and left purses alone. Luckily what came out of Lily's purse was much better. It was a card with a number. Reaching out he took the card, looking over the number before he shoved it in his pocket.
"Thanks, I'll call you sometime!" He raised his voice calling after the girl, unsure of whether or not she heard him. Shrugging a bit he turned and headed towards home.
