It was something of an understatement to say Mareike was unhappy about this forced meeting at the facility, something she must attend and on Vampy's schedule at that. The wrath spawn had never responded well to him as an authority figure and balked at being ordered around like this. Still, she needed to be at least marginally cooperative with him if she wanted to continue to achieve her own goals. The only thing even potentially good about this mystery meeting though, as far as she knew, was that she might catch Pepper at some point before she left, the other spawn was always something of a silver lining to her days.


Mareike knocked perhaps a bit more forcefully than was necessary when she reached the office door. Though she doubted it was possible the young women wished to rattle Vampy and set him at least a little off his game. The spawn would feel more comfortable dealing wit him if he wasn't his usual confident self that projected control, control she dearly wished to have.

Mareike gave a shark nod and entered the office with an air of confidence about her. Though she was loathe to admit she still probably couldn't take Vampy the fact that he seem weary today was good for her. It mean he would probably argue less if arguing needed to be done. Even as she she found a seat the wrath spawn made sure her posture was dominant and assertive. " So what precisely are we discussing today?" she asked wanting to get straight to the point.

Mareike nodded " Ahh yes," the transfusion made sense she supposed as a reason to be here, though she didn't particularly care for Vampy inquiring about her personal life. " The physical changes have been obvious," she pointed out " though not painful or strange feeling in their emergence," for which she was thankful. " Mentally I'm more," she paused and shrugged. " I'm less tolerant now, more things offend me and I," she shifted a little, "I get excited the worse things go." She's always loved fighting and blood and asserting her dominance but it always seemed like she waited for it with baited breath now, like she wanted to fight more than to simply have her point or power acknowledged. This was not an entirely pleasing discovery for the spawn.

" Growing up is just normal I guess, I feel older and have more hormones." Mareike laughed softly " I am mildly more mature but not so much that I don't enjoy letting go and having fun from time to time." Which reminded her to kidnap Pepper and take him out to an amusement part soon.

Mareike drummed a finger on hr leg as she listened to vampy. Regret was something she'd rarely had before the transfusions, never mind now. Still, she'd be careful with the timing of receiving more blood if only becuase she wanted to relish the changes in herself and master them as they came. If they could be mastered, even now she'd like nothing more than for a fight to breakout nearby that she could participate in or at least watch.

The young woman shook her head, thistle coloured hair flying about a little as she did so. " I'm not complete, i try things " she clenched her fists " So many things to give myself a challenge, something to consume me but it never works, it's never enough." Not tennis , not performing, not fighting for the guard, nothing made her feel truly whole for very long, all of it faded in important and left behind a deeper ache than before.

The wrath spawn sighed and frowned as she thought about the offer. Working for Vampy meant acknowledging him as her superior on a regular basis and nothing in the girl wanted to do that. She might have respect for his skill and power but he was .. he was a threat, always her instincts told her he was dangerous and that him in her territory would mean a loss. The need for power and control, to set her own rules and terms had ruled Mareike's life for a long time.

On the other hand she was so god damned tired of things never being right, of completing each task to find the feeling of success fade away with time. Cirque pleased her a little on an emotional level but her body adjusted to the rigorous demands it had set on her and she found her mind wandering during practices which was no good for anyone. She had made something of herself there and for all the circus allowed her to remake herself with each new production it wasn't enough.

Still.. Vampy....

"Would I have to live here?" If she could avoid him often enough and simply go out and do her job, that would be ideal. regardless the idea was tempting and something in the very core of Mareike ached for the chance to be useful, to be challenged and grow with no boundaries.

Mareike snorted as she nodded "I have control." It was her key to everything the controlling of herself and others. " For now I am more comfortable not living amongst the others." She needed regular people in her life as well and a setting that wouldn't threaten to set her off just getting food in the morning if she saw an old tech she remembered and hated.

The wrath spawn locked eyes with Vampy, showing no fear, no submission. "I will work for you," she agreed " and you will give me what I need in return." The maroon skinned girl smirked " Or I walk away, end of story." It was possible even he would fail to find work that satisfied her and she would not be beholden to him forever.
