This is G'li he's been sort of rattling around in my brain.
Need opinion:

Telgar or High Reaches (he wouldn't fit in at Ghenza).
Would he be retired at his age? Is it plausible for them to still do watches for the Weyr?
Any input is appreciated.

Physical Description: Will get to this...wrinkles? XD
Personality: G’li is an old wind bag, period. Just as much as his dragon likes to gossip the ageing rider loves to talk for the sake of hearing his own voice. Do not engage G’li into conversation if you do not intent on being asked personal questions about yourself, or listening to a long story. Like an ageing Uncle G’li’s mind is getting a bit muddled and he often repeats himself. (Windbag professor type.)

He feels very strongly that sexism is completely rubbish and isn’t shy about telling someone off.

His goal in life: live long enough to see the enemy; he wants to fly thread more than anything in his life. Training for as long as he has he cannot see taking all that time, and living this long not to live to see. He understands that the point of being a rider during a pass is carrying on the tradition for future generations, but wants to feel the exhilaration to put his training to the test.

Faults: talks and talks, did I mention he talks? He’s ageing and it’s taking a toll on a lot of his senses. (I realize riders often live longer lives, and are healthier than the average Pernese.)

Strengths: Loyal, “wise”(?)

He is a very caring individual, he especially has a soft spot for weyrlings, and he will often watch them drill and enjoys watching lessons. Knowing that the knowledge is being passed onto the next generation helps him to feel useful.

G’li isn’t ( and was never) a very sexual being, besides flights he does not take many women to bed. Being Holdbred his views on sexuality are a bit prudish.

History: G’li was Searched at the age of fifteen from High Telgar Hold. He was raised by a loving doting mother and two older sisters. It took him four years to Impress, he does not speak much about the first nineteen turns of his life because before Oth there is nothing of record to speak of.

He has spent the last fifty two turns of his life caring every moment of the day for Oth… and getting into other people’s business.

Oth is a bit of a gossip, he enjoys being the watch dragon because he knows exactly who is coming and going, and will often ask questions and relay information. As much as he likes juicy tidbits of information he forgets names easily and will often relay misinformation for talking’s sake.

He is a loyal and sturdy brown, always wanting to please his rider. He also has a life goal of holding out until Thread will be seen in the sky, and like many is sure that it will fall in his lifetime.

Oth no longer participates in flights, although at times he still feels the urge to chase after a green (Does not act on the urges). He believes it has never been his place to chase golds.
