Name: Cassia (cash-i-yah) Katsaros
Nicknames: Cass, Cash, Cassie
Gender: Female
Age: 16
School: Crystal Academy
Fav. Food: Fruit, tomatoes, fish
Hated Food: Steak, lamb, pickles
Hobbies:Gossip - GOSSIP GOSSIP GOSSIP. Cassia has to know the latest news in her social circles, and contribute to it as well - who's going out with who, who wore that ugly dress to the party last week, did you hear what people are saying about your best friend? Cassia tends to believe what she hears, and pass it on verbatim to the people it concerns, which causes more problems than it solves. BUT SHE'S GOING TO HELP YOU GET THROUGH IT. Lately, though, she's been working on curbing the impulse, such as keeping a diary full of very incriminating information. But you know, when it's not right there with her to scribble in furiously, she can't always hold her tongue...
Romantic Movies + Books - Cassia is a teenage girl who doesn't have a boyfriend (why do you think her parents sent her to an all-girls' school? THOSE BOYS BETTER STAY AWAY FROM THEIR DAUGHTER). In lieu of the real thing, she'll spend free time sighing at everyone else's happy, fairy-tale endings. And maybe using these books and movies as legitimate sources of information whenever she gives love advice.
Swimming - Cassia's hair tends to get in the way of most other sports, but in the water it's SLIGHTLY less of a hassle. Consequently, she's taken swimming up as an extracurricular, though she has yet to try out for the swim team at Crystal (it has a lot to do with the logistics of fitting her hair into a swim cap). For now, it's just a hobby.
Virtues: Somebody Has To Go Polish The Stars - Cassia believes if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. If there is a problem, she's practically compelled to get herself involved, to solve it, to fix it. Only she tends not to have any idea what to do! But she
has to try - and if she doesn't, who will?
Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost - Cassia lives in the now. She's great at improvising on the spot, and values this ability. After all, if there's one thing she's learned from movies, it's that if you make a plan, things NEVER work out like you think they will.
Laughter Is The Best Medicine - Cassia is very open about herself. If she's happy, you'll know it. She'll tell you. And if she's upset, she'll tell you too. And ooh, if she's mad, you're going to hear ALL ABOUT IT. She's not above asking for help when things are rough.
Stop! In The Name Of Love - Cassia believes that passion is a powerful force, and the power of the heart and love and emotion can overcome all obstacles. Even in the face of logic and evidence, she can be rallied to a lost cause by a heartfelt plea. She's never apathetic; inspire her, and your fight is her fight, your enemies are her enemies.
Flaws: Too Much Information - Cassia's open, all right.
Too open. Once you give her an opportunity to talk, she's never going to stop. The price her friends pay for her volunteered 'help' is listening to her talking about just about anything that strikes her. Oh, and she can gossip with the best of them.
Can't See The Forest For The Trees - Cassia might be able to imagine the problems others can run into, but she can't see the consequences of her own actions. She focuses too much on the details and doesn't see the bigger picture. Plus, she's more interested in the present than planning for the future. It comes back to bite her in the a** regularly.
True Enough - Cassia wants to tell it to you like it is. Really, she does. But sometimes she just gets so excited and carried away that a little tidbit of information thrown her way can quickly spiral out of control as a monstrous rumor all its own. What kind of a story would it be without an unrequited love? Or danger? She
did tell you she saw the whole thing firsthand, right? Well, she
imagined it firsthand, same thing. She thinks the information is fundamentally the same - but it's more exciting to hear it this way, isn't it? Too bad it's misleading as hell and quickly labels her as 'the girl who cried wolf'.
Refuse To Lose - The funny thing about the power of heart is that passion is not always the best approach. In the heat of the moment, Cassia gets competitive. Everything can turn into a heated 'us versus them' and back to neutrality as though nothing ever happened. But when she gets into it, she doesn't take defeat well. So, of course, she'll do everything in her power to avoid it. Everything. Even the stuff that isn't exactly high on the scale of morality or legality. But the point is, SHE IS DETERMINED TO WIN AT
ANY COST.
