Did I Leave the Gas On? says:
Rocket had finally had enough of Ivory's tears. He wasn't mad at Ivory, far form it in fact. He was mad -for- Ivory. The colt he saw as every inch his brother had been brought to tears for the last god forsaken time. He'd trained with his uncle Claude long enough to know how to land a painful kick, and that was what he intended to do, square in Rockstar's stupid, ignorant, idiot face.
Yuuka says:
Candy sighed softly as she wandered. It had been some time since she had done such a thing. Hoshi was back at the teepee. Zuilian and Porfirio on foal sitting duty since Aer was being looked after as well. Mumbling angrily to herself, she didn't look where she was going and very nearly ran into a stallion with a bandana (scarf?) around his neck.
"Oh! Excuse me, I'm terribly sorry."
Did I Leave the Gas On? says:
Rocket was knocked off his fury along with his own two feet. He was still rather adolescent, so he was unsteady to begin with, anyway. He toppled over from the slight impact and rolled a little, seamlessly getting back onto his feet. He winked a little and sh k out his curly mane. "Oh, I'm perfectly alright, I just hope I didn't hurt you, Miss." She l ked familiar...
Yuuka says:
"No no, I'm fine." Candy gave the stallion a faint smile. That would probably give away who she was. She checked him over to make sure she really hadn't done any damage. She was very out of sorts lately, what with RC's disappearance and Rockstar leaving her. She didn't lnow what to do any more.
Did I Leave the Gas On? says:
A lightbulb went on in Rocket's head and he smiled wider. "Hey, you're Ivory's mom! I should have known from the pink coat. Gosh, he l ks so much like you!" He laughed and adjusted his scarf a little. "I'm Rocket, his brother, for all intents and pruposes. My mother and father t k care of him."
Yuuka says:
Candy's small smile widened considerably. "How's my boy doing? I miss him so much. I just figured he'd be better off with your parents. He needs a male figure in his life."
Did I Leave the Gas On? says:
Rocket laughed, "oh he's doing beautifully, helping me and Nerissa a great deal, always eager to please and all that." His smile faded, however, as he infered that she didn't know where Rock was. "So... I can assume Rocket isn't with you, then?"
Yuuka says:
Her head bowed as tears pricked her eyes. She tried to speak, but no words would form. Instead she simply shook her head no. She hadn't seen him in weeks
Did I Leave the Gas On? says:
Rocket l ked from left to right in a panic, not used to dealing with sad mares. "Er... um... Ivory is well, I can take you to see him, neh? He should still be with my parents."
Yuuka says:
Candy took a deep breath and composed herself. "I'm sorry. You don't need me to burden you. My problems with Rockstar is just that, my problem."
She gave a very tiny and possibly unconvincing smile. "No, I believe you that he's well. He'd probably be horribly embarrased if I popped in unannounced."
Did I Leave the Gas On? says:
"Nonsense! Come with me, my home is not far from here!! I'm sure he'd be more than pleased to see you." Of course, the fact that Rockstar had made a mare cry, in his mind a crime punishable by death, made him want to bash his face in even more. He kept the agression off his face and continued, "You can't avoid your child's life, you know... he is your child. And I misses you. As much as he
needs a male figure... he needs a mother."
Yuuka says:
Candy nodded slowly, "That does sound good and I do miss him terribly. I suppose it can't hurt." She sighed and her breath hitched, "I don't want him to think I abandoned him as well."
Did I Leave the Gas On? says:
Rocket whinnied a little and tossed his mane happily. "Oh, he'll be so happy," he said with a prance. "It's a bit of a walk, if you don't mind. I love by the delta."
Yuuka says:
Candy chuckled softly, A walk definitely didn't bother her. "I've never minded walking. I love to wander on adventures myself. What about you?"
Did I Leave the Gas On? says:
Rocket rolled a few words around in his mouth before he spoke, trying to keep his parents in as g d a light as possible. Of course, they were fabulous Soquili... today. He knew what they were before they found his grandmother. "Both of my parents lead... bumpy lives before these lands... I inhereted thier love of adventure." He chuckled a little. "But I like to go on them with others, since
going on them by one'self is no fun."
Yuuka says:
"Your mom's Selena right? I remember her. She was nice." She did remember Selena though it seemed she'd forgotten the mare's attitude towards Zuilian.
"True, adventuring by yourself gets old quickly, but I can't go on many of them any more since Hoshi and his brothers were born."
Did I Leave the Gas On? says:
Rocket perked up and said, "Yeah, and my father is Suichii. Did you know them both?" Strange, since Ivory didn't even mention brothers. Though, Rocket reasoned, his family was the closest Ivory had ever come to a real one. He felt a new heartbreak for his brother all of the sudden. He really deserved to be amoung bl d...
Yuuka says:
"I don't really remember. I've met Claude and his mate Istas as well as Scarlet." She smiled fondly at the memory at the kind usdia mare. "It's good he has others to care for him."
Did I Leave the Gas On? says:
Rocket laughed out loud at the thought of his grandmother. "She had an active hand in raising all three of us, as did our aunt and uncle." Rocket had no idea how well integrated his family was. Have most of them either been rasied on that mountian or in far off lands they just seemed to alienated. Adn one tends not to think of thier parents as having friends really. He was adoleacent enough
to still think like that.
Yuuka says:
Candy giggled at that. "It's good to know that you all had so much love and attention. I was very worried about what would happen to him." Another sigh, "I hope Rockcandy is alright as well."
Did I Leave the Gas On? says:
"I... haven't heard about that one... I sort of assumed that Ivory was orphaned, really." Admittedly, Rocket did feel bad about that assumption. There was no way Ivory really WAS his brother, since he l ked absolutley nothing like his family... but he'd always just accepted it as it was. "But there's no harm in going to l k for him," he offered, "I mean you can take care of the two boys you
already have, and I can go l k for him."
Yuuka says:
"That'd be nice. Would you mind if I came along. I'd feel better knowing and seeing for myself." She hoped he understood. It wasn't that she didn't trust him to find out and deliver the information to her, but she was a mother and she worried despite others reassurances.
Did I Leave the Gas On? says:
"I understand... but you can't just go gallavanting off. I'm not just going to bring back information, I'm going to bring back the colt." He grinned. "You've now got two foals to watch over, and running off would only increase thier feeling of abandonment. I'll take my uncles hawk so she can bring you daily news, if it'd make you feel better."
Yuuka says:
Her body sagged and she nodded. "You're right of course. I should know better then to go running off. There are others to consider. I'd appreciate whatever you can do."
Did I Leave the Gas On? says:
Rocket smiled and nudged her gently. "I'll bring him back safe. I give you my word. And a Rocket's word is never broken. But for now Ivory is waiting for you Still a bit of a walk, but let's dead with it one step at a time, neh?"
Yuuka says:
She smiled brightly and tugged his mane affectionately. "Thanks so much!" She trotted around him, with her head high. "Let's get going!" She was eager to see her son.
Did I Leave the Gas On? says:
"It's g d to see you feeling better," he chuckled, grinning from the tug. He knew she'd be a g d mother, he could tell even now. Ivory needed this. His mother was a fabulous mother, but she wasn't -his-. Ivory needed his mother. "We're still only halfway there, so don't wear yourself out."
