Well, I've made better decisions in my life, Sailor Saiph thought to herself as she cradled a wrist that was badly cracked if not broken and watched a large, scaly youma specimen. And I've made worse.
She was filing her choice to go after a big angry and hungry youma in the middle of a thunder storm under "WORSE". She'd known better but a fierce and stubborn streak of self-reliance had tricked her into thinking that she was up for this. That same streak had now been beaten to a bloody, mangled pulp by the rest of her brain. And to have picked a construction site as a battleground was also on the top of her BAD IDEA list. Too many ways to get hurt or trapped (as she currently was). Now, it was just a matter of time before the youma stopped toying with her and closed in.
And for one of the few times in her short life, Saiph wasn't sure she had the strength to continue the fight.

He almost always had his new phone set to scan. Castor was determined to find all the girls of the senshi and hit on them, at least once. AT LEAST. That and he was running on the idea of 'Hey, how bad can they be?'
Judging from the blip that was Sailor Saiph, they could be pretty bad.
Not that she wasn't good looking. Hell no, she was perhaps, one of the most well endowed senshi he'd ever seen. Just...she looked like she was about to become a meal. A tasty sailor scout meal. Toys included. (Castor's eyes were currently fixated on her 'toys'. Maybe he good order a happy meal to go.)
Okay. Brain check. Youma. Take care of that first. THEN ask for a happy meal.
"Large and small, justice rains down from the sky! In the name of Castor, prepare to suck my d**k you ugly a** youma!" His fellow scouts would be so impressed with his version of a battle cry. Jumping down from some scaffolding, the hail senshi stood himself between monster and maiden. "Sup sexy? Castor, super senshi of hail, at your service." The youma hissed, taking a step back at the sudden intruder. "You still able to fight or is this going to be a one man show?"

For one brief moment, had this been one of those ridiculous animes, Saiph's face would have been doing the blue squiggle line thing followed by the biggest floating sweatdrop the world had ever seen. It was certainly the most.... unique battle cry she'd heard to date. But given that a few seconds ago she had been convinced of her own impending doom and now she had help, she wasn't about to take issue with Castor's flamboyant greeting. In fact, god help her, she was fighting against a sudden case of the giggles as it seemed that the youma wasn't quite sure what to make of her rescuer either.
"As long as you aren't expecting me to throw any punches with this hand," she replied, "I can still fight."
She eyed the youma who was coming forward again before staring back at Castor.
"Saiph, Senshi of the Primordial, and I hope you have a plan."

He looked at her hand. Then he frowned. He looked at the youma. Then he grinned. "Girls need their hands as much as guys douche bag." The youma snapped it's jaws. It didn't get his meaning. Hell, sometimes, Castor didn't get his own meanings. As the thing examined it's newest prey, Castor kept himself as a shield best he could. "Only plan it to kick it's a**. I call down hail. Other then that, I've got my fists. And legs. Sometimes, they're all you need." The youma kept backing up. "Looks like it'll charge us. What can you do?"
The youma growled, patience wearing thin. "Get ready to move. Just don't take cover the building." He nodded at the building's skeleton. "The bars would hamper my attack, we need it to stay out in the open."
The youma charged.

THe special, blank, 'Did I Just Hear Him Say THAT?' face was back on Saiph. After a moment, she shook herself back to reality and edged to the side, ready to move when the monster did.
"Kicking its a** would be delightful. As for what I can do, it'd take to long to explain Tail Thrash. But if I hit it right, I can send it flying. Maybe break some of its bones."
She nodded her agreement that out in the open was better and watched the youma through narrowed eyes. When it chared, she dodged out of the way, keeping her hurt wrist tucked in close to her body as she dropped and rolled. She needed to make certain that Castor kept out of her line of fire. When she got back into a kneeling position, her free hand found a chunk of broken concrete. Lobbing it at the monster's face, she grinned as it caught the thing right in the tip of its snout.

He had jumped to higher ground, trying to avoid the youma, and give himself well... The higher ground. It also unintentionally, freed up the battle space. "Here, youma, youma, youma-" Right now, he had the thing's attention. So far so- 'Bonk' would have been the sound the rock made had life been a cartoon. Sadly life was not a cartoon and Castor was deprived of that 'bonk' noise he wanted to hear. It did have an effect though. Got the youma's attention to change to Siaph. Who it was nowing running for.
"Shi- SAIPH! Stinging Storm!" The hail came down hitting the monster, but not killing it. The desired result had been archived. It stopped the monster from getting to close to Castor's fellow suited warrior.

Well, that hadn't exactly been the effect she'd wanted. She'd really hoped for more of a pained, pausing sort of reaction. Not a "HEY LET'S CHARGE" one. She heard Castor's yell as she turned to run, heard the sound of hail striking the monster and keeping it from completing its rush at her. Now, she could use her attack without worrying about Castor getting caught up in it. But given that she wasn't sure what it would do to the skeletal building or the construction equipment, she wasn't keen to try. Still.
She ran and leapt, landing atop one of the bulldozers. Kneeling on its roof, she peered over to Castor. Her face was thoughtful, as if calculating odds. At least he wouldn't in the the direct path.
Standing, she brought her arm up and swung it as if letting go of a leash.
"Tail Thrash!"
It was too much to hope that the youma would fall over dead, but maybe it would make the thing a little more cautious of a straight attack.

One good thing about construction sites: s**t can fall.
Saiph's attack sent the youma flying into a pile of large concrete slabs, which, due to the laws of gravity, toppled over and onto the thing before it could claw it's way out.
Castor winced as he saw the black slime seep through the cracks as the dust cleared. Looking back to Saiph he made a wolf whistle. "Sexy and deadly. I like that. You okay though?" He hopped down, making a face as he landed in some of the oozing remains.

Hopping down, she gently massaged her wrist, wincing a little at the ache. Well, since it didn't make her want to scream, she decided it probably wasn't broken so much as cracked. She could handle cracked.
Now the wolf whistle and the 'compliment' that followed it, she wasn't quite as sure about. Okay, sexy she could handle. She didn't like the deadly part. And she really didn't like that Castor was that close to the youma when she couldn't be sure if it was really dead or just really hurt.
"I'm okay, I think. But please be careful over there. Knowing my luck, that slime will end up turning you into you creepy alien oil host like the one from X-Files."
She went a tiny bit closer, nose wrinkling in distaste at that slime. So gross.
"Are you all right?" she asked, feeling as if she should since he'd come to her rescue.

"X-files? Wrong person to talk to." Castor hadn't watched it as a kid. Or as a teen. Or now. The joke went over his head like a badly tossed brick. Maybe that was how girls felt when they hung out with him sometimes. "But if it isn't dead, we can pull a p***y move and run away. Which while a move for pussies, can and will save your life, sadly." He looked at his shoes, wincing at the slime that had begun to sink into the earth. "God, so ******** nasty."
Back to looking at her. Well, her chest mostly. "What? Oh yeah, fine." God they looked real. He'd HAVE to try and get a feel. Just one. "But what about you? Your wrist hurt? Anything else? Anything that I might be able to check?" Cue his eyebrow wiggle. He'd been practicing again. He needed more on site experience to see if it worked.

Saiph ignored the direction his eyes were taking for a moment for more practical matters. She really didn't like the idea of running away, but she also didn't like the idea of staying and being shredded if it were still alive. Dilemma-chu, I choose you!
"How can we tell if it's really dead? Poke it with a stick?"
She walked around the rubble, nose wrinkling further. God, this was beyond gross. No wonder youma were so ******** up if this slime s**t was what they had for blood.
"Hmm? I think it's cracked a bit, but I've got some ice and a wrist brace at home. No other injuries unless you count some bruises," she answered somewhat distractedly. She was trying very hard to not laugh at the eyebrow waggling. It was unkind, but she couldn't help it. "And no, nothing you need to check."
She crossed her arms a little self-consciously over her chest, privately thinking that Castor was going to end up burning a hole through her uniform as hard as he was staring.
"You can however, help make sure I get home in one piece. Provided Ugly there is really dead."

Looking at her, then at the rubble pile, then back at her, Castor grinned. It was a 's**t-eating-grin'. Walking in the bile that was youma blood, (which was evaporating, making it smell like sunshine and a sewer), Castor lifted up one large piece of rock. This rock dripped slime and a little piece of something fell from it.
Castor was fine not knowing what that piece of something was.
"Yup. I'd call it dead. if not, we'll know in a day or two and just have this boss fight again. Sometimes, I wonder if the negaverse has the cheat codes to life." They did not, and while he guessed as much, the idea of them hitting a reset button each time a youma got killed irked him. After all, THEY got pet monsters...He just got pants, (which he loved and would love forever). Still, monsters were slightly cooler than pants in many cases.
Only slightly.
"So, dead thing is dead. Sexy senshi is saved. All in a day's work. Or night's work but, really." He walked back to Saiph, holding out his arm. "I hope I will be getting the full bedroom tour for this escort service." He did another eyebrow wiggle. It almost worked the first time...

Saiph laughed. She couldn't help it. The idea of a big reset button for monsters combined with the eyebrow waggle did her in. Fortunately for all involved it was obvious that this was a slightly hysterical, I-am-laughing-WITH-you-not-at-you bray.
"I wouldn't get your hopes up too far, boyo," she replied. "My room's a disaster zone and my aunt's room is off limits due to there being some things in this world that would be too ******** weird. I am, however, willing to possibly crack open her liquor cabinet and send you home with one of the bottles of good s**t that she will never miss."
Taking his arm, she gave it a grateful squeeze. And started thinking. It was doubtful that anyone would see them walking out and across town to her front door. But why take the chance on some beat cop seeing a pair of "terrorists" out strolling.
"You know, I think I've done enough hero-ing for tonight," she murmured before concentrating and de-powering as they walked. There was no question in her mind of whether Castor could be trusted or not with seeing her civilian self. He'd helped her and he was a senshi. That was enough. Then, Gabbie reached up to her hair and pulled it out of its bun, shaking her head. "Much better. Hey, thanks again, Hero Guy."

Castor gave Saiph a dopey grin. Ha! He could make her laugh. "Booze is always awesome. If anything, it'll numb the pain of my broken heart of sweet Saiph." Cue sweeping bow and- "Gabbie?" Almost immediately Castor powered down. Elzo Xanis stood in Castor's place jaw slack. "I'm not sure this is awesome or if this is awkward as hell." He was pink in his cheeks. "God, now I feel all emasculated. And here I wanted to think I was some manly man hero and it turns out my prom date is more badass then me." He did give a small chuckle. "Ah well." Shrugging Elzo rolled his shoulders back. "I'm still up for free booze and a prom night. Not in that order...Unless you want to go to prom drunk?" A tiny brow quirked, as if it was a serious offer.

"E-Elzo?", Gabbie's jaw went equally slack. Then, blushing to the roots of her hair, she tried to wave away any thoughts of badassery.
"I'm not that.. I mean I... oh hell," she began to laugh softly at herself. Elzo as Sailor Castor was going to take some getting used to. After a moment's thought, she gave a small nod.
"Free booze and prom sounds excellent. However, I may end up splitting the good s**t with you tonight. Aunt'll never miss it and frankly, we both need a boost. And I think going to Prom drunk might be a bad idea."
She was smiling when she said it, as if the idea amused her, but the thought of consequences didn't. Laughing ruefully this time, she gently tugged on Elzo's arm, taking the lead home.
