A field that is open and wide with a field of grass growing out as the day was bright and warm. A semicircle of tree's lined up behind a group of dummies as they were at least five stories high. The dummies were arranged in a 3x5 arrangement as they were to practice any basic Kidō. Clouds overhung above them in the sky waiting for the disruption of two people.

Genji entered the practice grounds, all smiles. He saw that his student had already arrived. From the notes he received on the student, he knew that this man was a third seat, so Genji assumed that he was quite capable.
"Good morning, Tsuin-san," said Genji kindly with a bow. "I am Genji Kazemaru. I shall be your instructor today. From what I have read, you wish to learn Hado #11 and Bakudo #21, correct? Excellent, shall we begin?"

"Yes, let us begin our lesson, however I request one thing. Call me just Kasen." Kasen said as Genji was a quick talker and making him confused as he was talking like a person in a rush. "What shall we start with today Genji-san?" Kasen asked in a calm tone as he hadn't been taught Kidō lately. Kasen held his hands by his side observing Genji while looking at the area around him.

Genji smiled. He could tell that he spoke too quickly, but he often couldn't help but talk quickly when he was excited. Wanting to be called by his first name did take Genji aback, but he was fine with having things more casual.
"Alright then, Kasen-san," said Genji with a chime in his tone. "You have asked for two spells. Both of which I don't find to be too difficult for you to master. I believe that starting with Hado #11 would be best. Give me a moment."
Genji wore a backpack, which contained a few tools for the training session. He set it down on the ground and unzipped the bigger pocket. After a second of rummaging, he retrieved a teddy bear that had a long string wrapped around its waist. He stood up and let the bear drop to the ground while still gripping the string.
"Here we go!" chimed Genji. "For this Kido, you will learn to focus your reiatsu into an object and control the flow of it through the object. In this case, it's a string. Concentrate your reiatsu and direct it along the string. I will demonstrate."
Genji's hand glowed emerald green. "Hado #11 Tsuzuri Raiden!" Green electricity shot through the string and struck the bear. In less than a second, the bear explode, scattering fluff on the grass.
"Now it's your turn. If you need to try a couple of times, I brought plenty of teddy bears for you to practice on."

Kasen smiled as he watched Genji unzip a backpack and then he noticed that it was full of teddy bears which made him wonder what kind of person Genji was. Kasen noticed that these teddy bears were on strings which Genji dropped the bear and held onto the string. Suddenly he watched as Genji had chanted the kidō, causing an unnatural green spark to run down the strings and damaged the teddy bear on contact.
Kasen was then told it was his turn, which he gladly stepped forward to attempt the kidō. Taking a teddy bear out of the backpack Kasen held onto the string with a semi-strong grip as the teddy bear floated lightly above the ground. "Hadō #11, Tsuzuri Raiden!" Kasen chanted as his hand glowed dark purple for a moment as his reiatsu was sent off his hand in the form of electricity however the current wasn't along the string and instead struck the string causing a backlash of energy.
"Looks like I need to focus on making sure the electric current goes along the string rather than just sending it downward..." Kasen said as he attempted once more as he took out another bear to try again. "Hadō #11, Tsuzuri Raiden!" Kasen chanted once more as his hand glowed ominously dark purple as electricity ran down the string, this time it reached the teddy bear with a slight zapping sound as the bear exploded. However, the bear was still mostly in contact with only small singe where the electricity met the bear.

Kasen picked up the two separate pieces of the bear as he studied why it was split in half then exploding directly. The he noticed that the thin layer of fluff where he the string could have cut through had been burnt, yet everything underneath wasn't even touched. Kasen figured that he had sent his reiatsu through the string, and the electricity followed but only exploded on contact, but only around the string.
Kasen put down the destroyed bear with slight care as he took out another teddy bear to try the kidō once more. "Hadō #11, Tsuzuri Raiden!" Kasen chanted as the usual effect happen, dark reiatsu surrounded Kasen's hand for a moment as bright yellow electricity shot downward towards the teddy bear as it suddenly met the bear's waist and exploded as fluff flew everywhere, but the bear's head was in contact as it flew onto the ground. "Looks like I got it, just need to practice more, and use bigger targets to see difference with actual targets..." Kasen thought as he had analyzed this technique from his three uses, however he still needed to know its effect on hollows, fellow shinigami, and other targets to differentiate between them.
Kasen looked at Genji for a moment and began a question to the person. "Genji-san, why is it that your electricity is green, while mine is yellow?" Kasen asked as he noticed when Genji had used the Kidō, his reaitsu was green and his electricity was the exact same color, however when Kasen attempted his the reiatsu of his came out, but the electricity was the common yellow.

Genji pondered Kasen's question. He also pondered the look Kasen gave him earlier when he saw the teddy bears in his backpack. Surely, he was just imagining it.
"I believe my reiatsu is a little different," Genji said innocently. "I've seen it before. Kido can come out in color of the user's reiatsu from time to time. Who did I see do that again? The name escapes me." Genji looked up at the sky for help remembering. "Oh well. Sorry about that, I tend to ramble. We have one more Kido today, Kasen-san. This one is actually quite different from the last one. While Hado #11 required stricter concentration to make the reiatsu travel in a direction, this next Kido, Bakudo #21, requires the user to simply release a built up amount of kido in the form of smoke. Since it's a smokescreen meant to enshroud you, aim isn't a factor at all. I believe it will be simpler for you. I will demonstrate."
Genji built up his reiatsu into his right hand. "Hado #21 Sekienton!" Genji's hand smack the ground. It was like he pressed a button because when he touched the ground, thick, dark smoke erupted from out of nowhere and masked Genji completely.
"As you can see," Genji said with an added chuckle from within the smoke, "it is quite potent." Genji stepped out of the smoke and smiled. "Now it's your turn."
((2 posts please. I'm sorry if this is wierd for you. My character is a sweet guy with some fun quirks. I don't know what your character is like, but I hope he and Genji have gotten off on the right foot. redface ))

Kasen listened to Genji's explanation as he was now smiling as the kidō was basically the same as his his own technique, however his had only a single step more than creating the bakudō. "Gather reiatsu." Kasen thought as he began gathering reiatsu into his left hand, as he reached a point he chanted. "Bakudō #21, Sekienton!" Kasen touched the ground with his hand and created a light, white smoke which barely masked Kasen as this technique was different than his own.
Kasen studied the difference between his ability, and the kidō to figure out why it was different. "My arrow needs to form a solid state as it gathers reiatsu, then it explodes upon contact while this kidō just gathers reiatsu and explodes." Kasen waved his hand around to wave the smoke away as it was hurting his lungs slightly. Kasen built up reiatsu into his hand once more as he chanted. "Bakudō #21, Sekienton!" Kasen struck the ground as a large puff of smoke exploded as the reiatsu converged into this new smoky form. The smoke was big, however it wasn't as thick or as large as Genji's, but to Kasen it was close enough.

Kasen gathered reiatsu into right hand as he tried to create a large enough smoke cover to cover his very presence. Kasen once again chanted as enough reiatsu had been built up in his hand. "Bakudō #21, Sekienton!" A large burst of smoke suddenly came out and surrounded Kasen and Genji as Kasen noticed something as he smiled from achieving the Bakudō, his right hand had produced better results while his left hand was shaky on creating smoke. Kasen however wasn't one to believe something once it came to his own mind. Kasen unsheathed his zanpakuto and sliced the air to create a small vacuum to allow smoke to dissipate. "I have it down, but I just need to make sure on something." Kasen told Genji as he began building up reiatsu into his left hand.
His hand glowed slightly with the reiatsu being stored and growing increasingly. Kasen brought his hand down the ground with slight authority as he chanted the Bakudō once more. "Bakudō #21, Sekienton!" The smoke rose upward as it began forming out of his hand which made Kasen sure his right hand had produced better results than his left hand. "Well, I just need to practice both a bit, but I have it down. Anything else Genji-san?" Kasen said with a smile as he hadn't heard of this person before, but he was nice enough to teach Kasen Kidō.

Genji smiled anc clapped at Kasen's success.
"Well done, Kasen-san," Genji said joyfully. "I can see that those two Kido are well under your belt. They should prove to be very useful to you in the future. I can't think of anything else that you need. Those were the only two Kido on your request, and you certainly got those under control. If you would like more training, come by anytime and drop a request, and I'll teach you more." Genji winked sweetly and then bowed respectfully to his student. "It was a pleasure meeting you, Kasen-san. I hope to see you again someday."

Kasen bowed to Genji as he spoke in a slightly joyful, yet calm tone. "Well Genji-san, I hope our paths cross once more in the future, and hopefully it will be of friends than student and teacher." Kasen said with a smile as he turned slightly before raising a hand and began shaking it. "Farewell Genji-san, may your future be full of happiness." Kasen said as he walked away from the area as he began his walk away.
