I really enjoy wiccatogether.com but I believe you have to be over eighteen to join. The age limit is not because of bad things within the site, it's just to ensure a certain amount of maturity.

As for books, well one of the first books I read was Animal Speak by Ted Andrews and I found it rather insightful and Grimoire for the Green Witch by Ann Moura really covers the basics.

One of my favorite books: Sun Signs by Linda Goodman.

My first book about the Craft was The Complete Idiot's guide to Wicca and Witchcraft. It sounds kind of redneck and bogus, but it was actually very informative and it really helped me out.

Those books do, at the very least, give you some of the basics.

I'm getting ready to read the Egyptian Book of the Dead. Should be a great read.

I like THIS SITE! Godchecker seems to be full of crap sometimes with it's lack of information or variation on myths that were usually rewritten anyhow.

It's funny too... Because some other Gods. They have like, pages and pages of detailed information.

But, if you are the adventurous kind and just want a short basic summary of what the God is like. Then, you are going to call that God to you and see what they are like.

^The youthful and ignorant approach.

But yeah, pretty much if you want a short summary of a God before doing some cautious research to decide if the god shod even be bothered with. It's a pretty decent site.

Definitely one of those, take it with a grain of salt things.

That's why I always search the biggest city close to me, rather than my actual town.

I'm not a huge fan on Cunninghams books that focus on witchcraft. They aren't bad, I just feel like he reiterates most of his information into his other books. However, his books that deal with things such as herbs are really good.
