Has anyone read this trilogy by Elizabeth Chandler? It's something of a childhood favorite with me. One of those series that I can honestly say that I have read repeatedly (something that doesn't happen much now because I keep wanting to read new things and end up neglecting favorite reads). I was crying when I read these books... yes, I admit it that I was crying!
For those who are unfamiliar with the books, here is a short summary~~
Ivy is a dreamer who has always believed in angels and is terrified of the water where she nearly drowned as a child. She finds herself falling in love with the handsome down-to-earth Tristan who agrees to teach her how to swim and it seems like a match made in heaven. Then suddenly Tristan dies in a car accident and Ivy loses her faith in angels and is unable to sense that Tristan has returned as an angel to protect her from the terrible danger closing in around her and those she cares for most.

I haven't read it, but I will. It sounds really good. I've got to finish all my Christmas books first, though.

They won't take long to finish once you do get around to reading them. ^_^ I should time myself the next time I decide to indulge them since I am a much faster reader than I was eleven years ago.

I read pretty fast, but I have a problem. I forget about most of the books that I've read! If I try to read slower, my mind wanders, and then I don't even remeber reading the last page. I need a solution. crying

I don't think I could part with these books ever. Too many pleasant memories attached. Not many books can make me burst into tears.

I recently completed that book. I loved the way the author involved a ghost/angel it in, yet it wasn't dripping with religion. heart

For anyone who does know, a follow-up to the trilogy has been released: Evercrossed. It's set a year after the end of Soulmates. I found it to be pretty good. It ends on a cliffhanger, so there could be more books published in the coming years.
Although I suppose dragging something out to go on and on can be a bad thing....
