In this rp there are tons of predators that would not minding having a snack on a small rodent or critter that would dare venture in too far (or at least what I rp). Anyone is allowed to come in, but be warned some might seem friendly, where others may not. It all depends on which animal you run into. Please enjoy your stay.

There was a pale red coyote that made her way through the woods. How long would it be before she could find her next meal. She crouched down low studying the squirrels movements. She slowly made her way a bit closer before making the leap and killing the squirrel. She munched away happily on her meal. No coyotes had challenged her in a while, which sort of made her happy. Maybe one day she could get away from all the drama of having to get things out of others.

After stretching his muscles, a dark red and black coyote scanned the area. He had just come to this place, with its darkened floor and little sun coming through the canopy in some spots. Raush liked it here, especially since it was quiet. Twitching his ears to pick up any sound, the male padded through the clustered trees.
The faint sound of feet crunching on the soft grass made him pause. Was that a predator's step or that of prey? Crouching, he listened and determined that it was a rabbit. His mouth watered as the small creature came into view. With experienced moves, Raush stalked closer. Once close enogh he charged after it. A flash of pale red came up in his peripheral vision, but his main focus was on his target. With a powerful leap, he landed on the brown form. Before it could squeal, he had broken its neck.
Now he could find out what the red he had seen just moments ago had been. It was a female coyote, finishing up something. It looked like a squirrel. With a mental shrug, the male began to eat his meal.

Lila had just finished her meal and was about to turn around and head back when she saw a dark red male jump out. She hadn't been expecting others in the area, but then again one could never underestimate or overestimate the possibilities that there could be other creatures. She was about to say something, but wasn't sure what to say and didn't want to look like a fool. She studied him for a while before saying something. "Wasn't expecting anyone else out here. My stupidity."

Raush had been peacefully eating his meal, when the other coyote began to talk to him. Lifting his head, he looked at her through narrowed eyes. "Guess so," his voice was a low growl. Returning to finishing the slain rabbit, he hoped the female would get the warning and leave him alone.

Lila raised an eyebrow. Who did this male think he was? He had just barged into her territory and was acting like he owned the place. She lightly growled under her breath. "Well I won't make that mistake again." She looked around the area just incase there were more coyotes that were out to get her. She was a bit nervous now that one coyote had sprung into the area perhaps it was smart not to bug this one, plus she was still hungry. "Well...there's more food deeper in the woods so I'll leave you alone."

Raush sighed, heaving himself onto his paws. "Have fun," he flicked his thick tail dismissively. After giving his fur a good shake to rid himself of any debree, the male turned and began making his way back from the way he'd come. Although he kept walking, Raush didn't know where he was headed. Would he return to his den or explore this unknown territory?

Lila paused for a second she watched him leave wondering why he hadn't tried to attack her like other coyotes would. It didn't make sense. She normally was incredibly lonely out in these parts. If it weren't for her friend Sofie, she would of already have gone completely mad. The pale coyote could smell something burning. She ventured in deeper to see what it was. Eventually when she got there to her surprise there was a fire near the brush before the field. Lila lightly whined to herself. "Gee whiz...why do all the bad things happen to me?" She crouched down before trying to get away from the flames. Unfortunately it was directing her back towards the way that other coyote was heading. She just hoped he didn't notice her since she didn't want to fight. Especially since she was still hungry and tired.

(sorry for not responding in a while. My mind was in a rut for this ^^; )

((Tis alright. I've been neglecting many rps ^^" Trying to get back on track))

Raush had stopped to lap up some cool water from a creek when the scent hit his nose. Lifting his head, the male flared out his nostrils to take in a better sniff. He'd been right. Fire. A dangerous thing in the forest.
The sound of rapid pawsteps hit his senses next. The various animals of this area were scattering, trying to escape the consuming flames. A familiar pale flash of red darted among the vegetation, trying to escape the fire like the rest.
Although he knew it was risky, the male rolled in some mud before walking closer. With his back once again to the fire and the female coyote, he began to dig his paws into the soft and rich soil. Soon his forelegs were churning up the dirt to kick it at the flames. Some was doused, but more always seemed to surge back up again. Lips curled into a grimace, the male continued to try and kill off at least some of the fire.

Lila turned around to see the dark red male trying to put out the fire. For a while she wasn't quite sure what to do. Perhaps it would be best to let him try to douse the flames himself, but it didn't look like there would be any luck. She looked away a bit saddened to think that her home had gotten destroyed by the flames. She then looked determined before going over towards where the male was and doing the same actions. It was tiring for her, especially with the heat. It was then that she had a semi idea. "Where's the closest lake or body of water?"

Raush flicked a suprised glance at the female coyote as she joined him in the digging. For a while, the flames were held back but didn't really go down.
He was panting by this point, but refused to give up. Changing position, he began digging in a new spot as he attempted to douse more of the fire.
"The only water nearby is a creek. But even so, it's a ways away from here to even help this." He growled. It wasn't harsh, just annoyed and not directed at the female. He was more irritated at the fire and how long it was taking to put it out.

Lila gritted her teeth a bit disappointed that her idea would flop. "Darn it! Just like it was back with my family...I'm always useless." She continued to try to put the fire out by chucking dirt onto the fire. She hoped that it would die down. Lila wondered if she could call her familiar to do something to get water, but it was a lot to ask of a fox. Still she wanted to try to get her to help. For a moment she stood still before trying to get in contact with her familiar. One of the only friends she had.

Sofie eventually came running to see Lila surprisngly helping another coyote put out the fire. She cocked her head to the side a bit confused by her actions since normally Lila was not a helping type. Nonetheless she went over to see what she wanted. After being told to help stop the fire she obeyed and started to throw dirt on the fire with Lila.

Raush said nothing as Lila growled out her anger. Soon after, a fox had appeared and began talking with the female coyote. The fire's heat was horribly uncomfortable and sometimes the flames licked at his fur - singeing it in several places.
Pausing in his digging, the male looked at the fire. The three of them had doused a great amount with their digging. Even if they hadn't hit the flames, the dirt coated the trees, shrubs, and other vegetation. This kept much of it from becoming kindling to further feed the fire.
The dark red and black male stood there, panting. His ice-blue eyes flicked to the female coyote and red fox, who was most likely her familiar. They'd helped him a great deal. Now he was indebted to the pair. Nothing was revealed in that pale gaze of his.

Lila eventually told the fox that she could leave. She watched her go before looking a bit sad. "Um...I'm sorry about before. I'm normally not used to being around others and..." She wasn't exactly sure what to say. "Thank you" She looked around. "I know a way to a water source...if it didn't get any ashes in it from the fire."

Raush said nothing at first, but instead looked to the dying fire. His breathing was already beginning to even out, although he could still taste the acrid smoke and the scorched earth and vegetation. Glancing at the female, he sighed. "I should also apologize," he replied. "I'm not used to being in the company of others." The male paused before continuing, "thank you for helping me with the fire." He dipped his head politely to her. Coming from Raush, this was a big deal. He never cared to apologize or show much respect to any other. Still, the female may not understand and Raush didn't mind either way.
