 <MAIN THREAD>  The white book lies open, obscuring the pristine cover inlaid with glimmering geometric shapes in blue glass. A few sentences have been scrawled in one corner with a swooping hand; but the words are no longer legible. The ink has been all but obliterated. It's as if someone held the book tightly and wept over the words it contained.

Now that Avella's a teen, it's time for a rite of passage: her first (part-time) job! (If you're curious about what sorts of businesses are in the town, or would like to suggest some, just ask.)
Does she flip burgers? Wash cars? Walk around with a billboard? How does she get to work, and how does she get along with co-workers? Do her ...unusual... abilities cause any problems there?
