Appearance Description
Black, Black, and yet more black. Enshi likes black. It’s slimming, the color of stealth, and also just so happens to be the color of his hair, and eyes. In fact, that’s the first thing that people notice about Enshi. That everything about him is black, except for his skin, which is pasty white. (In a healthy way, not a vampire way.) Then they notice that when talking about Enshi, “Black eye” doesn’t mean a bruise, it means the pigmentation of his eyes. From his iris to his sclera, everything is black. Apparently this has something to do with his two-fold Kekkei Genkai. Other than his monochromatic approach to style, Enshi usually sticks with the same combination. Cargo pants and muscle shirts. He likes the cargo pants for the extra pockets, and he likes the muscle shirts because they show off the sometimes surprising amount of lean muscles he has. Enshi also likes wearing flack jackets, again because he likes having lots of pockets. He wears his headband ON HIS HEAD, funnily enough.

Personality
Enshi is confident to the point of arrogance, always thinking that he knows what’s best, or that he can’t be beat. At anything. But he’s not immature, he doesn’t throw a tantrum if he loses or gets something wrong, he just gets confused and starts to wonder when he was transported to such a strange parallel universe, since obviously a parallel universe is the only reasonable explanation for how he could be proven wrong. Enshi doesn’t have many friends, most people find him either too arrogant or too hyper-active to stick around long enough to get to know him. In spite of this, Enshi remains cheerful and optimistic, certain that someday, someone will realize just how awesome he really is. Though Enshi seems on the surface like a boy who wouldn’t take his ninja training seriously, he is actually quite the opposite, and can often be found either practicing old techniques, or creating new ones. Mostly because he likes to be able to back up his claims of kick-assery. He’s a pathological liar, but not through any ignorance or malice; he just finds reality boring, and thusly tries to… “improve the truth”. Enshi also happens to be, simply because he felt like picking up the skill, a master of origami.

History
If Enshi were to tell you his story, it would probably end up being some epic saga of how his family was attacked by an army while he was only 2, with the ending involving him being the only survivor after fighting off the entire army. By himself. At the age of 2. With one arm tied behind his back. Blind folded. While hopping on one leg. But since he isn’t the one writing this, I can tell you that, much to Enshi’s chagrin, he had a perfectly normal upbringing. In spite of all his hopes, Enshi’s parents are perfectly normal and love him very much. They’re not even ninjas. They’re just civilians who happen to live in Konoha. His father IS a Kokuen, he just decided not to be a ninja like the rest of his clan (there’s one in every family). That’s why, hoping to escape his Beaver Cleaver upbringing, Enshi chose to enroll in the academy and become a ninja. And the rest, as they say, is history,

Ninjutsu
Smoke release: Bad Breath Jutsu
Level: Genin
Type: Ninjutsu
The user inhales while gathering chakra within their lungs, before breathing out a cloud of purple smoke. The cloud is usually about 2 feet in diameter, but can vary. Pursing the lips, for example, will (because of the increased pressure of the exhaled breathe) extend the cloud further, but also make it narrower. The smoke generated by this technique is usually toxic, but also capable of working as a sedative/tranquilizer. Due to the fact that this jutsu creates a relatively small cloud, it will usually, for maximum effectiveness, be used when the user is near their opponent’s face.

Kekkei Genkai (Clan Specialty)
Smoke Release: The Kekkei Genkai of the Kokuen Clan is the Smoke Release. Apparently a combination of Fire and Wind Releases, the Smoke release allows Kokuens to manipulate preexisting smoke as well as create their own brand of particularly noxious fumes. The Kokuens have a natural resistance to the toxicity of any kind of smoke, and can breath freely in their own, or artificial, smoke. However, in spite of this, there is a draw-back to breathing in smoke all day, resistance or no. Older Kokuens tend to find themselves developing devastating lung conditions such as the black lung, or lung cancer. In fact, older Kokuens often take up smoking as a hobby, not only because it provides fodder for their jutsus, but also because the affects of tobacco actually slow down the rather more deadly affects of their Kekkei Genkai. Kokuens have also developed a second facet to their Kekkei Genkai, in their rather unique eyes. Their eyes have a resistance to the irritating effects of smokes and vapors and can be open inside of such irritants without tearing up.

Equipment, Items, Other

Weapons
Though Enshi likes to be prepared, he also dislikes any and all sharp-pointy things. Ever since an accident in his youth involving a kunai that he had been training with, Enshi has been terrified of anything that even looks like it has a sharp edge.(Not that he would never admit it) Because of this, Enshi never uses any ninja tools that have sharp edges or points, instead preferring to use things like paper bombs, flash bangs, and smoke bombs to manipulate his enemies.

Armor
“Armor is for people too slow to dodge!”

Accessories
Well, his head band gives him a +2 to bluff checks… naw, just kidding. It’s actually a +3…

Since he’s a Kokuen, Enshi carries around 100 smoke bombs on him at all times, in order to help fuel his jutsu. They are of the following types.

Normal (50) : These detonate upon impact with something, and create 10 x 10 x 8 ft clouds that last for 3 turns.

Small (50) : These can be detonated by being crushed while they are held, or by impacting with something. They create 1.5 x 1.5 x 1.5 ft clouds that last for 1 turn. They are also much quieter than normal smoke bombs, allowing Enshi to detonate them while still maintaining any stealthy advantage he might have. (These are useful, but less obviously so).

(More varieties of bombs will be added later as Enshi learns different techniques and decides he needs more versatility in his smoke bombs.)

Enshi also usually carries…
x 20 Paper Bombs
x 10 Flash Bangs.
50 ft of metallic wire. (Just in case…)

Miscellaneous
He plays a mean nose flute?

I like him up to the see through smoke part. I can go with it more if his eye are just unaffected by smoke and other such smoke screens.

Not to cause trouble, but why is the seeing-through a problem? It's not like it's a doujutsu on top of the unusual element, he just get's an added advantage while surrounded in smoke, which seems reasonable to me. I'll go ahead and change it of course, I was just wondering if it would be possible to get an explanation for why I need to.

Well to see through the smokescreen like things, might as well just say you have x ray vision. Now I can go along with the ability if it's a jutsu created further along, I just can't agree with it being a Gankai.

But with the change you goo to be in my friend.

I'm gonna have to respectfully disagree on that count. The ability isn't anything like X-ray vision. X-ray vision would allow the user to see through anything, walls, trees, rocks, people, ect. The ability of the Kokuens doesn't allow anything near approaching that kind of versatility. They can see through vapor-like obstructions, nothing more.

The point of a Kekkei Genkai is to provide opportunities for new and interesting takes on ninjutsu, or to increase the strength of preexisting jutsu. That's all this facet of the smoke release does, it allows for more advanced stratagems by allowing the one who has it to see in a situation where their opponent can not. It's isn't the Sharingan, which can be a weapon in and of itself, nor is it the Byakugan, which really does confer X-ray Vision to it's user. In fact, it's such a minor part of the Kokuen's Kekkei Genkai that they haven't even bothered to name it.

Furthermore, it's not like it's an incongruous ability, which real X-ray vision would be. Entire generations of Kokuens have spent their lives manipulating, working in, and wielding smoke, it seems only reasonable that after some time they would develop a second genetic mutation that makes such practices easier. It stands to reason. A species that lives in the dark evolves a way of seeing in the dark, whether by echolocation or the natural night vision that cats and similar animals have, it will happen, so why is it wrong to assume the same thing would happen to ninja's who spend a great deal of their time in the midst of smoke clouds? Especially when you consider the fact that they already have a preexisting kekkei genkai. Kekkei Genkais themselves prove that such mutations exist, so it doesn't make sense to me that I would have to limit my creativity because my kekkei genkai seems like "X-ray vision"

again, I don't mean to cause trouble, it just doesn't make sense to me.

No no Negotiations are just a process of two views coming to a compromise.

Your statement on evolution is right, however the creatures you depicted live in a world with minor light. Your clans ability removes that for a darkness for cover. Through evolution your clan would in theory would adapt to the senses that move away form the eyes and nose due to the smoke. Hearing would be one since it wouldn't be effected by the smoke particles.

Now I could also follow with you if the eyes were non effected by the smoke while others that have not lived in the smoke would tear up. Not that they see more, but are more natural to remain open.

Things like smoke and fog are also physical objects. They are not illusions that are in you mind. So what in truth what you depicting really is x-ray vision.

Take the fight with Zabuza, someone who used the mist as his main use while attacking. He couldn't see through the mist, but had superior hearing.

umm, ok. Personally, I'd like it if I could keep the ability, but your arguments are valid and it's not like the loss will hamstring my character, he still has the rest of the Kekkei Genkai after all.

I'll go ahead and change it, just not right now. I'm too tired.

Like i said earlier, the ability to pear through can become a jutsu in itself. So your not forbidden from having the x ray thing, it just needs to be learn/taught which means I'm going to have to update the learning jutsu system quicker.

Smoke Clone Jutsu
Level: Genin
Type: Ninjutsu
Smoke clones are essentially the same as any other elemental clone. The user simply molds smoke into a clone of them self. When struck with enough force, Smoke Clones disperse into a cloud of smoke in a way similar to shadow clones, except that the smoke generated is purple, poisonous, and lingers much longer than the smoke from shadow clone.

looks good, however i can only approve it. Tsunade, Shikimaru, or Kakashi are allowed to asign the missions or events.

Bout the only thing I can sign off of a self training.
