I just got my little paws o nthe latest issue of Game Informer. Inside was an article on Fable 3. One of the screenshots showed a sort of warehouse, inside, was an array of apparently steam driven mechanisms.
This is going to ROCK!!!

Zahmen II Decal is just decal if the game isn't any good. True, still, atmosphere is part of it. Damnation should have taught us a good deal.

I am definitely going to get my hands on Fable 3, steam-powered addition or not. Fable is one of my all-time favourite games!

Calcephony I am definitely going to get my hands on Fable 3, steam-powered addition or not. Fable is one of my all-time favourite games! Indeed. Sir Peter does people right by that series. When I read the phrase "Metal war machines" in a previous issue of GI, I figured it was going this way.

I too have been a loyal follower of the Fable franchise. I admit some of the faults of the series (briefness of the main storyline, ease of the overall game, f@#$ing glitches up the yin), but none of them prevent me from falling in love with the games. I bought a 360 almost solely for Fable 2. I could tell I liked the direction they were going with the series when 2 came out and the era had changed from a "middle ages" fantasy to a "colonial/pre-industrial" game, and I'm so excited that they're exploring steampunk/industrial in the next game. Can't wait to see more of it.

I had a feeling Fable 3 was going towards being somewhat steampunk.

Foghlaidh I had a feeling Fable 3 was going towards being somewhat steampunk. Giving that Fable 2 had lots of clockwork stuff, it seems logical.

Wa wa wee wa! I played a bit of Fable 1 on Xbox (I still have it, just never bothered to get very far) and I pretty much ignored Fable 2 entirely, but this, THIS... I could get into! mrgreen

This development is fitting since Fable 2 went into the era of clockwork.
