The scene:

A dark, foggy night in Destiny City's shipping district--the fog had rolled in early, thick. It brought also a chilly, clammy temperature somewhat high for the season but low for the recent weather, and clouds to cover over the sky. This change in the predicted weather, somewhat abnormal but still expected (weathermen weren't omnipotent) brought on several ill effects, the most relevant of these being the causation several schoolgirls intending to check out this 'hip dance club' to decree the area was 'way too creepy' to run off into the night.

Night, here defined as 'the open and welcoming arms of a human-dressed alien named Ilie, who had no qualms at pulling a Cardian and ending their pathetic lives'.

She tucked the card back into her jacket and glanced down at the bodies around her feet. Well, that was a beneficial arrangement, at least for her. Maybe someone would find that one little girl in time to actually do something to save her life? Ilie shrugged, shoved her disgusting peachy hands into her pockets and walked out of the alleyway. Soon enough she would find more prey. That tended to be how Destiny City worked, anyway...

Behind her, a pair of shadowy figures ducked into the alleyway she'd just vacated. She didn't notice.

A few feet away, Sailor Pegasus watched as her teammate crouched by one of the bodies, a look of measured displeasure setting the mood for her stance. Gloved arms were folded tightly across her chest, and she turned her head away, staring off into the brick wall, not moving to help MuCephei check to see if the girls were dead. She had seen things of this nature before. Normally, bodies like this meant their starseeds were gone. Some people died instantly, but it was not uncommon for some to linger, comatose, their body not getting the hint that it was trying to keep a lifeless shell alive. They wouldn't last long.

After a moment, the senshi of dreams returned her attention back to her friend, frown deepening at the shake of the other senshi's head. Her eyes turned unbidden to the face of the victim, and she tightened her grip on her forearm. But it was the nod that really surprised her. Glancing to where Mu was pointed, Pegasus gave a sharp nod, edging into the shadows, moving in that direction.

That was odd... he rather thought knew that hat, he knew that COAT. That... that green skinned -thing- that had sent that Mantis-monster after them!!

He approached cautiously down the street, who or what was she talking to? He couldn't tell.
Well, if she was a civilian maybe he could just take her starseed. If it was HER again... well maybe he'd just take her starseed too. No sense in arguing when actions would speak louder in regards to his distaste for the pervious events.

"Excuse me..." He called to her. "Pardon me, do you happen to have the Time?"

The shadow moved along the buildings, dancing off the bricks before disappearing out of sight for a moment. Pegasus followed the shapeless figure as best she could from the shadows, taking no chances in who it might be that had attacked the group of girls -- for all she knew, it could have been a dozen lieutenants, or worse, a Captain or two. That would just make their day, no wouldn't it. Shifting slightly against a wall, the super senshi glanced out from behind the corner she had hid herself behind, eying the two figures that stood below the fish monger's sign.

That... looked like a lieutenant uniform.

The other figure, a girl, by the looks of it, seemed to see something just then and spoke up, and the senshi of dreams pressed back further into her hiding spot, glancing over her shoulder as MuCephei joined her. The sound of her name brought only a weak shrug and a shake of her head. What to do, or what not to do? That was the question.

"Hey!"

Stepping out from behind the bar, Sailor Pegasus narrowed her eyes at the boy she had judged to be the culprit.

"Pick on someone your own size."

Ugh, it was the ugly boy from the other night. Well... that wasn't fair. They were all ugly, merely by virtue of being human. Didn't he have any other clothes? Pants that were his size?

...Were they defending her? Ilie looked from the pair of girls to the midget, tapping her fingers on one side of her face. Recognition dawned as MuCephi stepped into view, and she smiled.

"Senshi," Ilie breathed, and she pulled a card out of her pocket. Her flute came to her other hand as if by magic. Two girls, so the best would be--Damn it, she hated this Cardian!

Moving quickly, she threw the card into the air and played Edtard to life. Figuring she'd be pretty safe as the Cardian did its work, she dropped the human disguise and rose into the air to hover a few feet over the group's heads.

The pallid beauty appeared in heartbeat, and surely caused many a heart to beat a bit quicker. With a sigh he lifted his sad, soulful, brooding, deep, mysterious eyes, sighing again when he saw the people around him. Couldn’t they see he was tired? Did they not care that he was oh so very lonely? Why couldn’t everyone leave him to his bittersweet suffering! It was better that way.

Knowing that no one would ever understand the true depths of his endless anguish, much less take pity on his poor, unloved soul, Edtard sullenly turned his intriguing, breathtaking, perfect, amber eyes to the one who had summoned him, clearly awaiting his orders. After all, no one appreciated him, or his pure, pale, perfect body, so what else could he hope for? A bit of kindness or respect would be too much for one such as him to ask for, so instead he would do the best of could with the heavy burden of the shackles and chains of slavery and loneliness. Oh, woe was he!

“ Ed…”

Ilie stared down at the Cardian, then sighed. God, it was like staring at some kind of animated statue.

"Kill them, Ed," she said, twining her hair around her fingers. "Drain them dry, just like those in the alley."

With a roll of her eyes, Ilie beckoned Edtard forward. This one took some encouragement, but the results--two out of three isn't bad--of his pheromones seemed... promising. Skin faintly glittering, he approached the group, his topaz eyes glimmering with the promise of unshed tears. His body, like a marble statue, looked especially alluring under the orange glow of a streetlight. He reached out to draw Zinkenite into his arms, bent his head as if to bite...
