It was supposed to help her.
And yet, Eve had never used it; save for testing it out after the senshi meeting. The pink and green phone lay in one of her drawers, neglected and almost forgotten. It didn't work well for her, simply because she was part of the Zodiac Court, the Court which Astraea had said the phones did not work for. Why then, did she still possess one? Eve was surprised it hadn't already fallen apart in her hands, but didn't bother to use it. Besides, she had only managed to scan a few senshi at the meeting, and even so, sometimes when she attempted to call up her phonebook, the screen got fuzzy.
Today however, she was exceptionally bored and lying on her bed, waiting for Rea to come back so she could hound her and fit in a conversation. Being exceptionally bored as Eve was, it was inevitable that she soon got up to roam around the room and paw through her things.
It was then she came across her senshi cellphone once again, and the cat face on the cover blinked up at her. Eve picked it up, looked at it and sighed. How did Astraea expect her to use it when it was faulty in her hands?
Little did Eve know that this problem would too pose a problem for other senshi. Especially a certain one trying to track her down.

******** ******** WELL ******** YOU TO FLORA"
He'd been trying to call her for well over an hour, after he had found himself with yet another romantic dilemma. The desire for advice had long since faded and Castor had for a while, debated about just going and hunting her down the old fashion way. But no.
He was going to use this phone.
HE WOULD USE THIS PHONE IF IT KILLED HIM. Gloved fingers dailed her yet again.
"FLORA PICK THE ******** UP."
He started to hate the phone.

It was either Eve had no idea the phone was working, or that it hadn't gotten through. In reality, it was the latter; there was no buzz or vibration or any peep of a sound coming from her phone while she was holding it at the time Castor was attempting to call her.
It took a few tries on Castor's end before Eve even heard the ringtone coming from her phone and jumped, unsurprisingly. She hadn't expected anyone to call her, since the Zodiac Court could not use it, and Rea was still being cold and absolutely silly about that matter. When the blonde flipped open the phone warily, the screen blinked at her, telling her that Super Sailor Castor was on the other end.
Huh.
She pressed a button to pick up and held it up to her ear. "What's up?" Except on Castor's end, it probably sounded like, "Hissssssss... What's....SSSSSS... up?" Perhaps he had gotten through this time, but that was a considerable amount of static.

"FLORA? Oh thank god." Castor sighed. Finally, something. "I've been trying to call you for a while. You alright? Half the time the phone just shuts down. I called, need some advice. Help. Just, wanted to talk. Flora are you there?" He looked at his phone, as if glaring at it would make it work.
"Flora? Can you hear me? God, ******** phone."

"My phone hates me." She informed him, but wasn't sure if he could hear that. Siggghhh, she should have known that of all people, Castor would be the one abusing his phone, or in his own words, making use of it like how Astraea had asked them to. Eve would have gone on to elaborate, but her phone would probably try to hang up on the conversation. Why couldn't he use his normal phone anyway?
"I'll explain later, come to my dorm room." Eve yelled into the phone as she started hearing the hissing noise on her end as well.
Now that was really getting annoying.

Eve. Dorm room. This was alllllll Castor needed to hear. (It was all he could hear from the static of the phone before the call dropped...again.) Bouncing like he was on cocaine to Crystal, Castor practically jumped to her window. This was met his the thought of 'Oh. Senshi form. Right.'
Power down. Throw a pebble from bushes. get no reaction? Throw a rock. "Eve. Eve is Elzo. Can I come in?"
He was sure he had the right window.
80% sure at least.

It was after the phone decided to hang up that Eve sighed, then promptly realized that Elzo didn't exactly know where her dorm room was. Well, unless he had stopped to stalk her when he had walked her back to Crystal back then, but then, how else...
With this in mind, the girl went to the window and opened it, sticking her head out to make sure he wouldn't go to the wrong one. If he did, he would probably get screams and reports in return... and he had also probably gotten those before. Sigggghhhh.
"Over here!" She said, waving a hand at where he was. Luckily the window he had thought was hers was only a few away from her, and even more luckily, it looked like the occupants of the room were out.

"Oh." He dropped the larger rock he was about to throw. "My bad." Elzo, not the most forward thinking of his time. Walking to the window casually, he didn't seem to fazed about getting caught. "..." He gave Eve his best puppy dog look.
"Can I come in? I promise not to steal panties." For himself. He didn't say he wouldn't steal panties for his brother. Who would be horrified and call Eve later and promise to pay her back. Elzo could just see it happening in his head like a bad movie reel.
"Can I PLEASE come inside?" He made a bigger puppy face. It was more of a pathetic face. "I REALLY need to talk to you."

"You would have broken a window with that." She said to him with a sharp glare. And set off alarms, where he would probably be chased off campus, but never mind, that wasn't the problem now. At least he hadn't thrown it.
At least.
"Get up here then." Eve said resignedly after a moment of silence. "And just an FYI, next time you want to reach me, call my regular cellphone?" Her senshi cellphone had been shut into one of her locked drawers yet again, and would probably, hopefully, never be taken out.

Elzo didn't care so much if he broke a window or two. Heck, a broken window might make crystal increase secur-oh. Maybe breaking windows was a bad idea. Either way, the rock was abandoned for some other late light attention getter, and the Xanis boy was more then happy to climb into the room.
"So, this is the room Marlo failed to steal panties from and felt the shame of a thousand sand filled vaginas beating down upon him?" Elzo was grinning. "Seems nice. Smells like flora." Elzo Xanis, his wit was not wit so much as it was mental retardation half the time.
"But yeah. Talking. You'll be happy to know my love life is officially, on the rocks." Not that it wasn't before.
"I helped kill a lieutenant." Wait. What- "Who was Lina's friend." Castor looked genuinely sad. "Somewhat my own friend too."
Elzo, impatient as ever.

"It wasn't that bad." Eve told him reproachfully, whacking the back of his head lightly. "I have to admit that him choosing to ask me to prom was pretty... hilarious at the time." But at least she had said yes, right? After having a good little giggle of course. "And the smell is the courtesy of your brother; I get flowers from him almost every day." The blonde grinned. "But I'm not complaining."
Elzo, impatient as ever, and... stupid as ever.
Eve only stared in silence, and then sat down with a flump on her bed. "You knew it would come to this eventually." She said quietly. "The moment you fell for her, you knew the consequences."

He sat himself against the window, just in case he needed to jump out at a moment's notice. He eyed the flowers like they stood to mock him. "Told you he would." The flowers just sat idle. Mocking.
"I knew we'd have to fight someday. That... it might have to end." He sounded weak. "But...Eve. I love her. ******** our duty, I'm in love with her." He sounded weak because he was weak. "And now...Now I feel like I'm falling in love with someone else..." He sighed. "And I just don't know anymore."
He looked at Eve like she had answers, even when Elzo knew she didn't.
"NOW AT THIS SAME TIME- I'm falling for this cute, wonderful girl, and yet, Lina is still there. I know I still lover her. I could still make it work, you know? But...Audrey. I'm stuck in the friend zone, so it's not like I'm majority going after her but-" That look. Like Eve held the answer to the universe.
"You're a girl."
Duh.
"When a guy falls in love with two girls, is that 'bad'." He used air quotes.
"And how do you get out of the friend zone?"

"Yes." She said, brushing that topic away entirely. They weren't here to talk about his brother now, they were here to talk about the crazy love s**t Castor had got into.
Again.
"You've said that many times." Eve murmured, but did not bother to be cynical or question how much he loved her anymore, because they had already gone through that. Nor did she need to point out that she didn't like Linarite because she had almost helped to kill her. Elzo didn't need to argue with her right now; she didn't need to argue with him right now.
Although, it was actually quite gratifying to know that at least, he was starting to feel something for a normal girl (even if he did say he still had feelings for Linarite). Perhaps this would be good for him. Perhaps it could make him forget Linarite... huh, she could hope, couldn't she? "I guess." She said with a shrug. "But your situation is different." I.e. I support you going after Audrey and not that blue haired Negaverse t**t, but Eve did not say that out loud. "You're not Archie Andrews, you know."
"Ask her out, court her, give her little gifts, show her you care." She listed off the top of her mind. "Be the one to make her smile. You know... find out what she likes and do your best to impress her. As long as you put in enough effort, she'll be touched." It sounded almost like things that came from a cliche romantic movie, really.
"Like you know, how I really liked the flowers you two filled my room with," never mind the youma that had appeared out of it, "and your brother sends me flowers every day. It really warms my heart."

He looked at her as if she was the insane one. Not him. Because to Elzo falling in love with your enemy was sane. Saying local things ion order to win over a logical girl? INSANITY.
"Eve." He stood, glared at flowers then sat on her bed. Looked at her.
"Eve." Grab by her shoulders, shake slightly. "I am in the friend zone." Elzo stopped shaking and let her go, falling face first into her lap. "You can't just...be romantic in the friend zone. Then you become the creepy friend and then she won't talk to you and if you try to talk to her you're a creeper but if you drop it people will talk." He looked up at her from her lap. "And I'm still in love with Lina. Why do girls have to be so attractive Eve?" He stayed in her lap.
"I think I just have a bluenette fetish."
Silence.
"And who the ******** is Archie Andrews?"

"You asked me how to get out of the friend zone." She said as patiently as she could, patting his head after it fell into her lap. He really was being idiotic and rather confused. "I guess you'll have to find out if she's interested first? The friendship-love thing is kind of icky." But not as icky as love-enemy icky with capital letters peppered by a few exclamation marks to prove the point. "And weren't you considering being interested in Audrey instead?"
Eve was obviously secretly rooting for Audrey in this little love triangle in Elzo's head.
"Well then, you'd better not go after Elke." She retorted, the other girl being the only one to come to mind. Although she wasn't very sure if he knew Elke, but it couldn't hurt to warn him, right?"
She paused at the question. "You've never heard of Archie Andrews? The comic book? Where this guy is caught in the middle of two girls and never actually chooses one, and is clumsy and a flirt?" Really? Elzo had never read comics?
