She was walking.

She was walking aimlessly; and Eve was not sure where she was because everything was white. Even she herself was dressed in white, though barefooted, and she walked, her feet mindlessly leading her. She didn't know where, and she let them walk.

Walking on... a yellow brick road? As this thought came, a road sprung up from underneath her feet, and she felt now, how solid the ground was, as opposed to before. She wouldn't have known the difference of walking on air and walking on ground if not for the comparison.

Where are you going?

Wherever this road leads me to. She answered, but instead of speaking out loud, she heard her voice in her mind, just like how that voice earlier had echoed inside her head.

This road leads to the Emerald City. The voice frowned; she had no idea how she knew it frowned when it was merely a voice, but she knew. There was a small moment of silence as she walked on and then the voice continued. The Emerald City is not your story.

With this revelation, the path disappeared, and instead of continuing to walk on air, she fell. It was strange to have walked on air and then lose her balance and everything became dark as the blonde girl in the white dress fell down, down down...

Down the rabbit hole. She said, amusing herself.

And this is not your story either. The voice said dismissively, and she wasn't falling anymore, she was standing upright. She was standing upright in a hall, a plain white hall with beautiful Grecian pillars. There were walls stretching out on both sides of her and it seemed endless. Another endless path which her feet stepped up to the challenge. They took one step, then another, and continued on walking.

Is this my story then? She asked, but the halls still remained empty save for pillar after pillar.

Not yet. With this, there was a flash of light that blinded her, but she did not stumble; her feet had stopped walking and she simply stood there as the light faded.

When it had, Eve made out three small figures on the ground and knelt. There were three cats; three guardian cats, to be precise. They stood in a row in front of her, and it was the smallest who stepped out first, the smallest which she had recently met a few days ago. That silvery white kitty who looked at her with those pale green eyes and then opened her mouth to speak.

"Where do your loyalties lie?"

Eve jumped; it was not ********* voice that came out of the cat's mouth. Instead, it was that voice that had talked to her before, but it was the first time she had heard it speak out loud. It sounded very vaguely familiar, and Eve could only stare at the cat in shock as she slowly disappeared into mist, leaving the two other cats behind.

Eve turned to face them.

One was a siamese with a blue star upon her head, and the other, a fluffy purple Maine Coon. Both of them looked affronted, grumpy even, and they did not look at each other, only her.

Where do your loyalties lie? The voice came again, but in a whisper and her breath caught in understanding.

They wanted her to choose.

She had always been indecisive about this; she always would have been, and always would be, she thought. But now, both cats' eyes were trained upon her and she shifted slightly, feeling uncomfortable. How could they make her choose? Why here? Why now? Why even make her choose, when she couldn't? Hadn't she already chosen to avoid it?

"Can you really avoid it?" Chloe spoke, and as she did, figures materialized behind her. First there was Pegasus (Or also known as Helios), then Lyra, Nemesis, Mu Cephi and was that...? Nerissa? Eve took a step forward, but Nerissa only shook her head and smiled at her, already disappearing as soon as she had appeared.

"I left, Eve-O. What's to say you can't?"

And then the Dream Team was left with four members, staring at her with grim expressions upon their faces, Pegasus perhaps looking grimmer than the rest.

"Don't look at me like that." Eve said, heart sinking, addressing the Dream Team leader. "The Princess told me. Your allegiance is to Prince Endymion..." But even as she spoke, the Dream Team members disappeared one by one, Nemesis shaking her head in disapproval ('At least I left for a valid reason') until there was only Pegasus left, who sighed and looked away as she faded.

Why didn't she understand?

"Is that what you will choose?" Zue now spoke and she turned to face him, as figures too, began materializing behind him. There was her Princess, the Prince (Serenade had shown her pictures of him), and the Zodiacs even, but most of them were black figures save for the ones Serenade had pointed out in Crystal. There was Captain Aries, Virgo, Libra, Capricorn, Cancer, and who she assumed were the rest of the Zodiacs. The Prince and Princess were flanked by three other black figures, and something told her that they were the other Seasons. The others that she could not remember.

"Will you not choose this simply because you do not remember?" Chronos spoke, and there was a hint of sadness in her voice. That sadness made her heart ache, and Eve felt that familiar tug towards her Princess.

"I don't want to cho--" Eve started, but trailed away as everyone, even the Guardian Cats, vanished and she was left alone.

"You have to."

It was that voice once again; the one that had spoken in her mind and through *********, and Eve blinked as one lone figure appeared right in front of her. Short blonde curls and bluish-violet eyes; it was her mirror image, save for a few differences. For one, the other looked taller, older (in her 20s, probably) and was dressed differently, in an off shoulder gown that trailed to the floor, pastel pink from the bodice and faded down to a light powdery green. She had flowers in her hair too, while Eve had none.

Then the realization struck her; this was Sailor Flora, the Handmaiden of Princess Chronos, her past self. Flora smiled at her, but it was a gentle sad smile she had. "What will you choose then?"

"I don't want to choose." Eve said to her past self. "Why do I have to?"

"Because your loyalty is to the Zodiac Court alone." Flora spoke, unmoving from her position.

"You don't let me remember anything." Eve retorted sharply. It had always been aggravating to her. To know, and not to remember, that was a terrible thing. To not remember who you once were when being identified as that person... it hurt more than anyone would know.

"Is that why you're indecisive?" Flora said lightly.

"Maybe." Eve said, wanting to turn away and not look at Flora anymore, but something forced her to stare right at her, to look her eye to eye. "I'm not only you, I'm myself too."

"Are we really two different people?"

The question lingered as everything around her fell apart to blackness, to pitch darkness and Eve could not see anything, not even Flora, anymore. There was nothing, only that whisper, that last sentence.

Are we really two different people?
