Eve ran from her nanny once the woman let her out of the car that drove them to the park. She had let her nanny fuss over a little bit of paint on her cheek from working with paints before they left. Said drop of purple paint was still on her cheek, but Eve didn't want to deal with the nanny when she was there for fun. She held a soccer ball in black and green that was a gift from her mother and clearly a sign that the woman wanted her to get out of the house more now that she could walk and run better than before.
The ragdoll glanced around for other children to play soccer with, but frowned as the few that she had come near seemd to want to be away from her.
She sat by the area where a soccer field was set up with the ball in her lap.

There was one girl who arrived after a bit, who looked a bit..strange. She had cleats on, but the toes were open, so her bird strangely formed toes were visible. A good look at the rest of her leg though would explain that - this girl had bird feet, along with wings and tail feathers.
Maggie carried a regular, regulation black and white soccer ball in her hands as she and her Daddy arrived at the park. The man was tall and regal - absolutely nothing like his daughter in appearance. But he still gave her the affectionate hug and nudge along that a usual Daddy might, and took a seat up on a bench to watch her play.
The bird girl kicked the ball around a bit before she eventually ended up running by Eve and stopping. "Hey! You haves a green ball! Wooooooows!" the girl said with a big smile.

Eve was startled by the girl, but smiled and nodded. "My mommy got it for me," she saw the black and white ball in the girl's hands. "You here to play soccer too?" The little girl was strange with how her feet, but Eve herself had a goat's feet.
"You want to play soccer with me?" The ragdoll asked shyly, wondering if the little girl would be like the other children and want to get away from her.

"Yeah! Daddy got me a ball, cause I wanted to plays." Maggie agreed enthusiastically.
"Sure! Do you wanna use yours or mine?" she asked, her feathery tail flicking. Why not play with this girl? The toddler was used to odd kids, being that her first friend had the glowing souls of dead people flying around him.

Eve got up, "Your ball if you want. I just need to drop my ball off with my nanny." She didn't want the ball to get taken away from her since her mother did give it to her.
The little girl remembered her manners, "I'm Eve." She wanted to jump when the the other girl wanted to play with her. She didn't though. Self-control and something she learned from watching her mother.
Her smile faded slightly when she heard her nanny yelling for her.

"I'm Maggie." the other toddler said with a smile. "I'll go with you and then we can go find somewhere to play." she told her new companion, running along with her towards where Eve's nanny was.
"She yells a lot." the bird girl whispered as they were nearing the lady.

Eve smiled and ran with Maggie to the spot that her nanny had laid out a blanket. Eve's lunch was next to her, but Eve wasn't hungry.
Lila smiled when Eve ran over though the woman looked Maggie over, wondering what the girl was.
Eve laughed and nodded, "I think that's what nannies are trained to do." The words were a whisper.
"There you are, Eve. Who's your friend?" Lila was trying to be friendly.
"Her name is Maggie. Watch my ball please," Eve handed her black and green ball to the woman. Lila sighed, but nodded, "All right, but remember your mother's checking in with you at lunch time."
Eve shrugged and looked at Maggie, "You want to be goalie or forward?"

"Uhhhhh dunno. Don't we need more people if we're gonna use real pizzytons?" Maggie inquired, flicking her feathered tail again. She'd rather just figure out who stood in front of the net and who kicked at it.

Eve frowned, "Yeah, we'd need more people." She didn't like asking the children that she had come near before. "All right, you want to kick first?"
The ragdoll didn't mind being in front of the net first.

"Sure. Let's go find a free goal." she said with a grin. A lot of them were being used by older kids, but Maggie didn't seem to care about them. It wasn't their park after all.

Eve was a little shy and her smiled was edged when she saw a few of older kids using goalies.
"I see a goal not being used," Eve pointed towards one that the older kids weren't using. It was a bit away from the others. She ran towards it, glad that she was wearing her sneekers instead of sandals.

Maggie chased after her, carrying the ball and grinning, her pigtails flying out behind her. They reached it in no time at all and the girl grinned.
"Okay, you guard first." she said, putting down the ball and putting a foot on it.

Eve took her spot in front of the goal, braced to stop the ball from going in. "All right."

Maggie waited till she was sure the other girl was ready before running a bit, kicking the ball a few times so as to get a feel for it and then kicking it at the goal. It wasn't the best kick, but she was a toddler warming up and getting a feel for what she was doing, so what did it matter?
The girl laughed. "Your turn!"

Eve ran to stop the ball, but it slipped past her. The girl wasn't miffed about it and smiled, nodding. She walked away from the goal.
