It wasnt that late in the day, the sun had barely begun to set over the stone walls of Telgar Weyr; supper, though, was already baking over the coals and most of those finished with work have gathered in the dining area to converse and relax over a hot meal. In fact...to judge from the air about, spirits were higher than they had been. Smiles were in abundance and chatter seemed to focus on those that had broken free on the Sands not too far ago.
Not that Mya could blame them; she let the thought wander about in her mind as she played with her food, breaking off several smaller pieces and slipping them to the two flits sitting on the table infront of her. To Telgar, a rising gold and a hatched clutch was a thing of celebration. And celebration is what they needed here...with the sickness that flared up within High Reaches and the passing of one of their own...Gah, what was she brooding on the darkness of the past for? Now, now is what she had to focus on. And now was a good time too, as Echo noisely chewed and swallowed a small chuck of meat swiped from her plate, only to be squeaked and lectured at by the small gold sitting next to the little green. Smiling, she reached out and poked them both on their swollen stomaches. "Oh hush, Kala. Dont lecture her on table manners when you've been stuffing yourself to bursting as well." Kala only huffed and looked away with her wings drooping slightly before proceeding to clean the crumbs from her tiny muzzle. Echo soon followed suit, though her movements were the ackward ones of the young flits.
"I wonder..." Mya looked away and glanced at the entryway of the dining area. "Hm...He'll come when he comes." She smiled to herself and went back to her food.
