This is a private role play between Asura [Zephuu] and Bataar [Kayakurai].

Setting:
Bataar is sitting on a path on the way to the market with something wrapped up and squirming around in his hands…

Bataar had seated himself comfortably in the middle of the path, every once in a while choosing to console the small, squirming bundle he held in his hands. He was here to wait for the farmer girl that had saved his life. He owed the girl much more than this small token of appreciation, but he figured this was a good way to start. He coddled his prized rat, telling it all sorts of great things about Asura to reassure the critter that it was more than worth it to stick around and stop squirming.

"She saved me from a terrible death by potato!" Bat exclaimed to the tiny creature, removing enough cloth so that he could look the rat in its beady little eye as he happily explained. In fact, he was pretty sure Asura was his best friend! The dim-witted Lunarian grinned to himself, looking rather assured about each of his assumptions. One might suppose that he only needed a hug or two, but it had to be pretty hard to get close enough to hug him with the stench rolling off of his body in waves.

He looked down the path, soon bored with the act of waiting for Asura. "Where is she?" Bat demanded to the terrified little rat, a pronounced frown on his face as his eyes traced the horizon. Wasn't the farmer girl going to come along so he could give her this lovely little prized rat?

Well, if Asura didn't show up, at least Bat would get to keep the epic little rat. After all, he was only giving it to her because it happened to be his ideal gift.

Events of weeks prior had already been forgotten to her as she packed up her crate with the day's produce. Certainly there was something that had happened but she couldn't quite put her finger on it, that is, until she caught a whiff of a rotten gourd from her stock and the memory came back like a midsummer's breeze. That maroon lunarian man-- what was his name again? Asura picked the gourd out from the batch and put it aside by her door for the rodents and birds. He was quite the character but she couldn't fathom seeing him again after she flipped his yurt.

Picking up her crate, she started down the path towards the market as she usually did in the morning. Dawn had just cracked and the sun was making its way up over the horizon as she trekked steadily along the trail. To her dismay, as she was passing through the forest, she spotted something blocking her path again. The feeling of déjà vu washed over her as she drew closer and the brown blotch took the form of a lunarian sitting on her path. Despite recognizing him, it took her a whole minute to fish his name from the depths of her vacant mind and another minute for her to open her mouth. However, in her typical fashion, said nothing as no sound escaped, rendering the farmer girl in an awkward position with her mouth agape and a blank stare plastered over her expression.

She waited until he spoke first before speaking after him as if her brain had a laggy connection. "Hi. You're in my way. Again."

Bataar watched as Asura approached him, standing to greet the girl with a grin. "I brought you a present!" the Mongol declared lamely, stealing the other Lunarian's crate and shoving the packaged rat into her hands excitedly. He couldn't wait for the expression of delight that was sure to unveil itself on Asura's face; it was clear that he hadn't learned much about her when they'd last met.

He examined the crate he'd stolen, grimacing as he spotted a few dangerously poisonous potatoes. "You shouldn't carry these toxic things around with you!" Bat whined, beginning to look faintly worried. He was an activisit, to say the least, now that he knew the dangers of potatoes. Many a day he'd gone to the market and had preached to disgruntled farmers the dangers of the poisonous, uncooked potato. Indeed, he'd put his own life in danger when they'd heartlessly thrown the poison right at him! It had been a traumatizing experience, to say the least.

He watched Asura hopefully, a grin breaking out on his face as he observed the squirming rat. She was sure to absolutely love it!
