So at first, Wiz was discouraging cheating, which I assumed was looking the answers up (I can't find the post now, I was planning on quoting it, but whatever.)
But now in the most recent announcement about the quizzes (which, of course, I can't find the exact quote for that either now), we were permitted to look answers up.
I thought I was being courteous by not looking them up, and it's obvious which I got wrong, I think. And another thing:
Some questions kind of require being looked up. I mean, how are people supposed to know which Pokemon Koga had in Heart Gold and Soul Silver after getting all 16 badges when they haven't even played the games yet? Or whose backsprite matches Silver's? Does anyone study that stuff closely enough to be like "Oh hey, Silver's backsprite looks just like _____'s!" It could just be me, but this doesn't seem like knowledge that an average fan of the Pokemon games would know. I:

Captain's Comment: As I said, Kudos to you for not looking, but I assumed everyone would have been either looking this up or, as I'd said before, boning up on obscure knowledge (aka bulbapedia being a good place to start) before I posted anything. I don't think it occurred to me once that someone would not look. sweatdrop
(Either that or I've been too sleep-deprived the last few nights.)
Okay, so here's the lowdown: If you interpreted the rules this way and didn't look and were thus confused when this popped up, say so now. If it turns out this was a widespread misconception I will allow the frustrated quizzers a second chance on the first quiz--once only! PM it to me or The iWizzle-Dizzle as usual.
But I await your thoughts on that. In the name of fairness. Remember everyone who at least participates in at least three quizzes still gets the 2k consolation prize for trying, no matter your score.
It's been a learning experience for me, too. This is my first Event, and it's handy knowledge on how to better get the ball rolling next time there is one. sweatdrop
