You walk into a room and the first thing you notice is that a scenery of a river has been painted on the walls, the furniture is all wood and there are lots of plants along the window.
Looking around you find a journal laying on top the small wooden desk, picking it up you see that it is well made despite the sloppy decorating.
Cecil's journal is a handmade book from card stock and the cover is made of heavy cardboard. Cecil had decorated it with a bunch of animal stickers that his dad had brought home and attacked the cover with a generous amount of purple and yellow paint with which he spelled out in his best handwriting the name Cecil.

Journal Entries April 5, 2010
Daddy and me went tew the park today to hunt fo eggies. 'Cept I dunno why we have to hunt fo dem 'caus dey're eggies. Dey were just layin der. Was I sposed to wait til dey tried running away and den I hunt fo them? I tried eatin one but it esploded in my mowth and little shiny bits that daddy called glitter got stuck evewywhere and little paper bit daddy called confeettttiiiiii too. I dun like thoose eggies day were mean. But a nice lady helpeed me out wif getting clean and she gave me a sweet brown square to eat. 'cept I didn't no that I was sposed to unwarp it first and I eated it and it tasted icky. Daddy sez that it was chocococo that I eated and the stuff around it was foill. I dun like foill. I mades a new fwiend today! his name is Giovanni! I dunno much about him righht now but we'll hang out mroe later! OOh ish dinner time! Daddy made sgetti! yummy!!!
